      I realised that as well, the grain of the grip goes in the other direction, which would make your finger slide off.

    I couldn’t agree more with you on what you say than I do. I was taught to master a brush. I love my airbrush, but it’s not an easy relationship. More like a love and hate relationship. I’m good at airbrushing, so I’m told. Still I didn’t replace my compressor when I gave it away along with my airbrush to a friend. Only recently I bought a new compressor along with the Infinity. It’s a beautiful tool and the results are amazing. You’ll never get the emotional connection with it as you have with a brush, but used in the right way it can add greatly to your brush work and save lots of time.

    Great video - I appreciate the full strip down of the airbrush by an expert. I've not needed to do so yet, but you never know.
    H&S airbrushes are great, superb in fact. In the UK, military modellers were using them, so as a railway modeller (and part time ship modeller) I followed suit, I wrote a few articles and my H&S airbrushes were mentioned and photod and slowly H&S are getting known amongst the model railway fraternity too. To my mind that's great news because I think that the fact that they don't need tools for disassembly or assembly is great for beginners - avoids damage through over tightening etc. etc. Also H&S punch well above their weight and price point. Other brands with these features would cost a lot more, yet the build quality and features on H&S airbrushes are superb and there so many options in terms of needles, nozzles etc. for each type. They're so versatile, easy to clean etc too.

    It's not the Cadillac of air-brushes, it's the Porsche. Best air-brush I ever had. Taking it apart/cleaning/assembly is sooo easy. I allways recommend this even to newcomers/entry level for that reason. Use a little more money and save you'r love for the hobby avoiding frustration. Great Video.

    25psi is high? i was barely gettign any paint out of a clean brush at 30psi. must not be watering it down enough... but i was using valejo air and flow improver... was using teh H&S Ultra 2024. It worked but but man it gets bogged up so fast. It was such a faff trying to airbrush four minis i'm not sure it was any better than a spray can (which seems to be easier to control!)

    Awesome and very helpful video, thank you so much. However I noticed that the trigger on my Infinity comes mounted exactly the other way round - so the cut is towards the nozzle. Does it make any difference in which way you mount the trigger?

    Thanks for the video! I have question for you: if you had to choose just one nozzle/needle size for painting minis for Warhammer, what would it be? 0.15, 0.2 or 0.4 мм?

    • @kevinschwager4327
      @kevinschwager4327 Před 3 lety +3

      I suggest you to use 0.4 for basecoating and painting terrain or large areas like tanks and to use 0.2 for everything else. You nearly can‘t tell the difference between 0.15 to 0.20. so you can drop that 😊✌🏻

  • @chauffeurmarco

  • @MF-kv8cn
    @MF-kv8cn Před 3 lety

    hey i've never airbrushed before and I'm looking at getting into it soon. i seen these on your website and the prices are awesome. most other stores charge over $400 for this same airbrush in Canada. If i were to purchase this what's a good set of parts to also purchase just in case something was to break; like whats the most likely part to break on the Infinity CRPlus?
    and if i get a paasche 300r compressor since it can deliver up to 35 psi and its $165, what would i need to make the Infinity CRPlus airbrush work. just an adaptor? I assume the compressor comes with a house.
    im a customer of your store I've shopped a few times with you guys before. Awesome selection 🥳
    thank you

    • @robertbikers9502
      @robertbikers9502 Před 2 lety

      I would suggest a pancake compressor like from Porter Cable. It won't have to run all the time and have plenty of psi. If noise is an issue get a longer hose and put it in another room. You'll want to have an intermediate pressure regulator at your table anyway, the Iwata one with built moisture trap is really nice.

    • @MF-kv8cn
      @MF-kv8cn Před 2 lety

      @@robertbikers9502 thanks for the reply. I was checking out iwata and they don't have a psi regulator to set specific psi. The paasche ones have a psi knob. I think it can be added to the iwata but i dont want to have to fiddle with it, im not the handiest person. Plus the iwata is already near $400 plus the psi gauge is another $100. its not he money, just saying it seems like there's cheaper and better designed options out there?

    What is your reason for not shooting thinners through your brush to clean?

    • @1ungawa
      @1ungawa Před 3 lety

      No reason. The whole purpose of the new h&s tech is so you can spray cleaners and solvents through the brush without concern.

    • @kevbee8325
      @kevbee8325 Před 3 lety +1

      I’m guessing it’s either a 0.2mm or 0.4mm needle/nozzle although Harder & Steenbeck also do a smaller 0.15mm and a larger 0.6mm needle/nozzle set which are also compatible with the H&S Evolution.

    Tip - Suggest avoid using Q tip to clean inside below paint cup, loose fibres off q tip can lodge on side and later come off clogging future sessions or worse getting pushed into the nozzle between needle and nozzle wall causing spitting and other irregular spraying. Good video otherwise.
