  • As the first city in the Czech republic, Brno got a horse-drawn tram in 1869. Today, 11 lines serve the 70-kilometer network in dense intervals. While mostly driving on the streets in the city center, the trams often use fast-tram routes in the suburbs, allowing a high traveling speed.
The rolling stock still consists of many Tatra trams of the T3, T6A5, K2, K3 and KT8D5 classes - the T6A5 cars are even used as triple-units on line 1. There is also a steadily growing number of low-floor trams.
In this video, we follow the "Šalina" through Brno, from the huge residential districts in the suburbs through the city center and to the natural monument "Stránská skála".
