This is usable, practical information. So many of these "How to" videos turn out to be showing off one successful game that the player is very proud of. You told us the exact principles that we must follow. I suggest that you didn't delay the development of the light square bishop because being a long range piece it is already developed when you play e3. I see that I don't centralize and coordinate my pieces properly. I think that I am very clever when I put a knight on an outpost, but the knight is not supported and I have not planned a continuation. It might be better to move the knight north only when the other pieces are ready to make a coordinated attack. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment! Glad to hear it was usable. And about the knight, yeah it might be useful to first make sure your pieces are on good squares and all of them are in the game - like rooks for example, and only then thinking about the attack. Maybe this video is also interesting for you as it covers the 7 middlegame principles while in the video you saw I explained some of them during the game: czcams.com/video/1-wW5qme-hU/video.html Good luck with your progress! If you want feedback on one of your own games, we can play a game and I'll publish it on YT under my 'Road to 2000' series I'm doing now :).

Yes, the middle game is what matters, once you get pass the opening.

Exactly! And then we didn't even discuss the endgame, which matters once you pass the middlegame ;)

Welcome aboard and very happy to hear that these tips help. Good luck with your growth! On a daily basis I'm publishing a series to reach a rating of 2000 where I give a lot of tips constantly which might be helpful as well. You can find it in my playlists under 'Road to 2000'. By the way, if you'd like to be in it we can play a game as well if you add me (chessXplainer) as friend at chess.com. Good luck!
