Thank you so much for the video of Mackinac Island……on my bucket list! You used your vacation time to share with your viewers and I appreciate it.🌺🌷🌸🌼💐🌷🌹
Jes, This is the best, most informative, most interesting, and most peaceful tour of Macinack Island that I have seen so far. I particularly like the shots of the water and town that you have shown. not to mention the beautiful flowers, of course. Thank you!
Hi Jes, until I have the opportunity to visit the island, last year I purchased Jack Barnwell‘s (autographed ) book, “The Gardens of Mackinac Island” , 2nd printing 2021. It is written by Jack Barnwell and Sue Allen. The photography by Jennifer Wohletz is magnificent. It makes a great coffee table book or something to leave in the guest room for those gardener lovers! 🌸❤️🇨🇦
My husband and I were at Mackinac 6 years ago and it is truly spectacular! If you haven't seen the movie "Somewhere in Time", be sure to check it out. It was filmed there. Stars Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour.
Oh I so enjoyed this! That island is absolutely beautiful. You filmed it so well too that I felt like I got to see all kinds of plants that would have caught my attention. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jes, thank you so much for the great filming. I’m only at the start of this video but I noticed I have a new fondness for those yellow begonias. Although I’m partial to white , pink , purple and chartreuse , I find yellow really brings happiness to a semi shade garden😊. 🌸❤️🇨🇦
Hey Jes. I have to say that I prefer your garden over this island. Sometimes they have it too busy with too many colours. Your yard is calming and the plant placement is much preferred.
Hey Jes and Nate, thank you for taking us on your vacation with you and showing us all the beautiful flower settings there is. It seemed so peaceful. I have always wanted to go there maybe someday. I bet it days feel like a whole different world there. Just watching your video, I could feel that. Wish I could do flower gardens like they do. Wow, so gorgeous 😍 and just hearing the water hitting the rocks oh wow, absolutely tranquility. Thanks again Jes this was an amazing trip. God's blessings to you and Nate ❤😊 love ya's
Thanks for sharing mackinaw with us I haven’t been there and would love to go there someday. I have the aqua pots they are great but heavy.❤enjoy your vacation.
I just love you Jes. Thank you so much for being us with you again this year. It’s so magical And beautiful. Those dahlias!! Sooo beautiful! Those pink ones, I couldn’t take my eyes off of them! 😍😊♥️
Thanx for taking us down by the water too. ♥ I think the white pots with the pink and purple combo was my favorite. Gives me ideas for next year. If I could choose a favorite flower to grow it would be begonias. I've had various big and small. I think I've had that same peach one you showed. They grow well in semi shade and you're not a slave to watering them. I'm a rock hound too. I have gathered limestone rock from by a river to line my small flower beds. And I used to take the grandkids beachcombing when they were little and we'd gather small stones. I still have the jar full we gathered. This was a great video. Hated to see it end. 😊 p.s. you mentioned they have chocolate there. hmmmm sounded yummy...I might have to take a trip there. lol
Beautiful movie Jes! I live in the U.P. just a couple hrs from Mackinaw. Love going to the island…it never gets old…always so beautiful! You should watch the movie Somewhere In Time filmed on the island with Christopher Reed and Jane Seymour. I bet you would love it!
Loved the tour so much!! Thank you Jes! I’m with you on those aqua pots, geeze they are so expensive. I would love one but man just can’t justify spending that much money on a pot. So many pockets of inspiration garden beds there. I keep telling my hubs I want to visit. We’re only maybe 10 hours away here in Kansas not too bad of a drive. Also, I’ve been looking at the weather in Michigan and my word you guys have gorgeous weather. No wonder you’re planting most the summer. It’s so pretty there. We’re going into our triple digit heat, high humidity and no rain for 2 months, that’s what July/august is here very hot. 🥵 Have a great trip! 😊❤
Such beautiful scenery, the flowers, the beautiful rocks & trees & your rooms view was wonderful. Glad you’re taking your time to enjoy your time there & spending time with Nate. That’s what’s so important. Thank you for taking us along 🇺🇸
Beautiful tour, thanks for having us tag along. Nice surprise between the hedges, those planters along the pier are gorgeous. Last winter I had someone's channel in my feed, they live on the island. Their videos were them just walking around the island in and after it snowed. Really nice to see.
I bet Nate would try and lift one of those rocks for you 💪🏻👍🏻 it was beautiful Jes thank you for sharing your time with me, it was so fun, 🌹🌼🌷🌺🪻🌸🌞have a wonderful blessed day 😇🙏🏻
Jes your face just lights up with sunshine when you are at Mackinac Island Gardens, so refreshing! Hope you enjoyed your trip, nice to get away now and then. I was watching Jocelyn's latest video she made about her hydrangeas. She mentioned she is not suppose to trim down the Endless Summer hydrangias. I thought that you cut yours back at least a third of the way down in the early spring. She stated they bloom on old wood but I would think the blooms would grow on the lower ol wood. I lover her channel as well as yours. I look forward to both.
This is soooooo beautiful. I have not been up to the island in years l just love the sound of the waters. from the lakes Thank you for sharing all this beauty❤
What a beautiful couple! ❣️. Thanks for showing us around and for an amazing video! Enjoy your stay. You both deserve a relaxing and an enjoyable time!
Jes, we stayed at the Iroquois in the room right below where you are staying. Have you seen the movie, “Somewhere in Time!” It was filmed on Mackinac. There are photos in The Grand Hotel and information about the movie. I think you would love it.
Jes those PW Supertunia Mini Vista pink star just make those beautiful pots just pop. They are all gorgeous.(They are the ones you weren't sure of there name). I almost ordered some this year but I didn't and I wished I had. My theme color this year is the same as there at the Iroquois, white, pink and yellow and I just love that color combination. Thanks for taking us along with you and Nate. I love this tour so much. My girls and I were planning on a trip to Mackinaw this summer but it got canceled So this is a nice surprise. I just love it.
😮Back at Mackinac, Yahoo ! This is gonna be cool 🌺🌹🌸. Hope you and Natey had/have the best time.) I used to think begonias were old lady plants too but now I love em.) They are using a lot of the shorter dahlias in the pots this year - love it - want some 😍 I don't think you are allowed to steal the rocks Jes 😂
I don't care for all those colors combined in the flower beds, it looks like a chaotic mess. The perennial beds out toward the water look really good! The lamium corner was nice till you saw all the mixed up colors again. The aqua pot arrangements are gorgeous. The window box is also really nice. I usually like everything about the gardens in Mackinaw, not this time.
I’ve got to take a trip there! So you stayed at Hotel Iroquois? Is that on the island? I’m saving this video! Great job on filming & love that you showed full, wide view so we can see the “painting” of the landscape. Thanks so much! I too love those begonias!
Thank you so much for the video of Mackinac Island……on my bucket list! You used your vacation time to share with your viewers and I appreciate it.🌺🌷🌸🌼💐🌷🌹
Thank you, Jes!! I felt like I was actually there. So beautiful! Thank you, again!

The flower combinations are so beautiful. What a lovely and peaceful area. Loved hearing the lapping water. Thank you for bringing us along!

Mackinac is so beautiful in summer with all the gorgeous flowers. Down here in southeastern NC, I'm just trying to keep my plants alive!
Beautiful!!!

I love Mackinac Island! Thanks for the tour. Is the garden at the Iroquois still a Proven Winners Signature Garden?
