I was there about 4 years ago and so far that is my 2nd favorite resort with the Barcelo Maya Palace being number 1 as of now in fact thinking of going back to the Barcelo this July !
Why did you like Barcelona better?
the rooms were nicer in my opinion and the resort layout is much nicer as far as the distance from the lobby to the beach and how that is laid out. the beach is BEAUTIFUL at both but I think the beach at the Barcelo with all the palms are just beautiful but I will say its rough walking in the sand at the Barcelo because its quite rocky unlike the Iberostar! both great resorts though for sure !! we stayed at the Moon Palace last year and we would NEVER go back there it was a big let down and doesn't even compare to these two resorts !@@TripswithAngie

I was there in July of 2023. Loved the resort and all the food options! So much to explore with all the sister resorts too. Loved the mall area where the spa was located. The tacos over there were so delicious 😊

Hi Angie, I see you've also been to the Hyatt Ziva in Riveria Maya. If you HAD to choose between Iberostar Paraiso Mayo and Hyatt Ziva Riveria... which would you go back to?
Neither. I prefer adults only resorts for my personal travel.
