- Boom Boom Room was a British male vocal/instrumental pop group, comprising Andy Nakanza (vocals), Skid (drums), Inz (bass), and Lushi (rhythm guitar & bass). Lushi was also in a band called One the Juggler. They had one single in the UK Singles Chart, "Here Comes The Man", which entered the chart on 8 March 1986, and reached #74; it was in the chart for one week

This song was a big hit in South Africa in 1986 hitting number 8 on the charts. Brings back great memories. Here comes a man pulls down his pants and all his friends are staring. There is nothing there, but bushy hair and all his friends are laughing. Lol

I remember it used to be the add track of the discontinued deodorant ( STORM ) for men we used to have here in South Africa... Pitty though coz it smelled really good...

OMW, I was in matric when this song came out...fell in love with it, and the DJ that played the song at our shcool dance, lol. I'm 54 now and STILL LOVE it!!! Good memories
What I like about the eighties is that it was a very creative time for music, people experimented with traditional and electronic instruments, just love it, brings back some memories.

many years ago i had a cassette tape free with a magazine and it had this and 3 other songs of theirs on it and i absolutely loved it ! this is still one of my favourite ever songs ! shame they didn't do more and have a successful career in the music industry !

The singer Andy 'nakanza' Manning disappeared off the face of the earth and save for one other single after Boom.Boom Room he never recorded or released a song ever again..very VERY weird.
The guy had talents.. maybe one day we'll find out where he went.
I was into 2-tone back in the day and not electronic or new romantic, but I always loved this song and thought it should have been a much bigger hit. I still listen to it occasionally 30 years later

Absolutely loved this as a teenager, Andy’s Mum was friend of my step-mum which is how I heard about it. I owned the shaped picture disc but leant it to a friend and never got it back - gutted.

Should have been a far bigger hit - unfortunately coming out in 1986 this had probably missed the synth pop boat by then - i this had been out in 1982/83 it'would probably have done far better.

Probably right with that. They did a few other decent singles as well. You had to sell many more records then to get high in the charts. However even in the early 80’s there were some great artists and tracks that never charted.

I remember they used this song for a "Brut" commercial
The track was featured in a Southern African TV Commercial for "Storm Deodorant", and to this day the track is remembered as an 80s Hit and featured on many SA CD compilations, with the music video officially released on Absolute 80s Music Video DVD compilation series.
So i mistook this as being fra lippo lippi for years, finally dug the vinyl out today and boom, here they are on yt! Tfs. Shame Days Like These isn't available somewhere, thats even better than HCTM.
