Watch artisans in Mexico expertly fashion a multi-colored glass pitcher by hand. Glass blowing is truly mesmerizing to watch - the hot glass is like treacle - one false move and you have to start over.
Imagine some guy like a thousand years ago thinking, "I'm gonna fucking blow into this molten glass."

I would like to find a course where one could learn to do some really simple glass work - I can't imagine how long it must take to learn stuff like this.
+Heather Spoonheim they offer it as an art course in many colleges
+Tex81024 Thanks - I've been looking around a bit, and at the option of working with small glass rods to make little decorations or knobs for cupboards and stuff like that. At least with such small projects it seems a lot more accessible, :D

You mean traditional methods? Go to turkey, morocco, egypt, the northern parts of africa and middle east...also persia...Muslims started this once and you can still find remanants of such methods there.Today machines are used.
depending on were you live they still have it as an art forms at some colleges and tech schools or you could go to a few places that still do this and actually take lessons or make something

@@user-np4dp8gp2n 100k is an incredible exaggeration. I have known someone who got into this with a few hundred euros only and was able to make a variety of things, a friend of mine's mother who started making money with it and built her own workshop in her garage spent close to €5000 on it over the course of several years and had a very well equipped workplace where she made beautifull things.
The nice thing about a craft like this is that you can make something for yourself without going to a school, self study or a tutor will do just fine and the quality of your products will do the talking.
