Please do lots more of these musical interviews with Jon batiste - these are great!!
seconded - and just a tambourine!!!!!!!
And Curtis Harding. Two true artists interviewing each other
This needs to be a regular segment
Batiste is rocking, maybe some more interviews with musicians and Batiste?
seconded
Great idea. This was great....
Yeah look for the Aspen interview. His knowledge of Jazz and american musical history is encyclopedic. which figures because he has a Masters in Music from Julliard
He is really, really good at what he does
This needs to be a segment from now on. Let Jon interview your musical guests on the streets of New York.
I appreciate this little slice of their shared experience.
This is a great idea. A segment where John walks several city blocks interviewing the guest musicians!$$$$
What a great Job! Shout out to Jon with his originality, sincerity, and talent. More Please!
Literally just discovered Curtis out of the blue yesterday and can’t stop listening to him. Some insane talent there
do more jon. more jon. share the jon. for the people. word.
The musician version of Riding in Cars with Comedians.

Love me some J Batiste
Amazing interview. And I love this little stroll down a NY street too.
Jon is a beautiful soul and he did absolutely great with this refreshing interview. Keep them coming!
Shook Jon’s hand at one of the shows. Such a great guy and talented as anyone. Hoping nothing but the best for him!
You better not wash that hand
More Batiste, please.
More??!?!!!!! The guy never shuts the fuck up
I would watch an hour of this
I really love these snippets of Jon Batiste, the guy knows his tunes
Love this! More Jon Batiste please
This is nice 😙 Pls do some with members of Stay Human as well, they barely get coverage 🤔
Totally. Would really love that.
I really needed to hear this.
Jon is certainly an underutilized resource.
He know what to ask to get other artists to talk about what they love and feeds the passion in their words, rather than interrupting.
He's familiar with the world other artists exist in and genuinely cares about everything they have to say.
I think we'd all love to see more interviews like this with Jon.
Ya'll are my heroes, especially Jon. Thanks guys.
Now that's something. Walking down the streets and talking, Amazing.
I would love to see more of these kinda interviews between Jon Batiste and other musicians.
This is awesome! More of this please
That was awesome! As an atheist, I would love to have the music of church-but without all the other stuff. Can I just come and be part of the music?
I agree... no annoying Quaker stuff.
Ofcourse you can :)!
Of course!
Most Soul music isn't even about church! Come join!
Healing Asthma A Case Study My 78 year old sister, who is a lifelong atheist, has been singing in gospel choirs for years.
Wow...that was light and deep....powerful and so cool...great post !!!! amazing
This is a great concept. Jon also asks good questions. Keep it up, guys!!
What an honor to hear these two men speak together.
Love this. Need more of this.
More of this please!!!
Love these interviews/conversations. Jon Batiste makes the world a better place
These are two of my favorite singers ever. I can't even imagine what they could achieve together and...They just talk. Really frustrating
Loved this, thanks!
More of this please! I want to see Jon do this with Kendrick.
I really love Curtis, he made real good music.
Thanks! Great interview Jon!
Bone chilling cold, and still he carries his tambo. * nods slowly *
That was AWESOME.
Great cinematography! I noticed one of your cameramen sneaking by at 4:32 :)
A great walk and a great talk. More of this please.
Nice to see more from Jon - he should get more show time!
I loved this. The carbon friendly version of "car pool" karaoke I hope it becomes a feature.
Well done! Please make "Walking and Talking with Jon Batiste and [guest]" a regular segment.
I so enjoyed this.
I love Jean Baptists he is so Awkward and Delightful. Big Fan here.
Beautiful piece.
That was really great!
More of these, please.
That was beautiful.
oh my God that tambourine music is sweet!
The Late Show needs more more more Jon Batiste!!!
when was this filmed? Its a lot warmer in NYC today
❤️💕💥
Why does it look like its still so cold there in NY in May....? :O
While I'd love to see more of this, don't think it will happen. Jon tunes into a specific energy with each artist which is rare to find. it's magic when it happens though :)
much love
Jon Batiste, keeping it real!
Must be wonderful to have a talent for singing, like your mom
And use that talent to uplift others!
holy shit, my brother went to high school with john batiste
they must've filmed this in jan-march? They're in winter gear and it's hot in NY right now
MORE JON BATISTE!!!!!
*YOOOOOO* what happened to the live performance video with Curtis Harding on stephen colbert?!?!
Fuckin' excellent walk'n'talk.
Damn this took a while to put up
Damn Jon is a wizard on the old tambourine
When was this shot? Ore is it realy that cold this time of the year in New York?
Nobody Interesting it is probably is. I mean I'm from Kentucky but it felt like winter just last week. The weather here flip flops really bad.
4.51mins
of soul wisdom
"That comes from Church."
"Yeah"
Jon Batiste. Doin NOLA proud.
Lovin You, Boo. How's yo Mama & dem???
Jon Batiste seems to be right handed, because he plays melodica with his right hand. But he plays tambourine with his left hand. It's funny, because I do that too :D
Whew.
Walking in ny looking good... then a tamburine fell from the sky 😁
Gotta say, as a New Yorker, it's painful to see them take up this much space and walk at this pace lol
Afr0Thund3r lol ikr, get the hell out the way!
thats why people hate 'new yorkers' they our streets man...
Oh, girls!! This is sooo great!!! Notice the size of Jon's gloves?
Must be cooold in NYC
is new york always cold?
My brothers living the graceful life
I don't like this video because they're obviously cold and I don't want to think about the winter anymore.
Damn I love New Yorkers. Just walk around obviously famous people like... Jesus get the fuck out of the way I'm going to work.
More John Batiste.More invisible prop girl. More shady lawyers.
How in the hell does JB play tambourine while wearing those Mickey Mouse style gloves?
sammygirl6910 hes just that good
O-Tay but which one is Buckwheat ?
I wish I could find John Batiste at a very calm and peaceful moment... and just blast his own music into his ears at full volume.
It’s become a habit of mine to mute all of these videos 15 seconds early so that my eardrums don’t get blown out.
"be yourself" ... but imitate others talking styles to sound like a stereotype...you know what I'm saying' ?
I don't understand the point of video
Two musicians talking about music.
You don't know whut they sayin'?
Trumptard much?
Everyone, please add usernames so people know whom you're talking to.
Linda Mc everyone is responding to you.
Ok, was nice till 1:20. Shit church. Didn't watch the rest.
They only talk about church for like 30 seconds
ilaphroaig I am not religious at all but if it wasn't for the church as a gathering place and as a community, you would not have a lot of these famous and talented musicians where they are. A lot of music as we know it, particularly African American music, which really is THE American music, would not exist. Instead of being ignorant, try to see what it provided people like Curtis. It gave them a platform, knowledge, and confidence to go out and become musicians. If you don't understand the relationship between the church and music, you are blinding yourself. It's not the religion. It's the community.
It's perfect time for African Americans to go back to their Africa and develop the people there who need the real help, facing real problems.
Real homeless people who actually die in Africa.
what a great idea!
uhhh....African Americans are American, you know that right?
Alternatively, European Americans could go back to their Europe, and help real homeless people who actually die in Europe.
If you want to help African Americans then start investing in communities. Let young black kids have the same education and opportunities that the white kids have. That is the best way we can end the racial inequality in America.
guys. hes just trolling you.
That was dumb
