I think historically speaking he’s been considered closer to an “average” defender than Luka has been, but when you talk about what kyrie brings to the table you would never mention his defense… but you almost have to now
They never were bad defenders though. It’s mostly an effort thing.
Luka does well with shifty guards, it's when it's someone who can just blow by him is when he gets cooked but even then they pack the paint and they actually have a front court now so it's not like if the POA defender is beat they're fucked. Mavs now can actually run people off the 3 point line because they have the backline.

As an OKC fan, I’m honestly happy we’re competitive again. Tough pill to swallow but playoff experience and lack of size as our weaknesses showed this series especially because we weren’t doing the other things that masked those weaknesses. This Dallas team looks scary, and everyone seems to be firing on all cylinders. I’m excited to see them next round

Lets be honest, it should have been 4-1 if Mavs didnt fumble with their free throws on game 4. Refs tried extend the series to game 7 as well but Mavs prevailed.

As a Thunder fan, this game showed our two biggest weaknesses: our rebounding and youth. We blew it at the end with all of the offensive rebounds and our youth allowed them to go in such big runs and to us blowing the lead

Props to dallas as an okc fan, they are a fantastic basketball team. The thunder have a fantastic future especially with shai leading them he was the inly reason this series was even competitive. Chet and jdub especially let us down but dallas effectively guarded both players. Thwy gonna be tough to beat.
JDub did good this game but the lights were too bright this series.
I’m just excited to see what free agency/ trades they go for this and next summer.
They have a lot of different options they can chose from. They could get a star, just keep trading up in the draft, or get a few “star” role players to fill out their holes. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if a big trade happens with either the Cavs or Nets

My problem with Kidd’s coaching in this series is his substitutions and his use of timeouts, both of which contributed to blown leads in this game. There was a point where the mavs went on a big run that put us back within like 2 points after being down 16 at half, and he takes lively out and puts gafford back in where lively was somewhere +10 and gaff was -20. Then the game would slip back out of hand. Then when okc went on a 24-6 run in 4 minutes, kidd sat there with his hands in his pockets, no timeout to give people a break and try to reset momentum, just sat there and watched as it got worse and worse.
Respect for not immediately dropping a rebuild on OKC.
