It was actually pretty cool that Zaheer played a supporting role in helping Korra get over her long-term trauma. It was an unexpected, but interesting switch to his character.
Too bad he is a bad guy and will remain in prison the rest of his life.I kinda liked him😢
@@hassanjaved9398😂😂 see now he only helped cuz kuvira is a problem 😭 if he got rid of the whole kill all dictators thing and ppl roam free natural order thing I can rock with him fr
@@ashleydavis2124red lotus more like dead lotus
@@ashleydavis2124ikr he would actually become an airbending master and would be a perfect example besides tenzon to guide and help the new air nation. But omg all his talents and wisdom, and purely interest on the air nation wasted😢.Such a fine Airbender gone to waste sadly😔

23:31 “You give metalbenders a bad name!” Coming from Toph, that says a lot.
As is the fact that Kuvira chooses to do nothing; she lets them get away.
She's let absolutely nothing stop her throughout the show, but tangling with THE creator of Metalbending, aged as she may be? There she draws a line. Absolute legend you are, Toph :P
Yeah imagine devoting your entire life to learning a technique and then the creator of that technique calls you out.
"You give metal benders a bad name"
Damn, that's a callout from THE metal bender.
So much of what's wrong with this show has to do with Nick sabotaging it.
fr, other than the people who hate korra specifically. the problems they have with the show that its "fast-paced", "korra got over her ptsd too quick" "s1 ending is bad"
@@lol-np5vp, somehow 3 years is too quick for them. You can't show everyday of dealing with PTSD in 13 episodes.
@@ishan_ghimire and you cant even say 13 eps because nickelodeon cut off the budget making them lose an ep and decrease the quality
@@lol-np5vp , yeah that too. I actually like the contained and multiple storylines with each season, but had they gotten 20 episodes and entire series greenlit at once, I wonder how the show would've been.
@@ishan_ghimire fr tlok had so much potential to be even better and the way its so good despite how much it got sabotaged proves it
Kuvira sent her divorce papers in very quick and light way to be honest.
but they weren't married just engaged. so she broke that engagement off swiftly
Describing him as "Napoleon Dynamite" is so great coz that literally is John Heder
If this show ends with a giant mech fight then just imagine what the next avatar would have to fight. Toph and her kids are so freaking cool
Guns would really help non-benders even the field.
@@Jay-gq1moi kinda hope they continue in the more steampunk direction
Go full Gurren Lagann and have people earthbending planets, firebending stars, cosmic airbending, and... water... something. Gravity? For the 'wave' thing?

4:18 Surprised yall didn’t bring up that was Zuko’s daughter
Well the show didn’t make it obvious, you needed to gauge the fact she was THE Fire Lord and not like a representative
@@itsturniptime3699they literally call her Fire Lord Izumi in that very scene

no genuinely i adore korra
out of every character, she's the one i'd love to hang out with
especially when you look at how much she's emotionally developed since book 1
Again, RIP Philece Sampler - She did old Toph and was amazing at maintaining the sass!

Bataar be like "I didn't think the face-eating leopard would eat *my* face."
LMAO
Bolin: "So how long has it been since you two have seen each other?"
Toph: "I've _never_ seen her." [waves her hand in front of her face]
If I'm remembering correctly, the Zaheer appearance here was the one where they had Henry Rollins in a shadowy corner reading with Janet Varney in the booth to make her sounding scared even more believable.
Every time I see that giant mech that Kuvira pilots, I think of the Jagers from Pacific Rim.
Exactly. My first thought with giant robots is Zords but it doesn't fit here so Jagers are the next best thought
It personally reminds me of Megatron. Mainly because it has the same destructive power as his fusion cannon. The spirit weapon is even placed on the same arm as Megatron’s cannon.
@@Laserbeak316 THANK you. I thought I was the only one that saw that.
The quick fight between Su and Kuvira is just sooo good. That rotating piece of metal transforming into an armor is super satisfying
Some people hate kora bc she isnt aang. They have this weird curved perception about "how kid supose to be" ignoring fact that aang was 12y monk and a master before he know that he is an avatar. And korra was sheltered prodigy that we see at her prime age. People just dont wanna admit that their are like kora. That do not behave like typical hero.
Plus, they fail to see that every avatar is different from one another and they each have different challenges in their lives as they journey with that responsibility and Korea’s journey is just as good. Some of them are just over biased with the last airbender, which I get, but come on.
It's really sad that their hatred makes them blind to what a genius show this is...
nah Korra has lots of issues. I don´t really hate it but can´t love it either. ATLA is just perfection as a series while Korra struggles at this. It still has awesome moments no joke but the peaks alone don´t make a good show. For example most of the main characters aren´t so great in my opinion beside Bolin (one of 4 is kinda weak) and certain side characters. And if side characters are better than the main cast it´s even more concerning. And that´s only one thing of many why "haters" dislike this series. Unfortunately people can´t tell apart "Don´t Like" and "Hate" anymore. But blind supportest are always on the right side huh?
And there it is, the reason I compared Kuvira with the leader of the Decepticons back when you guys started this season.
She not only shares Megatron’s philosophy of “Peace through tyranny!” But now she wields a gigantic mech suit with a spirit cannon attached to its forearm that has the same destructive power as Megatron’s own fusion cannon.
Speaking of that, they should react to Transformers: Prime at some point
@@ashhabimran239 that would be amazing
Colossus was most unexpected thing in this show.
Tbh, there were mechs since the start of Korra so it wasn't that far fetched
@@cxthednalien Just didn't expect kaiju sized mech who can fire laser from his hand cannon.
@@gamerzilla6113it's kinda funny how the brain works sometimes. A giant spirit kaiju totally fine but a giant mech nope. Other than aesthetics functionally speaking there's isn't much different between unnalaq/vaatu and this mech.
I think Kuvira actually does care about Bataar, but her mission is more important to her
Toph misses Appa, she may not so say, but it’s clear that she misses him a lot.
I love that toph stepped in and kuvira just let them go, she wants none of that.
There's an interesting comparison with Zaheer's reaction to the death of P'Li and Kuvira personally trying get rid of Baatarr Jr. if it ment he would inhibit her plans.
5:40 lol the funniest part is even the people complaining are helping y’all
I don't care how strong of a bender i am i see a metal collosal titan with a ray gun coming toward me MF I RUN
bro when you realize that Amon, Unalaq, and ZAHEER all found someone they loved died or was about to die, they ALL SHED AT LEAST ONE TEAR. Kuvira OPENLY AND IMMEIDATELY MOVES TO END THE LIFE OF HER PARTNER AND IS BACK TO BUISNESS
Kuvira is savage yeah lol
And I LOVE the Beifongs! Greatest earth/metal bending family ❤️
The Beifongs are built different🔥🔥
(At 4:05) And THIS is Zuko's daughter. Kind of disappointed we're seeing her "late" before the series ends.
Kuvira being fascism and Zaheer being the most extreme form of anti-fascism (anarchy) and thus working against Kuvira as good-guy-adjacent is quite politically nuanced for a Nick show, and I’m surprised they let it through.
Korra having some Ptsd 11:55 this is crazy that the one that traumatized her is also the one that is now trying to help her heal it
OK, I don't defend kuvira much, but at that last scene when she shoots at bataar Jr, she basically did the same thing as Zaheer: she let go of her earthly tether. So, mad respects for that 👏🏾👏🏾
(At 24:11) I'm starting to think Bolin is an "easy mark" and everyone except him doesn't know it.
I actually like Korra more than Avatar (and I love Avatar) and I further acknowledge that Korra was able to build on the foundation of Avatar... but I love Korra as a character and I just like the show so much more.
I still can’t believe they let Varrick back on the scene😂 The guy’s a goddamn narcissist
Yesss finally we get a bit of full circle with Zaheer. I am glad you guys realized how he was willing to help! Zaheer is one of the most interesting and complex villains I've come across. All the villains were great in LOK but Zaheer is next level. He is/was fanatical, but his belief was always around freedom. He is completely fine with "the enemy of my enemy is my ally" mentality. Add to it Korra willing to listen because she knows that the stakes are high. Time to drop any pride and use whatever resource you have. And fuck yeah for Toph!!! "You give metalbenders a bad name!" Is such an insult unique to her! You nailed it how must that feel like, for the creator of the art to call you out. At one point Kuvira must of respected Toph. That would hurt to hear. The mech suit rolling in is insane, especially with headphones. I think your idea about a giant pit is not bad, but with how the gun can reach she doesn't need to cross the pit. And since they had only hours from the discovery there might of been too much panic to get a pit created.
kuvira is kinda like ironwood , she doesnt emotions stop her from reaching her goal
They did him dirty.
Kuvira really said "Let go off your earthly tether, empty and become... A SPIRIT BEAM"🤣🤣
Zaheer had to lose his lover to gain the power of flight, she was ready to end her lover🤣
I think you guys are selling Kuvira and Bataar's relationship a little short. I think she was very serious about their relationship, and I don't look at it as being very one-sided, it's just that she's more passionate about their goals than he is. Her reaction to shooting at him wasn't her way of saying she didn't care about him, she just knows that she can't afford to let her grief way her down. In her mind, she thinks Bataar would want her to carry on with or without him. She's gone too far to turn back now.
KORRA LET"S GO!
Toph could beat Kuvirah + Army in this Episode and Kuvirah knew this. But at some time u gotta leave it for the Kids. 😂😂😂
16:48 she lays the same way 😭😭🤣💚
33:00 are they gonna be like ? "hey we kill this man if u dont do this." And Kuvira like "meh, go ahead and send me a limb" 🤷♀️ 😂😭 35:00 and i oopp 😂😭😂 35:27 aaaanywayyy 😂😂😂 omg i cant. Nevermind lol she really said, hey ill do it myself.
Never let someone you love fall in enemy hands because the enemy will torture and break them. Then use them against you.
Sometimes killing a love one is Mercy for both. But besides that Kuvira is a monster. Even if the overall idea is just.
on that day.. Republic City received a grim reminder..
You guys got me interested in watching ATLA and Legends of Korra for the first time I loved both of them so much ❤
7:30
Yo, it's the Egg-grapes.
WOW THE END ALREADY
whats interesting about kuvira is she is literally doing what Sozin did with the fire nation. like history is kinda of repeating itself.
Only the fire Nation was global conquest and Kurvia is like Nazi Germany or Putin Russia. In the taking back what was theirs.
gave that thing a mussy 😂😂
@6:34 Well not quite with ATLA. Originally it was only greenlit for 13 episodes (so it would end on Blue Spirit) and some point before they I guess finished the animation for 13, Nickelodeon approved for more episodes. I don't know if it was just for the rest of the season or they said for the rest and two more seasons. All info is from Mike and Bryan on Braving the Elements podcast.
The firelord not wanting to help is a slap in the face to the president when he didn't want to help korra with the water tribe civil war in season 2 😂 wish korra would have rubbed it in. Oh well
Lmao I love when reactors call out the haters. Touch some grass, haters.
(At 13:25) I say I have to agree a Toph, her granddaughter's bison is disgusting and smelly then Appa.
Operation Beifong is hands down one of the top 3 episodes in the entire franchise for me. It's so good.
The scary thing is that giant cannon on train tracks is based on something the Nazis were brainstorming during WWII
10:55 Being the main reason someone has a sheltered upbringing, kidnapping them, poisoning them, attempting to kill their friends/family, trying to forcefully collapse their lungs, shattering their entire foundation of self worth, and leaving them wheelchair-bound are in no way countered by saying that they're using you as a crutch to feel better. He really thought he had her with that, even after she decided to let go and face him.
In ATLA and LOK, the good guys go to crazy lengths to not KILL the bad guys. Zaheer is the first time this policy of mercy doesn't bite them in the ass.
The fact you weren’t excited about Zuko’s daughter!!!
Real
This man Sean did not just say they’re hooking them up to the matrix 😂😂😂😂
I love how boom said BLAHP BLAHP aahaha.
I think Kuvira did love him she's just literally willing to throw away everything including the man she loves for her ambition.
He's so Napoleon Dynamite that he's even voiced by him
Kuvira's actions have consequences, the problem is that she's not the one facing them... as a result Korra has to overcome her trauma by facing it, through the tutelage of Zaheer - not a redemption but a 'yeah this didn't go how I planned so I'll help you take down another tyrant' kinda way.
Nah Opal's bison is just like that, he can still do the work though! As the Beifongs - plus Bolin - do a family breakout operation, including Toph! We got a father reveal for Lin, but it's nobody we know. We confirm Zhu Li's duplicity though, seriously carrying a metal tool around a metalbender?, so Kuvira decides the best course of action is to nuke her...
but intelligence is building up for the heroes, but perhaps a little too late: the finale is taking shape and that shape is a Spirit Cannon on a giant mecha! Even crazier, Wu is actually doing something! The kidnapping plot for Bataar seemed solid, but there's one thing they forgot: Kuvira's fucking crazy!
Facts. I’ll be in the patreon soon, but again; from a completely scare die hard who is a 3rd person pov in terms of Korra. I completely get where this was limited but this was 25/10 times better than I expected. Good writing, you can very easily see where they were hindered (continuity from season to season long term). But it is still a very good show that is imo easy 8/10 overall that could push original ATLA for a 9.5 if it wasn’t undercut. And I’m not blaming Nickelodeon. Even as I pre teen during ATLA, I didn’t have a single spect of respect t for Korra. Watching it has shown me this had an amazing potential that easily delivered on and could have been exponentially better if it did not have to deal w platform issues. Again, in my opinion.
Thank you guys for the content! I literally never would have watched any of this show if it wasn’t for you three!
It's always been my personal theory that Bataar was Kuvira's beard.
Nah, she clearly did love him
Same, but I think we're projecting because Zelda Williams' voice is so damn HOT
I’m not ready for the finale next week 😭😭
4:04 the fire nation is kinda like Germany here. ^^
Korra's problem was more than the connection to the spirit world. Katara helped her walk, Toph helped her get the poison out which lead to avatar state, Zaheer helped her reconnect to the spirit world which lead her back to raava. It was a lot of emotional trauma on top of how she felt at the end of season 3. I though she was crying because of the emotional trauma but it was the fact that she didn't feel needed as the avatar when the air nation took her place while she felt useless and not the capable avatar she thought she had to be. Jinora even hinted at it when she fough kurvira and said "whats wrong we got all the posion out." It wasn't just the poison but all the emotions and trauma Korra had keeping her from being able to do the things she was ment to do. But thats the conflict also because everyone is telling her how to be the same way every past avatar told aang to kill rhe firelord. He didn't want to do it and found his own way. Korra is realizing that too, she doesn't to be exactly like her past lives or how people want or need her to be. Toph and Zaheer were the best mentors for her believe it or not.
I don't think Korra got access to the Spirit World too quickly. After all, the spirit world is tied to ur mental state, and Korra was healing that the entire season. I think finally facing the very man and thing that traumatised her so much was the final step. It required immense will power and the realisation that she's in control again. I love how it went.
I love Korra! And the show! She's been through so much
Watch wakfu next
Anyone who knows where to watch season 4?
I think it's really cool that the spirit vines are basically nuclear technology. 💀
27:30 lets gooo 👏🙌
zaheer is one of those well written villains in the sense that regardless of the atrocities he committed, you can still see his point somehow, he is the chaotic good, willing to do what it takes for what he sees is "the right cause" he is still a bad person but makes sense he would help korra
nickelodeon is an actual true villain of the series.
33:10 daamnnn Korra 🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥👏
Doesn't shock me with the budget cuts. We're talking about the same network turn down Adventure Time and decide to give the green flag to Fanboy and Chum Chum. 😢
32:47 LITERALLY!!
Hate it or love it! Views is the point for every show or movie‼️
28:23 i keep finding Dragon Ball "references" made by myself xd, like this and Mr Satan for example here

Ohh, its the Toph episode!! 👏👏
Its me or Boom looks too much handsome today? 😳
You know what, yes! I think he changed his hair style.
22:50 I am glad that Sui tries to take some responsibility for her mistakes in her life but every death that occurs in this Season is 100% ALL Sui's fault.
The Earth Empire was tearing itself apart, The entire nation was falling into Anarchy. Might made right, those who cannot exert power can at best hope to gain the favor of those who could.
The leaders of the world come to Sui and say "You are a respected person in power. Your city is rich and at the forefront of technology. Please aid us in restoring order to the nation because people are suffering and dying!"
And Sui. In her weird self-righteous belief that frankly seems worryingly close to the Red Lotus beliefs that I have to wonder if there wasn't two moles in her city in Season 3 (who'd know she was lying? The other mole?) she would never let herself be given power or authority over people despite what they wanted from her was to HELP RESTORE ORDER until they could reinstate the royal family.
So with a nation tearing itself apart, people dying in the thousands and suffering in the hundreds of thousands Kuvira had to do something. And because she didn't have the influence or United Republic support that Sui would've had she had to use an Iron Fist to get people to fall in line behind her.
And that is my Me-Talk about why everything is Sui's fault.
10:08 👏👏😆
Actually it get on satellite eventually. I saw it not sure on cable. Plus I heard they pushed it. A little bit on the cartoon too. Supposedly not sure about that.
33:20 it's not so much about Korra being a pacifist like Aang but that if Korra inflicts too much damage (which would be easy to do with the Avatar State) she could kill him and then they definitely wouldn't get the info they need. He's looking at this as "you're threatening me with the Avatar State as a 'I could kill you if I choose too' but I know you captured me for my knowledge so this is just a bluff".
Well, I think she is also much less thirsty for violence than she was in the past. I don't think she likes the idea of killing her enemies anymore (though she could if she feels she needs to.)
WAIT YOU GUYS USE FOLDER ICONS TOO?!?!?! 6:10 6:32

Most of the people hating on Korra are the same people who were hating the Netflix Airbender before it even came out. These “true” fans just can’t stand the thought that people might like Korra or the Netflix series more than the cartoon and that it might be forgotten or ignored.
I honestly think it's more so the second part than the first part but as someone who loves both ATLA and Korra almost equally I agree..
