I think all top players should retire at MLS...they get a huge payday and still remain the best players in the league, and raise the profile of the sport in the country. Would love to see Ibra there.
***** I hear you, but I have seen his comments on other videos and I believe this was a well-intentioned one.The thought of seeing your legends still play is something that interest most people, I followed the Brazilian league for a while so that I could watch Adriano, Ronlado and Ronaldinho, to see all your legends playing in the same league/team is like a dream for many people.
If these people commenting hate the MLS so much then why are they here? MLS is not a bad league and not easy either. Most trolls here are comparing it to the best leagues in the world just to put it down. MLS isn't the best league but it sure isn't what these idiots make it out to be. I bet most of them haven't even watched a game.
dwrussell96 Nah, they hate it because it's genuinly terrible. The quality of football within a domestic league often reflects upon the quality of the national football team, and the US national team sucks. The only exception to this rule is EPL and England, but of the last 5 UCL finals an English team has only won it once, and that was Chelsea's incredibly lucky and cynical win. Not to mention MLS getting pissed at anually in friendlies with European clubs
Julian Nikolay Krogh-Fredriksen LOL making it out of the group of death is bad? Losing to Germany by one is bad? Go learn your football you ignorant fool.
You'll struggle to ever find a better free-kick taker than Beckham. He could consistently find the accuracy, curve and dip on the ball and when it mattered too. I would say Juninho in second place because of the variety of shots and ranges that he could score free-kicks from. He had an unbelievable success rate.
When looks across at the goal before free kick , still brings back the memory of the last united goal he scored against everton in which rooney was in the wall !! What a legend this guy is ! Still does it magically ! Please dont ever retire you legend ! DB2307 forever !
Hermann. Fegelein. nope, we treated him like shit, but he makes all the MLS players look like utter shit to be honest. It's like taking a tank to a paintball game
Right. Landon Donovan is utter shit and Tim Howard is utter shit. Totally right. Oh, and Dempsey is absolutely horrible. Hell let's forget about Beckham and talk about how the English national team went WAY further than the American team during the World Cup. Sound logic. I would really take Donovan over Beckham any day of the week.
David Beckham changed the MLS, ever since he arrived it changed the league dramatically, I know it's not best league in the world but it's still entertaining to watch in my point of view.
David Beckham!!!! My first ever Athlete - celebrity role model!!! Proud of him!!!! Was my Idol as a small kid!! Still have tons of respect for him till today and I'm 24!!!!
+Bryan Higgins I believe I read somewhere that the MLS now has higher attendance turnouts than the NHL and the NBA and is slowly catching MLB though the MLB and NFL have a massive lead on them
+Noa I read somewhere that ESPN said that in the start of the 2017 Season they will be donated something like 50 million dollars. Hopefully its true. Would love to see MLS get bigger
Just watching a few games of MLS and that is how they call the gamelol. In Europe that is 100% a foul but in America it isnt. I kinda like it cuz Europe is out of hand with their bullshit dives and stuff.
MLS is a sleeping giant, 15 years and a billion dollars away from being world class. It has all the potential. Currently, its a good league, maybe a few paces behind the top leagues of Europe. Still, it remains one of the best, most competitive leagues in the world. Europe is not a standard to judged by. Being 10th in the world is still world class when there are another 200 countries on that list. American, and Europeans need to give MLS and the US national team more respect, they are as good as any mid level European country and league.
What is it with the English and the name thing? Is that really the deal-breaker here... calling it Major League SOCCER. We get it y'all don't like it and think its childish or something but it resonates here. We have a football, and guess what, it is mostly played with hands just so we can spite y'all
It's the accuracy and passing intuition that makes beck's great. He stopped scoring when he left Man-U, It's his worth as a playmaker that's made him what he is today.
Hey, Massive Man united fan here, can you guys tell me how football is doing in America? Since the world cup, I've heard it's turning into a major sport in America, What do you Americans think of it?
The guy saying it could be 3rd has no idea what he is saying... The only one it has any chance of passing is hockey, and I love all 4 major sports in this country. As much as I want it to be popular, the MLS will never be as popular as the other four until we start getting superstars that are crazy enough to play here rather than Europe.
VigEuth If it's going on target but deflects off a defender and in it's the shooters goal. If it's going off and deflects in it's an Own Goal. So those ones are all good.
The Manchester United No. 7 jersey, a lot of history, elegance, quality, a legendary and timeless race number: George Best 474 games 181 goals 6 titles Bryan Robson 461 games 99 goals 8 titles Eric Cantona 185 games 82 goals 9 titles David Beckham 394 games 85 goals 12 titles Cristiano Ronaldo 292 games 118 goals 10 titles
Patrick McDonald It's not a joke, it's just a young league. But it is growing rapidly. MLS is getting some amazing signings lately. Plus, MLS is so much more exciting than the top leagues. Same teams ALWAYS win in the top 4 leagues, but anyone could win it in the MLS.
Never was the biggest Beckham fan but the passion he played with in MLS games is a testament to his great character, makes other ex-greats who came to America like Thierry Henry look even lazier and self righteous then they are
beckham brilliant strategy. after proving himself in europe he was so popular he thought to himself if he moves to the us he can become more than s football player, he became a celebrity just like any actor or singer. he made his name even bigger by moving to the us. i think of that as brilliant
Beckham has done so much for the sport of soccer in the US. More top players (or former top players) are plying their trade in MLS. It's good to see, and must be good for the sport on a global basis. Hope to see him in A-League for a bit, it could use some help and exposure.
The MLS has come a very long way. MLS specific stadiums, Revenue, Expansion Franchises, New supporters and will hopefully become a solid First League. Thank You Beckham, all the best!
wow! just look at the evolution you see of mls from the 4 years he was there! in his 2nd and 3rd goal they are playing on college football field and it really does look shitty then at the end of this they are playing in beautiful soccer specific stadiums. can't wait to see how much it grows 4 years from now
really cool to see Beckham still enjoying the game, and i think its great having the Americans playing football i thought they had a really good side last world cup
#12 for me. A great effort. Beckham's been a great ambassador for soccer, and it would be fantastic if he could spare a season or two in A-League downunder to help our game out. I doubt it would happen though.
love beckham or hate him, i think we can all agree this music is absolute shite....
True :)))
y
lol yep
the green man the music is so bad that silence is better
Ya
I think all top players should retire at MLS...they get a huge payday and still remain the best players in the league, and raise the profile of the sport in the country. Would love to see Ibra there.
Zenzi Sage wish granted! :D
Rauhit Rangari right and he was outstanding!!
Your wish came true
Zenzi Sage You win !
Zenzi Sage China could say the same with even more 💰
He's the reason why probably many of us started watching football.
I miss him so much. So glad I got to see this legend play live so many times. Good luck with Miami Becks!
If all the best players went to the MLS to retire it could be like a new legend league
Well. At least it's helping football grow in the USA and Canada. But in beckham's case, he retired with PSG.
*****
I think he meant what he said in a good faith.
Awab elmahe hard to tell. People always bash on the league.

I hear you, but I have seen his comments on other videos and I believe this was a well-intentioned comment.

which teams
@@The0utlaw La Galaxy and Milan
Football in America is so different to everywhere else and it's great to see you guys are starting to take it seriously.

That man was, and still is, the best free kick taker of all time.
Andrea Pirlo and Rogério Ceni too xD
Certainly not.
Lucas Skies juninho, ronaldo, ronaldinho etc

es cierto el mejor. todo un francotirador
1:49 clearly a foul by Donovan
Alejandro Garcia it means you have never play before...
Do you even know how to play football/soccer?
@@averagefattyboi8297 that's a clear foul
@@detomasopantera1966 I mean, pushing from the back with two hands, it's clearly a foul bro!
There will never be another best Free Kicker like David Beckham. Just pure legend.
There is another
I love the way he takes free kicks and shoots the way his hand moves the classic beckham
i love how he shoots a Freekick :)
he is stll one of the best players !
Hard to choose because they are all perfection. But I love the 35 footer against Portland. And then the free kick against SKC
I was lucky enough to see all of his career. Since I were a child I watched him
When looks across at the goal before free kick , still brings back the memory of the last united goal he scored against everton in which rooney was in the wall !! What a legend this guy is ! Still does it magically ! Please dont ever retire you legend ! DB2307 forever !
number 10 goal, man, the laws of physics are his to break heh.. he was even impressed by that one, watch his reaction lol
One of the best free kicks shooter at his time!
At his time? Of all time you mean!
That one just doesn't look fair to anyone involved.
***** I mean it was a nasty shot, the ball curved so much that it just wasn't fair to the wall and the goalkeeper.
Americans are blessed. They should bow down and kiss his feet after every game.
He doesn't play anymore
Like the English did after his performance in 1998? Oh wait...
Hermann. Fegelein. true that was so horrible but he said it what made him a stronger person but they shouldnt have done it they went to far
Hermann. Fegelein. nope, we treated him like shit, but he makes all the MLS players look like utter shit to be honest. It's like taking a tank to a paintball game

Goal #4- 70 Yard Strike: the raw power of the shot and the incredible accuracy at that distance showcases Beckham's immense talent.
