Stretching has been a lifesaver for me since I started wearing my hair natural. I used to have an undercut, so I only stretch the back to give it the illusion of being the same length as the rest of my hair.
Omg this is so genious. The back of my hair is shorter (it just grows slower) and the curl is tighter which makes it look weird but you just gave me such a good idea. Thank you

Natural hair has so much versatility.. After all these years growing up doing perms and straightening irons, trying to keep it relaxed all the time, all we needed to do is embrace our natural hair, some tinder loving care, in addition to products that work for our hair texture and it does whatever we want it to do. Our hair type is the only type that can do this and that is special! It fluctuates in it's natural state. We black women are certainly a special people. Stay blessed and beautiful! So I have been trying to find a way to stretch my hair because it always seems like it is so much longer then it actually is and when I tell you I tried the method you talked about in this video last night without the heat, my hair was soooooooooooooooo much more stretched out as I let it stay in over night! Now I just have to keep it moisturized and do this every so often when I notice it is starting to shrink up again. Thanks so much #lovethis #itreallydoeswork
Would it work without heat? I’m worried about heat damage. She used high heat I think. Did you use low heat or no heat at all?
@@eiwagarciabrito495 I don’t think I used any heat but it’s been so long ago that I don’t remember. If I did I only used a little since I have really thick hair. The other time I tried it I just used the banding method and left it over night and when I tell you the stretch is real lol it was right after I washed and conditioned my hair too by the way

I haven't done the blow dry part but I love banding. I actually make styles for my girls with colorful hair ties while banding. The love the look and the length🥰
