  • Today we are getting away from the bench and going to the floor to remove a broken transfer case.
This transfer case is out of an 05 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins engine.
The vehicle had 212000 miles at the time of failure. We removed the transfer case replaced the front driveshaft with a new driveshaft. Breaking the case in the manner in which this one did is very common with the 271d. During overhaul we installed a new front case half as well as all new bearings washers shifter forks chain and sprockets and bushings.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to watch our videos. I really appreciate the views and support in building our channel.

Please. What are the Dimensions of your Shop that you can hold 4 Lifts. I’m building a new shop in the spring and got to put in the order for the kit soon. Badass to have 4 lift crammed in there. 🤠

I’ve got a possibly dumb question for ya, but I’m going to ask anyways. If I’m heating those bolts up with a torch and I’ve had an oil leak blow oil all over the under side of my truck, do I need to have an extinguisher on hand in case of some extra unexpected bolt heating?
