I have a Chevy pickup truck it's from the past
Thank you wery much for your content, explain, your exellent work! But welding frame, for me, wan not so good. It needs to be welded from bouth sides, i understand that it was too hard, and will be a planty of work. This is a place with a much more load than we can imagine, couse of weight not only truck and car behind, but the road trash too - holes and hard hills.

Hey chris im an mot inspector over here in the uk just watched jens vid on the honda fix and was wondering what kind of inspections you guys have over there in the good ole US of A?
No one can accuse this guy of being lazy. Knowledgeable, crafty, thrifty, and sensible. Wish him all the success he deserves.
😂
I'll second that.
For a young guy, he has an amazing amount of mechanical and electrical knowledge of vehicles.
His interactions with Jen and Gus, is a joy to see. He is a good man and l wish him all the best for the future.
Absolutely....
This has turned out to be my favorite automotive channel. Thanks!
Me too 💪
Me 3 😁
theres a new queen in town ...long live Jen
Great channel
Mine too! I have an ‘89 R3500 GMC flatbed diesel…
I've been watching your video for a month. I wish I was your student because I am also very fond of machines and cars. I don't get bored the way you're not bored. What amazes me the most is that you don't seek help from anyone other than Jane. You take care of everything alone.
Chris I’m a retired certified welder with 40 years experience in all metals and I don’t see anything wrong with your repairs , putting the scab stiffener plates with strengthen just fine brother and I’m here to enjoy your videos! Nothing criticize your methods of fabrication or repairs, the video critics need to take it easy on you buddy! lol 😂 Only thing I’ve learned welding one big rig broken frames years ago I welded everything with 7018 stick rods! Looks great brother, thanks for sharing my friend! Always sending prayers for you,Jen and Gus! Stay safe, warm and healthy y’all!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Kirk from Lake Charles Louisiana! Oh prayers for Turbo too!🙏🏻
Awesome, thanks Kirk and great to hear that you approve the repair! Hopefully it holds up good
Keep the wrecker videos coming, I like to see you breath new life into her. Brings back memories when my dad had a towing service, Stan's Service out of Detroit. Thanks
My name is Don I'm from Chicago I love your videos you getting that tow truck right very nice job on that weld and frame have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
I love it as well the will start videos are cool but putting some cash into the ride making it usable is so cool and way better.
You Tubing many years Chris....YOUR channel is the only one I ever considered joining and DID !! You remind me of my 'mixed martial mechanicking' of my old days. Keep it up and more importantly, keep it real !! Real people look forward to it buddy.
Can't thank you enough for that aqua pig! I try to keep things real and really do enjoy fixing this old junk. Hopefully more awesome stuff to come. Thanks so much for tuning in and being part of the channel
everybody needs a tow truck like that
You're a guy like me who has learned how to do more with less. I salute you sir
You"re the type of guy like me who has learned to do more with less. I salute you Sir!
I could watch you work for hours straight! Loving your content, the passion you put in what you do and the way you're able to share it with your spectators. Definetly the best channel if you're into this type of stuff! Greetings from Italy!
Thanks so much for the kind words Lorenzo in I greatly appreciate you checking the videos out. Much love from the USA
I completely agree
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow that oil filter mount you need is like 12 bucks brand new I would get a original gm part if possible I had and engine hurt when one of the after market filter mounts cracked on me I only use the GM performance parts ones now with no issues
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow put your logo on the tow truck instead of dubals...NNKNH...
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow after the welding did you paint with anticorrsive paint?
The wrecker has been one of my favorite rescues. A workhorse that needed some serious help. Great progress and really interesting to see the repair priorities change as the project comes along. Also, no one ever forgets the vehicle they learn to drive stick on, cheers to Jen. Thanks for another well done, informative video...top notch content.
Yep. Mine was a '71 Volkswagon Westphalia camper van my grandparents bought new. Had to double clutch early and often. . .lol. It was early 90's when I was learning with it.
I hate to say it but I watched Jen’s video before this one. She’s amazing
holly cow, glad you pay attention to that cracked frame b/c that plate was 100% hiding it.
My dad was a heavy equipment mechanic and he had me learn how to fix things by letting me try and figure problems out on my own. When I just couldn’t figure it out he would show me how to fix it. I am not a mechanic by any means but I love to work on different projects here and there and this channel has reignited my interest. Thanks for the great videos man!
From burns to cuts, broken bones and pulled muscles, the generations coming up have no clue what hard work is all about. Thanks for showing how to get it done.
Ain't that the truth! We can't even find anybody wanting to learn!
@@unsafe_at_any_speed Yep. True my friend
There’s so much potential to make money with that old beast. NoNonsense Towing and Repair…3rd channel for towing recoveries… As hard as you work the sky is the limit.
Always up for some more wrecker repair video, I laughed my ass off when you were playing with the dog in the house swinging him back and forth with the blanket, I used to do the same thing with my dog and he loved it! Very cool memories 😎
Absolutely well-rounded videos, with a nice touch of personal fun with Gus
As a mechanic of 40 years enjoy your channel. Great skills and attitude of getting the job done.Good to see some people still out there that can fix things in a society of throw away and buy again.
People that dont live where we do will never understand the struggle with rust 🙁
Thank you Chris
Jen, Turbo, and of course Gus!!
Good morning Chris and Jen and of course thumbs UP!!👍
Don't forget Gus ‼️‼️
@@explosivebody1260 what about Turbo!
You need to add Diesel Creek to your list of must watch channels. Matt is the bomb. Also FarmCraft101, that guy is like you, he does a lot of metal work as well as wood work but a lot of mechanical work as well. I can't get enough of you guy's.
+Also Pakistani Truck......
First time watcher here , I've worked my whole life in truck and trailer shops, I think you did a fine job on this , next time it'll probably be going to the scrap yard .
I truly believe that this truck needed you as much as you needed it....I hope she puts some work in for you .....after you saved her life.....wood blocks wrapped in yoga mat are your best friend with a sling..them things tend to go hard on vehicles
I have this gut feeling that there are big things coming for Chris and co. in the form of sponsors and such.
Request- When you move to a shop, can you do a video on the move, like a full in depth video. I have a feeling there is so much packed into that little shop that it will be jaw dropping to see it all start coming out.
I don't know I feel like that would add so much stress to and already stressful thing. Lol
Those kind of repairs are the most satisfying.
Yes please I am transfixed watching you fix things so I will watch what you do, Love the way your cat loves the dog.
I always love the feeling of fixing the little things that, while not important, are annoying. Like the ashtray.
I rémové those disgusting ashtrays
yes love to see more on the tow truck ,,thanks
Brother and I are huge fans we can sit and watch hours of you, usually upsetting our mom, anyways we’re all the way from Texas close to Mexico, going up to New Jersey for school in January! Where do I apply for apprenticeship!?!? Lol
Thank you for your time, keep the videos coming mate. Have to see what the girl is doing on her show.
Looking forward to Jen's second lesson in the newly fixed Wrecker. Should be much easier now. Great video, Chris. 👍🎿🍺⛄
Nice repair work. Gus is one of the cool kids and don't even know it. 😁
She's as solid as I used to be.. well done son.
My jaw literally dropped open when you revealed those cracks
Wobble pops and NNKH and VGG is the best of the week
Absolutely loving watching you bring back this ol wrecker. Keep it up.
Man I hope we get membership to the point where you can move and have at least a 2 car garage ! Working outside is extra challenging so hats off to you for what you do. I see a lot of my past in the things you do, in regards to doing whatever it takes to keep shit running...LOL TIMBO !
Taking a break from replacing coils and plugs on my F350 and watching a little NNKH hell's ya
Working in the rain, getting a ton of work done, prudence. Good job dude.
Very effective repair on that frame. The rest of that truck will wear out before your repair will rust/fail.
I know I'd like to see more with this rig. It's great watching you tackle problems you run into and you're ability to capture how you work through them is awesome. Maybe this rig will turn into an income generator for you. It looks like Turbo really loves Gus at the end, that's sweet. Thanks for another great one!
Reference your almost under your breath comment from Jenn’s home repair video (lol) - I never thought about what it’s like for you in your specific situation regarding all these vehicles... you are not a restoration guy so no slow roll. Not a turn and burn like a flipper channel. Not purchasing personal vehicles with unlimited budget. Not a numbers matching historical guy nor a resto mod guy...
I could hear your tongue in cheek saying not to buy junk otherwise you will be stuck on every little thing. But it’s your channel brother! And it’s awesome and hopefully paying good bills! Who knows, if not for the wrecker Jenn would have missed publishing great video and you would have been elbow deep in sewer pipe part 2.
You took an unsafe wrecked wrecker and made a safe tow truck out of it. Good job.
Thank you for no "nails on the chalkboard" with this video! Great video Chris! Merry Christmas to Jen, Gus, Turbo and you!
I love these tow trucks videos man! This has too be my favorite series!
Your the old soul that you're grandfather left use with ✨️
I always appreciated your abilities. But my respect increased substantially after hearing Hank Sr !!
These are my favourite videos, little jobs like these, fixing issues here and there, it's strangely soothing to watch ❤️
Looking forward to more videos on the wrecker.
Im new to this guys channel,This guy is a beast rain or shine cold or Hot he is working on something.Nothing holding this cat back........................................................................Fort Worth,Tx
I like that wrecker wayyyyy more than I ought to lol
Chris
Your video content is top shelf.
You are so knowledgeable, calm, cool, and collected (at least i far as what's edited) 😆.
Seriously, though, keep the videos coming and the awesome work.
Hi Gus 👋!
Keep the wrecker repairs coming! Great video.
I look forward to a episode where you start talking about building yourself a garage! Always look forward to your new content you definitely deserve the garage of your dreams
Sir you have my admiration. You repair things and not afraid of work.
I enjoy watching your work on the wrecker. Very handy thing to have!
I'm absolutely loving the wrecker series and it seems like something you could really use in your line of work that should pay for itself over time.
Ambitious hard working dude.
The perfect sign of happiness in home, is when dogs and cats are good friends ( 38:36 ); thanks for this lesson on broken frame, we need to do something similar, at the chevrolet suburban `89 broken frame. Saludos
It would be interesting to see a frame diagram of the C30 Wrecker in your video. This truck has a lot of utility!
Really enjoying the series on the wrecker, Chris - more, please!
Hallo Chris. i most say. you are the best✊. i really enjoy watching your videos, Merry Christmas to You-Jen-Gusmann🤗.Turbo, and the chickens😊, Love from Denmark⛄
May be the most satisfying video of your channel so far. These weldings !
That frame repair and shifter fix were incredible! You my friend are fearless! Those formed box pieces might be holders for the stinger spoons when they're not in use?
Yeah that could be. They're pretty light duty though
Absolutely love your video's Chris... you make it "real".
You provide great inspiration to those of us who don't mind getting dirty and love to learn..hands on.
Keep up the great work.
I'll have to show my father in law those brackets you found, he's been running wreckers and ramptrucks for years. They didn't look familiar but he would know.
You have so much energy Chris and great skills. Wish I had a tool kit like yours 😁. Love that you brought the wrecker back to life. Cheers. Geoff. England
This was a great video. I really enjoy your commentary as you restore this wrecker to a strong and usefull work-horse!
Thanks Harold
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I too just wanted to say: and I don't comment on channels much, but I just have to tell you how much I'm enjoying all the hard work you're putting into your content!
I truly enjoy watching your thought processes, it helps me a lot with my old junk! I've learned so much!
I also deeply appreciate your attention to our interest in your content format. It's been extra work for you I'm sure but it's been great and appreciated!
I love getting exactly what I want to see with more available if I choose to at some time down the road. But this has been awesome!
I'm still only subscribed to your channel but that may change, your wife is a very talented person and musician, and I'm always glad to see families including their WHOLE family working together as as you can tell by my thumbnail: LOVE the pup shots which you keep to a very fun, reasonable distraction.
Sorry for rambling, but I just wanted you to know I see the hard work and appreciate it. Loving the whole format of this and the last couple video more than I can say. I think you've really found a niche here on YT over the other guys just trying to find gimmicks to just make $$$ (nothing wrong with making $$$, I just hate to see the pure pursuit of it consume people's content). I really feel like you have great knowledge to offer, and deeply appreciate it.
Thanks.
Great work as always Chris! Keeping the past alive!
Great video, and Thank You !! for including Gus. I love the little guy.
Red-N-Tacky #2. In my humble opinion it's the best grease on the market. That's the only grease I will willingly use.
More 88 Square body wrecker stuff! That is awesome Man Chris thats an awesome rig you have there fella! I am wishing you and Jen and Gus and Turbo a very merry christmas! Keep up the awesome work!
Chris i gotta hand it to ya….not only are you a badass mechanic…your’e an awesome welder too….big up’s on that fix bro…wished you and Jen lived down here in New Zealand i’d be steering a lot of well paid work your way…Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year for you both and Gus & Turbo
Always like watching your videos. You work hard and smart. That will carry you far. Lots of talent. Skills. Signed a old retired carpenter superintendent. In. Sc.
Really enjoy watching your channel. Your shop set up and equipment makes me jealous! Keep up the great content I learn something new in each one.
The bushings in the wheel lifts are a common wear item. You should be able to get kits to completely re-bush the lift and make it good as new.
From Zip's
Tip: Everything comes apart a lot easier with a couple beers.. LOL 🍻
Jumping up and down yelling “Oh yeah! That’s fixed Bbay!’ had me loling. New meme? Great vid once again.
I love that your giving this old rig some attention great job!
First video I've ever seen of you was the Gran Torino vlog, since then I'm hooked lol, could watch for hours. Love the channel, love your work and passion for what you do, Jenn and Gus make the perfect complement for the variety of the channel, it's a balance of "mechanic educational stuff", vlogging, and just a guy having fun living his best life. Even learned a few tricks myself just from watching your videos and listening to your tips and advice. I really wish you the best man, Merry Christmas and greetings from Argentina
Thanks for another quality video on how to "get shit done"
I bought an old wrecker back in 83 first week had to replace clutch , yes good memories repairing yes part 7 lol 👍
Love watching you work. I think you should order some custom NNKH mudflaps for the wrecker. That'd be awesome. Keep up the good work. Have a Merry Christmas!
Thanks for checking the video out! And great idea!
Keep them coming brother! Enjoy very much 👍👍
After I graduated out of high school years ago I used to drive a tow truck just about like that I can remember getting paid $1.25 an hour back then money went you could buy something but now you can't buy nothing I love your movie keep it up and God bless your family
I like watching your channel because I feel like I'm one of the only people left who still uses air tools over battery powered. Good to know there's others out there.
Battery tools are great but man are they a pricey investment. I absolutely love my Milwaukee M12 cordless ratchet and Milwaukee 1/2-in impact. But to get every tool they sell I would go bankrupt. Now if they sent them to me that would be another story lol. I do like air tools though.
@NoNonsenseKnowHow back when I started wrenching in the early 90's, what cordless tools there were had no umpf and were giant and heavy. I never grew out of that mentality I guess.
Great work ! Satisfying and educational at the same time 👍
Thanks swagman
Chris, Keep up the good work. Always interesting and informative.
That is called fish plating. Stronger than new.
Keep fixing up the wrecker! Can always use it on side jobs to bring in income. Good investment!
Nice job fixing the tow truck cracked frame. For what it’s worth and just an observation,i noticed there were heavy rubber mounts missing between the frame and mounting brackets.May not make a difference but probably put less stress on your welds. You bolstered them up pretty well that they’ll last.Just thought I’d mention i saw them missing.Looking forward to watching next video. Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!
Awesome work. You are super resourceful Chris and use what you can find.
It’s the kind of fab I like.
I just watched Finnegan's Garage and I seen him unbox a KnowNonsenseKnowHow coffee mug! I have been a follower of both channels for some time and I really love both!!!! Keep putting out videos because y'all make my life a little more enjoyable!!!!
An enjoyable "Fix-it, make it better" video.... something everyone needs to know .
Love the content!!!! Keep posting!!!
Very cool to see your problem solving skills. I learned a lot watching this.
can't wait to see jen drive the tow truck!!!!!!!!!!! she'll have to learn all over again !!!
I first found your video on the CAT 977, Loved every second of it then I hit your channel and found everything else. Amazing stuff man, you and my dad have a lot in common, he is a Mercedes and BMW mechanic with his own shop. He has many toys just like you, many cars, two boats, two motorcycles, snowmobiles, and a side by side just like yours. Please keep doing what your doing man, its great. Dad is not a computer guy but I plan to share your videos with him next time I visit.
