    if you want them stiffer, you can take out the helper spring(theres 2 sets of springs on the front, take out the small one and adjust your height again. itll make them way stiffer)

    Brought these, had em of a few year. The ride is not the best, but looks great. I ended up raising it slightly higher. Saving for BCs at some point, but these will do.

      Yeah me too I want to move over to BCs as well. love that they incorporated the Camper plates for the fronts

    I wonder how they will fair with a different set of springs that are a bit firm. Like some Tien springs.

    • @pythondon
      @pythondon  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I thought about the same thing bro, but at that point who’s to know how easy it would be to take apart the coils and add the springs, plus cost etc. 450 on coils plus the new springs. Might as well just go better quality coils or even build your own combo of like Tien springs and bilstein shocks or something. We’ll get new coilovers if I go widebody 😏

    what’s the specs on the wheels/tires? love the fitment looks like meaty track style, also do u recommend me these coils if all my oem suspension is trashed rn and I just want to lower it and refresh it without breaking the bank?

    • @pythondon
      @pythondon  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Thanks brother! Yeah I kinda miss this fitment not gonna lie. I have quiet a bit more stretch now than what you see here and a degree or so more of camber. Fitment is 8 inch wide up front 8.5 rears. I think I was 225/40 Upfront and 255/35 out back on the rim width I mentioned above.
      Also, that is Exactly the scenario I would recommend for this set up. Anything other than that I would save some more and just go BC Coils.

    2 months later, how do these coilovers feel ?
    i'm considérant buying FKs for my golf mk5

    • @pythondon
      @pythondon  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Brother I’ve had these for a year now. I’d say for some cheapies they’re ok. If you’re coming from Some old tired factory suspension they’ll be better forsure but don’t expect worlds of difference, i’d say maybe a tad stiffer than factory with the ability to adjust height.

    • @looaaannnn
      @looaaannnn Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@pythondon thank you for your response 🙌
      i definitely think i will buy FK coilovers next year !
      my car has very cheap suspensions with factory springs, it will feel better for sure 👌
      and i just want my car to be lowered by 4 or 5 cm, i don't really want performance (even though it would be a + )

    How is the ride quality? And did they reduce body roll? Thinking about picking these up

    • @pythondon
      @pythondon  Před 5 měsíci

      Honestly brother the ECS sway bars did a larger impact for me on Body roll than these coilovers did. Granted I was already on lowering springs but still the handling improvement from those felt greater tbh 👍
