Thanks man. In have always had problem with the overhead smashes. I came here again after a week just to tell u how much this has helped
Forget trick shots.
You need the basics first and smash is one of them.
Good video.
YES you are right, thanks 💪🏻
Correct 👌👌👌
You r right
Yeaah
We all need it harder 🙂
Great explanation! Love it so much! Everyone need to watch this, thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thanks Gayus😉 Regards from Laybourn🕺🏻🤘🏻🤩
This was a great refresher for me! I still struggle with smash accuracy and power. My biggest problem is the finger power. So many people in the past told me to just hit it as fast as I can to get the most power. You guys show me that it's not the case. Technique is king :)
You need to fully grasp the concept of acceleration in order to control power. One good way to improve finger strength is to grab a bottled liquid as it’s falling down. Your goal is to catch the bottle using your finger grip. Do it a couple of times a day and you’ll see significant improvements. Best of luck!
indeed, i have a friend that can launch a powerful lob. he swings it full power and misses every time in a whole set :spiderman's boss laugh:
When I first started, people told me to flick my wrist when smashing, u get power from the wrist. But then I learnt forearm rotation from u and everything made sense.
Nice
Thanks so much guys, for a beginning badminton player these tips are incredibly helpful. Keep up the good work

Hi Sir, A big fan of your content and much respect.
During ready position the wrist should be neutral or rotated outwards and while supinating in the backswing the wrist is flexed, extended, radially deviated or ulnar deviated?

HI Are u using a 3u or 4u astroxx 88d ?
Thank you :)
4U👍🏻
U r inspiring to us. Greetings from India.
Thanks👌🏻
damn Arnold Schwarzenegger good at this
Lol the accent is on point
Thanks for the details on the grip. 😂
But I know the term hammer grip for a tightened up forehand grip (I mean that's how you hold the hammer), allowing strong pronation. You use the term for what I know as rush grip or panhandle grip (probably due to the resulting hitting action that's kinda like using a hammer). Since it's a video, it's clear, I'm just wondering where this different terminology comes from.
Yes the panhandle is also a word for that, I just think it is different what people use. Some of these "weird" words in badminton are made up words as the game has developed through the years... Its only in recent years I have been teaching in English so are still learning 😃 Thomas
Nice
Details is a devil ... thanks for sharing sir
Yes they are very important💪🏻🤪
This video is very good for our amateur player , it is single leg smash and in most of cases we are not able to do double-leg jump smash.
Good to hear 💯
Wow
Nice lesson for me Sir
