I mean, Savage lived for millennia.
He's probably seen more death (including of his own children) than everyone watching this video combined.
He has probably grown completely apathetic to death and dying in general at this point.
That's the main point that the narrator neglected to share. Vandal Savage has EXPERIENCED A LOT. No matter what was stated, it was a mercy. The guy hugged his daughter for a minute after killing her. He feels, but at the same time, it is what it is.
Plus history supports his behavior, since people in the past were heavily desensitized to death due to the sheer amount they witnessed, to the point it became entertainment
It’s not insane. Vandal savage is an evolved cave man. He’s lived thousands of lifetimes. The fact he’s done it a lot is exactly why he can switch his emotions off.
Sanity is a societal thing. I would say (as the video does) that this is reasoned and worked out to a system. That's the thing. His long life has made Vandal a total sociopath, he's had to be that way and it's not like he doesn't predate most all social mores to start with. High-functioning, but still...

Given that Vandal Savage was Genghis Khan as stated in Season 3, he actually has millions of descendants just from that particular identity. Approximately sixteen-million and counting. My maternal heritage is a mixture of Mongolian and German, so there's a decent chance that he's one of my ancestors. And that doesn't even take into account the descendants that he has from all of his other lifetimes and identities over the last few dozen millennia.
Was Genghis Khan the only male in the horde he commanded allowed to bang women?

@@concernedhomosapien9807, we don't add when we reproduce; we multiply. Also, sixteen million is only a lot when you consider that he only lived roughly 1,000 years ago.
Additionally he wiped out 40 million people. His descendants only account for 40% compared to the number of people that were wiped out by his forces.
I truly think kid flashes/Wally's death was so sad like he was one of the best characters

The Light is like an anti-Joker. Joker wants to torture people into psychologically breaking. The Light doesn't want our protagonists to break because they know they would be the first to suffer and, unlike Joker, they have ambitions that go beyond proving a point about morality.
I always thought of Vandal Savage killing his daughter as somewhat of a mercy. And Vandal Savage own twisted way he sees it as a way of protecting himself but also to make sure his daughter doesn't die that painful of a death. Cuz most people who have dementia they die in a very painful way of losing all their memories until they can't even remember how to breathe. And that would just be painful so I think in Vandal Savage on mind he thinks it as a good thing. And I do as well. It's one of the reasons why it's personally one of my favorite kills. Or deaths in the series.
Exactly, what Vandal did was quick and painless. Needle's suggestion of putting her in a home is just a slow, painful and agonizing death.
Agreed, two of my grandparents had dementia and it was a horrible slow painful death. Vandal killing his daughter was quick and a mercy compared to what she would have gone through if he hadn’t done it

There is a problem with that though. Where he did it? On a spaceship full of alien technology. It's the same thing as with Barbs being stuck in a wheelchair while people run around in exosuits, have regenerative abilities, use cybernetics and so on. Was it brutal mercy in his past lives? Yes. Was it mercy in the situation they were in? Nope.
Plus it's quite obvious he doesn't care with how he just walks away right after.
I always felt that Vandal Savage's killing of his daughters as something akin to ripping off a bandaid. Like I'm certain the man *does* love each of his daughters, visible in keeping them so close and teaching them his secrets, as well as the whole proper burial and stuff. But the man just, over the centuries and centuries of being alive, has probably found the easiest way for him to handle it, was to just *do it.*
It kind of gives the immortal warmonger an interesting human side in my mind

Geoforce didn’t kill his uncle so that he would become king, he did it to get revenge on his uncle, nothing more.
I know that a lot of people hate season 3, but I still enjoyed it.

Vandal is just used to it as he had tons of children. Overtime it just became numbed to him
Ok Geoforce (? I Think that's his name) Emotions being boosted can make you go insane, trust me I have nearly done something similar when someone in my family was being an A-hole to my little brother and well I almost had one less family member I was that mad about it, the fact that even though he's a fake character he could hold back from ending his uncle for so long and still wouldn't have done it without his emotions being boosted I have to say I would've done it a lot sooner
I feel like quiet alot of people probably could've restrained themselves for that long.
If Ocean Master did manage to succeed, the show would’ve gone from “Young Justice” to “Injustice.”
Also, Geoforce had just saved his younger sister, Terra, from enslavement by that same uncle. I think that would send a surprising number of people into a blind rage, even without psyonic prodding.
At that point he was blinded by rage that Terra was a double agent and others in the team knew while he didn’t

I think Geo-force was completely justified in his killing of his Uncle. Given everything hes done to Brion & his family Plus the Uncle clearly said that as long as hes breathing, he won't stop doing what he does. So the way I see it Brion didn't have a choice, he had to kill him.
I agree. Especially as the monarch, he has that right. That just isn’t compatible with being on a DC hero team but it’s not wrong.

Killing villains is usually logically justified. It’s the moral part that causes problems within the universe and when talking about it in general
I agree with Brion's killing of his uncle. Guy committed regicide and high treason. There's really no other way to handle him.
I expect kid flash along with red hood to make a return in season 4 seeing that it is called young justice phantoms
I’d love for them to finally bring Wally back and would be happy to see Red Hood in action on this show, I wonder how they’ll bring him in and if it’s a time skip if he’ll be part of the team again I doubt they’d do a version of the under the red hood storyline again
@ray parker they probably won’t do and under the red hood storyline but we did see Jason and Damian in the 3rd season of young justice I think season 4 might be similar to the 3rd season of titans

it'll be very hard to make jason work in this show with how it's going
he'll either be cast aside as "hey look guys, a new character! he'll be in 3 new episodes and disappear until the finale! have fun with this new character!" or he'll be a new character alongside a new team that will be the focus for the entire season and drown out the stuff the fans are actually interested in such as the villains or the og team. and (as i hope everyone should know), these 2 scenarios won't work. they'll be serviceable and be the easiest thing to accomplish, but they won't be fun or do justice to how new characters should be. besides, i think jason should actually be a villain in phantoms before the finale where he disappears to become a good guy in season 5
Nailed it on Geoforce. And we don't know the full extent of the psychics powers. Perhaps he can take something as simple as and honest as justice, twist and enhance it to the point where the person could see murder being natural and not wrong. Perhaps Geoforce didn't actually want to kill his Uncle, but what did linger within him was twisted.
Remember this uncle had his parents murdered, himself and his little sister experimented on, and his sister enslaved to the light. I can see a valid reason for a lot of hatred, anger, and yeah wanting that guy dead. But the debate is, without the psychic would he have gone that far?
I really hope this show goes on for many more years. It would be great to see Jonathan Kent and Damian Wayne join the team in like 5 more seasons
Tbf, since Damian was shown as aj infant already, depending on the time skips, he could probably join in 2 or 3 seasons
Well at least two or more seasons but we probably have 6 / 8 seasons if the show didn’t get cancelled at first

I think the first season was absolutely AMAZING! But the second one was just pretty good and then the third one is a train wreck

4:29 the problem is you're trying to apply normal logic to a man who has lived for over 30,000 years. Simple fact is neither you nor I or anyone is qualified to talk about the way someone like that should act because we have no idea. Savage has lived longer than most civilizations and has had to watch as his family and many other things he's lived with gradually age and decay and it's very likely during the first few centuries it did hurt him immensely and likely drove him a little crazy. However, after 30,000 years he's long grown numb to it as he knows there's nothing he can do about it and the best to do is press onwards.
He sees mankind as an entity, and don't see humans as individuals

I agree, this villians are doing human trafficking killing kids and slaving them, and doing other murders, but this "we don't Kill" is getting out of hand some of them do deserve death.

I might have included Otto since, unlike his sister he'd had time to become fully aware of what had happened to both him and his sister, while what happened to his sister was tragic Otto likely knew what happened to him happened to her and before he could get help from the heroes he was killed.

I think that the first death you mentioned was the best, because not only was it right at the start of the season, so it set the tone for the season, scarred one of the heroes, and it was also a tragic death, and the backstory was able to be so sad with so little build up

I say that Baron guy got what he deserved he was a monster he killed his brother and sister-in-law to get the crown and was aiding in all that metahuman trafficking who knows how many innocent children were exploited and killed because of him that guy had power money and a lot of political help I doubt he ever would have seen the inside of a jail cell

Ok I bursted into laughter on the first entry, I’m not too sure why but something about his voice and just seeing the big silver text cracked me up. No but seriously tho yeah it’s messed up. Not the part where BL accidentally kills the mutated girl, but everything that she went through beforehand.
You know, as much as I dislike season 3 I will give it props for writing these deaths so well, and some of their characters had their moments
It's also worth noting that in the comics William Hayes only became a villain because he just wanted to be a villain and so he becomes Harm but also when he kills Greta before she became Secret he showed no mercy in killing her because it turned out that she wasn't his real sister and that is how he became pure of heart to wield the sword of Beowulf what least that's the comics explanation and essentially he plans on murdering the Justice League so he plans on killing the Young Justice Team first so He can use it as practice before he goes up against the big leagues the Justice League

Greg Weisman has said that "Young Justice" doesn't use the Speed Force concept.
