I'm a Geelong supporter and I think a fine would have been a sufficient penalty. How many past and present players and officials have made comments that might be considered "homophobic"? How many people make those comments in everyday life? The AFL is getting a little bit too precious, I think.

The treatment of Goodes has more ruined the reputation of the Australian public. The Swans should have walked off the ground at the peak of the racism in Perth: that would have made a big difference. The mother of the daughter is the bloody problem. Should be banned for games for life for her comments at his retirement.

Australia is becoming the “offended” culture just like the rest of the world but the alphabet community won’t be laughing once it becomes a predominantly Muslim country. And white/western culture is replaced. Which is the Ju Kalergi plan and happening in all western countries- Sweden, Ireland being two prime examples. Even Indians advertise for things in Australia saying “Punjabi Indians only” and I’ve ever heard a sound about that - but if it was a white person “racist”.
The Essendon players were never offended by Finlayson, it was an umpire that heard and reported it. Would recommend doing some research first next time.
