Spring is in the air, therefore, I am thinking of ALL things green! 🍏🥗🏡
Whether it is a cold on the horizon from the whiplash the weather is giving us this time of year, new sprouts in my herb garden or JUST the returning of the sun, I always like sifting through these green witchy books (some not so witchy) to see what I can see! ☘🌱
I like to investigate natural remedies and magical plant properties, map out where new plants will go, and/or get lost in a short story set in Ireland, full of rolling green fields and folklore!!!! 🧚♀️🐉🌄

This was wonderful Lennan. I loved your selection of books. I've been planning a video on green witchcraft books too because its such a big aspect of my practice. I totally agree - books on plants and herbs and trees and flowers and field guides are so vital in the practice for me too because getting to know the land and the native plants and earth spirits is so powerful and learning about the land is totally magical even if the book isn't a 'witch book' as such. Well, thanks James. I didn't subscribe to green witchery for a long time. Then I started my garden and, suddenly, I wanted to be a plant/herb expert. 😝

The green/hearth/kitchen way is totally my jam!
I long for the day I have a garden to grow my own food and herbs (I have no outside space and very little windowsill space (which I keep a few plants on at least). For now I forage locally and buy in from local herbalists.
There were some books here I already own, some I've never heard of and one that I used to have but got rid of (that Arin Murphy-Hiscock Green Witch book is a modern repackaging of her older work I believe).
Have you read The Witching Herbs by Harold Roth? I think you may like it.
I hope you get your magical garden someday. I can see you in pin-up clothes with a hose in hand [that's not sexual at all😋😅]

The Green Witch book was actually my first ever purely witchy book that I got cause I found it in Finnish. I think it was a lovely book for a novice like me. I have the same Cunningham book (also the Harners which I was suprised actually that you included here. I always read it purely the shamanistic lenses on) but I did that before I was drawn to this path.
I have tons of awsome books now but the only one ”green” of them that wasn’t on your list is Witch’s Garden by Sandra Lawrence. It’s not actually practical cause it mostly focuses plants in folklore. But the art is really nice in that one.
I’m so so exited that my little garden is starting to grow. 3 mandreke babies are already aweke. I’m mixing several things in my garden; nightshades, herbs you can eat and then ones I ise like in incences etc.
Oh, yeah. You spoke of the Green Witch. It is a very well put together book. I like it. I included the Harners book purely for nostalgia. It does not go into green witchcraft but for some reason I always link green witchey with shamanism. 🤗 Witches Garden sounds nice. ☘
