This is the newest addition to Asus’ ROG line of gaming monitors, the XG27ACS, a more budget-friendly 27” 1440p 180Hz Fast IPS gaming monitor with a claimed 1 millisecond response time and even “GamingAI”. Yeah, the ‘AI’ has leaked into monitors now too… Asus is undercutting everyone - including themselves - with this one coming in at an MSRP of £329, and considering the feature set, it looks like an awfully promising option - but, like, is it? Well, let’s test it and find out!

Just picked one up on Amazon on sale for 229 USD
I’m looking at that same deal right now! Currently watching videos to see if it’s “the one”. 😂How do you like it so far?
Wats better that asus rog qhd or uhd for 740$
I’ve been looking at Dell monitors for the past few hours. I’m thinking about one of their Ultra Sharp models. Their online store is strait forward and allows to choose a monitor with exactly the specs you want. It’s worth checking out.
how is it??
@@Itsthatguy24 samee 😂
thanks bro, this awesome gaming monıtor
Can you Review the XG259QN? It is a more feature rich, and supposedly "Refreshed" model of the PG259QN. It, too, has 20 levels of Overdrive which starkly contrasts the 3 modes the original model had.
will you be doing a MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2 review?
Hello, do you have good settings for this screen?
You say this can't be used as a USB hub... and while that seems true that's something I was relying on... could i have the computer hooked up VIA display port and then a usb hub hooked up via the USB-C and still achieve this? Per their website "USB Type-C hub supports video transmission in DisplayPort signal; can serve as a USB hub, meaning that you can connect your device to your wired peripherals with clutter-free set-up"
While using this monitor, I am seeing random horizontal white lines appearing out of no where, do you have a fix?
Im on the journey to finding the best 1440p 120hz+ monitor to use for my ps5. Do you got any information how well it runs 120 on ps5 etc?
What about IPS glow, backlight bleeding?...Dark room test is not shown in the vid..
THIS
It's ALWAYS a lottery and ALWAYS has been with IPS panels.
I been trying to rotate it to portrait mode but i can't for some reason.
Wait, so the contrast results show the colour temp of the monitor to be way off at 7500k...yet you get almost perfect colour? Er what?
Can you put it on a pc arm?
Very good review!!! would you choose this over the ACER Nitro vg271um3bmiipx?
Acer nitro is terrible
I'm in the market for a 1440p 27'', 144-180hz, IPS . this is a refreshing option from asus. I just hope other brands would try to offer an even more budget options. and dont charge more for the "gamer" aesthetic. there are some options in the 180-220$ price range.
All of them are likely VA panels in that price range though, this is one of the lowest priced, IPS >144 Hz panels.
This monitor is on sale at Amazon for 229 USD but only until April 30 I believe
Budget friendly? Idk looks pretty nice to me. I spent like 600 on a Strix monitor 5 years ago and this has more features.
so no tests at 120 or 60 HZ....i wonder why...comon on man i was counting on you to help me find the best 1440p monitor for my PS5...
On ASUS website it states '180Hz (above 144Hz)'. When I do a search on "(above 144Hz)" I see results such as 'Overclockable 180Hz (above 144Hz)'.
Does this mean this monitor has a native refresh rate of 144Hz but ASUS factory overclocked it to 180Hz? On the monitor label itself it just says '180Hz Rapid Refresh Rate'
It’s native 180, it’s not a overclocked 165Hz display. My other LG Monitor is 165Hz display with the option to overclock to 180.
Also since this is a 1440p display it only has HDMI 2.0, so you’ll only get 144Hz over HDMI, for 165 or higher you need to use Display Port or a display with HDMI 2.1.
Just a heads up. A lotta ppl are upgrading to gear with HDMI 2.1 but don’t realize that 1440p monitors only come with HDMI 2.0 ports.
Asus Xg27acs vs LG 27gp850,which one better?
im about to swap my lg 27gp850 with this one, last year i bought the lg and im getting massive eye strain with this model, looking in the internet i found out that many people has this problem with the lg, some people say that it has to do with the nano ips tech this model implements. i dont know but i hope i dont get this problem with the asus
LG
The entire video I'm just freaking out that he might knock the monitor off the edge of the table o_0
Please review MSI MAG-274QRF-QD-E2, Thanks!
Ese monitor o este asus es mejor?
The asus is actually better
the monitor seems wobbly? or is it me
I'm surprised to see that this monitor doesn't have 10bit (8bit + FRC.) Most monitors it competes, even ones below its price class, that have HDR-capability tends to have it. It's the only glaring feature for me that kinda holds me back from buying it.
in your experience, whats the improve with 10bit?
@@Terran343 in most common real-world use cases and SDR content consumption, it probably won't impact you in any meaningful way. However, if you are sensitive to colors or do any sort of color work, 10bit makes it so that there's less/no color banding in certain images since it's able to display a lot more hues than 8bit. You can think of it as "color resolution" in a way, so basically, 8bit = 16.7M colors vs 10bit = 1.07B colors. HDR content will also tend to look better on 10bit because of the smoother transition of colors. But again, if you just use your monitor for usual stuff like SDR gaming and streaming video content, you probably wouldn't notice.
HDR 10
asus rog xg27wcs fast va review pls sir
How is it compare to the TUF version VG27AQL3A?
I want to know as well
if your is fps game hardplayer . choose VG27AQL3A
Смотрю обзор .цвета слабые у vg27aql3a более насыщенные или мне катится так
I am in the same doubt, being an ASUS ROG it should be superior to the ASUS TUF, but I need some detailed comparison of these 2 monitors
is this another fake hdr like the MSI G274QPF-QD (judging by the lack of a local dimming backlighting)? doesn't seem to have kvm (like the msi or gigabyte which do). MSI has quantum dot. And price wise the asus seems to cost more when i last checked.
How does the Asus stack up against MSI G274QPF-QD, Gigabyte M27Q-P, Dell G2724D, AOC Q27G3XMN ? in terms of overshoot, hdr performance, latency 🤔 and which out of these would you recommend for FPS gaming and HDR content on desktop windows 11 pc.
Any LED monitor come with fake HDR. The true HDR only can be reach with OLED / MiniLED. Correct me if im wrong.
@@Kpucin0 You can get true HDR with MicroLED too
If you don't care about HDR , the Asus monitor is better
@@mawandaeed for ips monitors, there rarely is any with the proper local dimming at this price bracket anyway. only the oled gaming monitors are likely to be good for HDR. other aspects of the monitor to consider whether overall it's a good monitor though.
Anyway i went with the MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2. Can't use HDR with it but i'm satisfied with the result. I'll go hdr for my next monitor next time i get a monitor.
The original cable from box supports 180hz in 1440?
Does it have the same panel as AOC Q27G4X?
It's actually 270 pounds
Budget friendly and they remove speaker 😂
im getting massive eye strain from this monitor, dont know if its just the upgraded resolution (coming from 1080p) or the size since i was so used to 24´ i dont know but it seem i cant get used to it, i love how it looks, the colors, everything, but the pain...
try lowering red color in monitor osd
Even u turn on blue light filter?
@@manssupar yep, im resting from the screen right now, last time i seted up a new config with warm colors, it looked niced but my eyes were already tired, my plan is to try this new setting with fresh eyes and see how it goes, i really dont want to give up on the monitor cause it looks so great. If that doestn work im going to try some gunnar glasses, these are not cheap glasses so im afraid of throwing my money in the trash if the glasses doesnt work.
