Bryson is the most innovative professional golfer on the planet. The bulking up, single length clubs, arm locks and the way he goes about playing is all different. As is his CZcams content. The dude doesn't need the money or fame but looks like he is trying to give back. The PGA Tour lost nearly all its interesting players to LIV.
I’ll never understand why people criticize Bryson for being super technical and detail oriented. These guys get millions of dollars if they win and doing everything you possibly can to make it easier sounds like a no brainer to me. I’ve yet to hear him say anything that doesn’t make sense. It might not work for everyone but he does what works for him. Hard to argue otherwise with his recent performances

The whole Bryson hate broke down this way as far as who was responsible. 70% was media driven, 20% was from Koepka, and 10% was from Bryson. They shoved a microphone in his face after a bad round and he said his driver sucked. Who hasn't walked of the course and said the same thing to your buddies who asked about your round. It doesn't mean that you actually think the equipment is bad, it was that part of his game that day.
All you LIV haters never question filling your tank with Saudi gas, or question the bank you use that is invested heavily in Saudi Arabia, you don't check your IRA's to make sure there is not any investments in companies from there.
Players who went over to LIV was by choice, when people fill their tank, they largley don't know the source of it or have any idea what shell companies they set up to cloak their money into that investment portfolios are invested into by banks or other money managers.
Only the most ignorant person in the world wouldn’t realise where gas to fill your tank comes from. There is a clear choice on that front - get an EV and solar panels to charge it if the “outrage” over where the money comes from (or goes to) is real. Ignorance (or the pretense of) is no excuse. All money, at some stage in its cycle, can be said to be “dirty”. The US PGA Tour are just hypocrites and don’t like someone else doing to them what they have done to every other golf tour in the world over the last 30 years. A monopoly in any industry is very bad and eventually will be fair game for a “disruptor”.
Why doesn't PIF spend their money you know, actually IMPROVING THEIR OWN COUNTRY! Public Improvement Fund, not buy a bunch of sports enterprises as a PR move.

The whole Saudi is bad narrative really falls apart when you actually understand geopolitics. There isn’t a single innocent country in this world and if you live in the United States you are the cause of half of the world’s problems. And I still consider myself Patriotic or proud to be an American. Do a little research and you’ll find that the stories you hear about Saudi is mostly propaganda. The whole khashoggi thing is hilarious once you realize what he was actually doing 😂

Agreed. Do we say bye bye Aberg, Clark, Scott etc because they missed the cut? DJ obviously played poorly at the Masters but at least he made the cut and had a good final round

@LegolasFan69 well he was number 1 for 64 consecutive weeks and only 4 players have bettered that and 135 weeks total. He was top 5 or 10 at least for a decade at least...

@LegolasFan69 believe me I'm a DJ fan but since Vegas he has really struggled especially on the greens which has always been his nemesis as it is with many others. I'm hoping he can put it together at Pinehurst or Troon to shut some people up. Even as a LIV fan I'm realistic that golf is a fickle game and they aren't all going to be in the top 10 at every major or even make the cut but many are still world class or at least top 50-75
Bryson is a passionate performer who has matured in front of a microphone. That weekend was his B game and he was 20 under for a major. I only wish the PGA players had the same goal of bringing younger players into golf. I think that Rory not bringing it home when Scottie played in shock mode is the story. It has been 10 years. Congrats to Xander and Bryson dittoed that at his presser. A class act and I am a believer.
To be included on my driver check out list - using Ping as an example. This means "everybody" agrees the G430 Max 10 is the most forgivable. So Mizuno has to get consensus from the CZcams reviewers on the characteristics (length, distribution, sound, feel or any other criteria) that appeals to their (Mizuno) market goals. That means no matter who your favorite reviewer is you get a single message --> Mizuno has the best (characteristic) that meets my need.
On the "what would make you try a Mizuno driver" question: They need to send stores lefty demo heads. I know lefties are a small segment of the market, but in the Chicago area, they're the worst of all the major OEMs in terms of just finding a demo head to hit. I'd be very interested in buying several ST-Max products -- I could see going driver, 3W, 5W, 4H -- but not without hitting them first.

I recently bought the Mizuno STX 220 6 and 5 hybrids because I was looking to change out my old JPX 900 irons. Got them cheaper than irons cost and I saw they were more forgiving. They are amazing. So I decided to try their same generation 5 wood and it is amazing. Now I have the ST-Z 220 Driver, in wrapper, for 1/2 the cost of a new one. Hit it 20 yards minimum farther than my Ping G410. It is straighter than any driver I’ve hit. Maybe next year I’ll upgrade to their new driver, ST MAX. Today I got the ST Max 3 Wood! Un-hit at this time!! They have come long way from all I have heard. Definitely a good product! The ST 223’s are probably even better!
I've always liked Bryson, koepka was and still is a royal jerk, I also have the cobra one length irons in my bag thanks to Bryson, it's simplified my iron game for years.
He is and has always been likeable. No one has to like him but his contribution to golf with speed gains, bulking up, arm lock and same length irons is interesting. And his social media game is good now 😂

Let me thank Xander for Finally getting the job done on winning a major ( makes it sounds like what took you so long, I won one a long time ago) He should have just said, great job Xander you played lights out today and all week. Also, in the same interview he says I didnt have my A game today but then goes on to say my putter was an A, short game was an A+, iron shots was an A driver was a B. Give me a break.

So when LIV players play bad it’s because of the league and the money but when pga players play bad it’s because they can’t play well all the time. How come JT and SPEITH who have been playing badly for over a year now how come it’s not because of their making millions in sponsorship money?
Big thing as a lefty for trying Mizuno products, stop saying it’s your tradition to make one lefty model for your different brackets of clubs. I actually purposely didn’t get Mizuno irons because of that and avoided trying a driver all together when getting fit. Show the lefties some love.
-215 for the field and the next best was +44 , this course was 250 stokes easier by the metric.
Why would I be WILLING to trust Mizuno? Japan. For the same reason you can’t beat a Japanese car. For the same reason I play their irons that are forged in Japan, not China. I also have a lot of respect for Chris Voschal. He’s driven and now, he’s got the administration on board.
Mizuno brought me through the front door with their irons. I'm so happy with them, I was open to seeing what they had to offer with the driver. Can't say they are as forgiving as Ping, but this year I picked up the driver, 3w, 5w, and hybrid. I now have a complete Mizuno bag except for the Jailbird putter.
I called Callaway in late March and asked about the TD Max and was told it would not be made commercially available, so I bought the TD. Totally pissed now, would’ve liked to have had the option.
Mizuno, i guess for the moment will be in my equation when there's a significant price drop later in the model year, cos there's too much stock sitting around.
On a budget I could see myself giving a new Mizuno a whirl over a used SIM 2 etc.

Nope, that wasn't the point of that segment. But to recap, the point was that w/o access to majors, LIV golfers can/will be replaced on the world stage by younger, better players. And that's still going to happen. See: DUSTIN JOHNSON>
Not to sound like the total MGS homer that I'm about to, but for Mizuno to break into my top 3 or 4 to try in the fitting bay they're going to have to stand out for some good reason in the Most Wanted testing. That's what I've been using to at least initially thin the herd. Then it becomes which of those perform best for me, but I don't have the capacity to test everything myself, as much as I'd like to be able to do that. I'm sure Mizuno and Srixon and others are making some very fine drivers but it's tough to break into the space. It looks like they're getting closer though.
Agreed! This is a big part of the value around MW testing (and the breakdowns by swing speed, etc.) - Meaning - to help you clarify which models are most likely to offer you the best performance and then you can figure it out from there...
IMO it’s Hovland & Finau as best players to not win a major. I suppose there’s Rickie too somewhere.

I hit the ST-Z for a while and I really enjoyed it. Now that I have the G430 Max 10K I won’t be trying other drivers for the foreseeable future.

I understand Bryson 100%. My dad rest his soul was a physicist and very highly educated. He was eccentric and different but a good guy. He analyzed anything and everything to the max. Probably drove my mom nuts lol. Bryson seems very similar

I think you have to give the guy KUDOS; he is nice, entertaining and more down to earth than people think. Not to mention an amazing golfer! Give him the respect he is due.
Why is it a negative to NPG that Bryson, or any other golfer "Left for the Money?". Who among us hasn't taken a similar job for more money, let alone 3 to 10 times the money. If any one of us could leave a $50K job for $250K, are we now supposed to get shamed from our peers for taking a job for more money? Careers are for making money. Their spirit for sinning will have them competing at top levels going forward, whether they are making LIV money or grinding for PGA money. Please stop trying to shame players for changing tours to make more $.

No, we definitely do not have to like Bryson. Was he less unlikeable? Yes. Did he remind us why he is unlikeable during every close up of his LIV team uniform? Yes.
He definitely seems more fun and having more fun. Can you imagine a bigger sports turn in recent history if he gave back the LIV money and returned to the PGA? It would be insanity.
