Yes. I think thats when he broke/injured his hand/wrist. He had one millisecond to react and took all his bodyweight impact on his right wrist when he got slammed. And he still kept the grip on Usman and remained in control.

How wasn't it a convincing win? He pretty much dominated Usman from the 1st round. The 2nd round was pretty stail, Usman landed some shots, but Ultimately it was pretty even. And the 3rd round, Khamzat won pretty convincingly, got a takedown 1 min into the round and kept Usman on the ground until about 20 seconds left. So Usman only really did anything in the 2nd round
To be honest I tought the same thing, I kept thinking why he doesn't punch why doesn't he hit, but now it's clear why.

He went full gas on him round 1 and almost submitted him and dominated him. I knew he was hurt during round 2 i just couldn’t see where because he hid it so well. This dude still went ham the rest of the fight handicapped against usman. Usman just couldn’t take his wrestling. It was too much for him. He caught khamzat a few times and couldn’t get him out either. Khamzat is a complete animal.
Finally someone with a good assessment. We are already starting to see the casual haters crawl out from their basements to hate on Khamzat. GGs to both men. Usman is a legend, Khamzat a legend in the making.

It was definitely the slam it was either his face smashing into the matt or his hand absorbs the blow. And the fact that after he injured his hand he still managed to stay out of danger on the feet, and take him down 3 more times. Khamzat is just great!

What danger did he pose to usman? No sub attempts, no sig strikes. Usman won the striking. I don’t see how laying on someone is a path to victory, especially after hearing he broke his hand.
