Wow. Here we call that type of stuff "ghetto". The basic improvements that can be made on these ideas are significant.
The part that pained me the most was the vertical drilling for the angled wire soldering iron bracket. If you're going to have vertical holes, you should have bent the wire straight where it goes into the holes.
