    Welcome to our 2015 update.
2015 marked the Hubble Space Telescope’s 25th anniversary. To celebrate, they published a number of spectacular images. We’ll see:
    • Caverns carved out of dust by a new star in the Orion Nebula
    • The Veil Nebula move
    • Through the Eagle Nebula
    • A spectacular view of the center of our galaxy
    • Andromeda galaxy disk details like we’ve never seen them before
    • A lonely galaxy on the edge of our Local Void
    • Hanny’s Voorwerp one of the strangest objects ever seen
We’ll also update Gaia’s progress, and take a look at Laniakea - a new way to identify superclusters.
The LHC at CERN reopened in 2015 after a two year upgrade.
Both CERN and Hubble touched on Dark Matter over the past year, so we’ll examine the evidence for Dark Matter (Coma Cluster, Bullet Cluster, Gravitational Lensing, Fritz Zwicky, Vera Rubin, galaxy curves, etc.) and discuss a few of the possibilities for what this mysterious material might be (hydrogen, WIMPS, Neutrino).
I trust you’ll find it interesting and informative.

When he's doing his intro I feel like I'm in the finest restaurant, getting a read-out of the delicious specials of the day, from the chef himself.
Every dish sounding tastier then the last, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

@just saying Ha ha. Yeah, and assuming it hadn't been pre-planned, what are the odds that a read-out of the dishes in a restaurant would just happen to be said in the order of increasing tastiness?😵

    Mr. Butler,
First, let me start with saying that your videos are incredibly informative, easy to follow, and overall, an absolute pleasure to watch -- thank you for this! My father was an engineer, and contracted with NASA back in Hubble's mirror mishap days, and I got to grow up immersed in everything "space" with him -- many nights spent together with a telescope studying and wondering what else lies out there we cannot see! He got sick and eventually passed, and along with that, so did my interest in continuing on with the hobby. However, I found your videos a couple of years ago, and they singlehandedly have revived my interest to the point that I am back out with a scope and camera again. So thank you again -- I really do appreciate it!
Side question here if you don't mind -- what program(s) do you use to make these videos? I have been thinking of putting together similar videos (albeit not as in-depth) for my four year old daughter. Hopefully to spark an interest so that someday I can continue the tradition with her. In the mean time, I thought maybe some neat videos for her would be nice, and if you do not mind sharing, I would love to know the program you use for it?
    Thank you again, Mr. Butler.
