Golf is like a marriage. It’s one thing after another. 😂🤣🍻
😂😂
…..and not always good!
Steve’s class always has been ❤️
Simple no nonsense advice. Not too much to think about. Absolutely right about playing with the fade setup, it just encourages more slice. Thanks Dave.
Let’s go DAVE!!!!!
I like the training sticks for alignment. They show me that I am always aiming left with my feet. Together with a tension free grip in hands and arms and allowing my left heel to move on my backswing has improved my score. Great idea.👍
Fantastic lesson. Thank you Dave
Super Dave,
I’ve saved, like ALL the others.
I’ll watch tonight, busy cooking for sports banquet (150 peeps)
🙏🏻😎🙏🏻
This totally changed my driving I was slicing massively once I squared everything up I hit some great straight drives mostly around 200 yards longest 230 considering the course was boggy with no carry I was more than happy with cheers golf mates
Love the videos with Pete they always seem so relaxing to watch, he is someone that would be great to have a pint with
More great and easy to understand advice from Dave. He is such a good coach.
Great advice, love the way Dave keeps it simple. I can only see good consistency by practicing these drills.
I finally cured my slice and it was a combo of things that allow me to hit long straight drives. I move my right foot back. I play the ball back. And I play the ball further from me so I have to lean to it. As well, I move my right hand clockwise on the grip. It works!
Jim Davis exactly what I changed mate.... worked a treat for me.... gained at least 20 metres, and stopped dreading my driver tee shots.... 👍🏻👍🏻
Super Dave, its what I've been trying and works very well for me...
Dave I must say it is great to view your videos. Unlike many other You Tube instructors you don,t give the old waffle of how many years you have been playing, how many years you have been teaching and how many lessons you have given over your time as a Pro. Just straight forward, clear and precise "tips" on how to play the game and rectify faults. Most of us take these lessons to heart and try to observe them when playing or on the range, that is with the exception of Liam but I just assume he is ignorant of any advice and just works on promoting his videos as just fun loving golf with friends. His loss I say. Thanks Dave for your free time
More greatsimple advice from dave. Good stuff.
I love that tip to get the right spine angle. Thanks Dave.
As others have already stated, straight to the point, easy to understand lesson from "Dave the Rave". Sorry, Dave, couldn't resist the nickname. Looking forward to these tips from Dave more and more each week. Thanks, pal
Cheers Gary
All Dave’s videos so far in the series, have given simple tips to take to the range and on to the course thanks Dave
I went with a mate to driving range yesterday I haven’t played golf in many years I hit with his driver about 165 to 185 yards but was bending so much to the right I swapped to his 5 iron and was hitting nice straight shots but only 125-135 yards so I preferred losing distance for accuracy personally but I’d like to hit longer and straighter obviously if I decide to take up the sport and buy a few cheap clubs just to start me off so hopefully videos help :)
Brilliant, Dave. My instructor had me doing this same headcover drill the last time I saw him a few weeks ago. He even had me take my address position, then took an alignment stick and placed it on TOP of my trail elbow, and UNDERNEATH the lead elbow, to get me feeling what it should feel like having that right elbow lower than the left.
Great advice and instruction.
Thanks Dave.
Thank you for this great lesson gents! Is this video in a playlist?
Love this segment. You talk so much sense Dave and easy to understand.
By far the most effective tips for slicers! Gonna try it tmrw! Thanks
One lesson I would like to see that is rarely talked about, is the pull to the left whethere it be with a driver or even a wedge. I can hit a nice little draw but it goes to the left. Some days it just won't go away. Ouch!
this one here^ my drive almost always draws left, especially when i dont want it too
Thank you Dave the pro great tip
Tried for the first time today. Amazing tip, worked fantastic, thanks Dave
Thanks Dave and Golfmates Team.
Really well done - not too much information but clear and practical.
Great lesson, simple and straight to the point.
Excellent video as always. I will use the alignment sticks the next time I practice driving. Your point about keeping it simple is one I’ll use, we all try and smash the driver as hard as we can. Your point about working on technique is one I’ll use because if the basics are not right forget about practicing.
A clear easy to follow & helpful video from a great coach.
Simon all the best on your new adventure, it was a pleasure and an honour just to watch you play never mind the the amazing sense of humour and I hope to see you on the channel again some day, take care and respect 🙏
Has improved my game immensely. Keep up the great work Dave. Angela
Glad helped
Cant beat these videos they come across so well and the content is great advice it's down to us to use and put the time in to take up the knowledge . Keep safe and well golfmates
This tip is a game changer. I hit driver and fairway woods better than ever. It didn't work well for irons. Please advise and thanks agsin
great tip
Dave thanks for the golf lesson. Been having trouble with my driver loosing distance. Didn't realize I had moved the ball in the middle of my stance. Moved the ball forward on my left side got my distance back, and straighter. Got about 15-20 more yds. Thanks Dave 😁 Ken from the US
Dave should have his own channel. Golf basics. I watch so many others they just confuse me and over complicate things. He explains in a easy way and you think yeah that’s easy.
Great tips Dave. You ARE the man!
I have been slicing my driver recently.
Class pure class
The man talks sense.
Great insight and Dave keeps it simple. Wonderful instruction.
Love these tips Dave
Brilliant Video Thanks Dave. Certainly has helped me over the last few weeks. Cheers.
Great advice Dave 👍 I've given this advice to many but they just can't commit on the course, alright in a driving range atmosphere but once that left to right wind hits them on the 1st tee they automatically aim left again, perhaps I could tell them about tucking the right elbow in next time 👍
Thank you Dave 👍
Thanks Dave. Need to keep working on this always as a new golfer.
Excellent instruction, in desperation I came to try this techniqe of tucking in the right elbow. Use it for irons as well and it works for me. Thank you
I really enjoyed Dave Mackinnon lessons thanks
Simple, great, advice 👏👏👏👏
Had this lesson with dave on Monday out on the course,it definitely works,i just need to work on it a bit more.
Practical, easy to follow - excellent!
Love the tips Dave keep um coming 👍
awesome practise.,thank you
Good tilt tip.
Great straightforward video lesson
Great stuff Dave 👌🏽🏌️♂️
Great tip thanks 👍
I very nearly gave our great teacher the name "Simply Dave", then realised that probably wouldnt go down too well. Sorry Dave....BUT... His tips are just that: simple, common sense, no frills golf wisdom. Brilliant as always sir!
Simple drill. Looking forward to trying this out.
Cheers Dave , good lesson
THANK YOU DAVE, GREAT CONTENT .
Thanks the peoples pro off to the range after work to try this thanks david 👍 😀
Didn't learn how to drive but did learn I have a Knuckle on my back forearm which is good
Love ya work Dave
Excellent tips Dave, will try out
Brilliant Driver tips Dave, cheers
Good sensible, achievable advice.
The reason you slice is because you throw at the top and come out to in with an open clubface. The easiest way to fix this is to strengthen the grip so the clubface is square to the out to in swingpath. That will of course cause you to hit it straight left. After a few straight pulls left on the range, aim RIGHT. That will square up your swingpath and with the improved grip square up ball flight. Yes, you are still hitting a pull but because you aim right, the pull goes straight. The beaty of this, is you make just 2 changes at set up...1. aim right...2. Tweak the grip. Then let the swing go where it wants to go...straight.
Boy does mr barlow need that lesson 😀
Superb tips thank you Dave
Simple, logical and just as it says on the tin brilliant
Great to see Dave on again keeping it simple. The amount of time I’m unaware of being lined up straight 😖
Fantastic advice thank you 😊
Nice video Dave I will try it when I go to driving range
Great advice & tips from Dave. 👍
Very helpful Dave, thanks.
Magic, well said Dave.
This video could be the saviour of my golf game 🤞
Thanks Dave. Another great tip.
🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🍻🍻
Struggled with the driver yesterday so I'll work on these tips.
Bogeys and doubles all day, then sacked it off on the last hole and used the 5 wood. Made a birdie.
But, I don't want to give up on the driver just yet.
Very good and there are a couple other moves that you make that you do where many slicers do not. But i presume you dont want information overload.
Great lesson Dave thank you.
Great video. Subscribed! Any golf instructional video over 8 mins is usually waffle.
Dave, you make it sound so easy to do. But...I've taken to keeping the driver in the bag and using a four-iron on the tee. I don't hit the ball 200+ yards but it usually goes straight and in the middle of the fairway.
Great video 👍👍
Love this! Defo need to work on things like this! This week I've gone from flat pulls left, to massive slices 😭😭😭
Cheers Dave
These tips from Dave are gold.
A true gent, thank you Simon, good luck down under
Cheers again Dave. Looking forward to watching this lesson
Bacon sandwich, cup of coffee and another great lesson from Dave. If carlsberg made Saturday mornings!
Great, simple to understand tips again - brilliant vlog
Cheers from #500
Cheers Dave, I'll try this... sounds simples..
Great tips Dave!
Thanks Dave
Morning 👍🏼
Well done Dave.
I hope you follow up on the promised video for "limited mobility" golfers. Or in my case limited flexibility. Thanks for what you do Dave👍
Absolutely it’s in the pipe line
