- The Black Dyke Band would like to pay a special tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on this very sad national day of mourning for her funeral.
She was an inspiration to us all and the band had the privilege to perform several times at events she attended.
This arrangement of 'God Save The King' was written especially by Gordon Jacobs for her coronation, with a fantastic fanfare to open.
This recording is curtesy of World of Brass from our concert last week with The Cory Band at the Symphony Hall.
Since our belovéd late Majesty passed away , I have been watching and listening to various renditions of the new, old National Anthem. This upload ranks amongst the very, very finest. Well done, one and all! 👍👍👍
The cleaneast trumpet i've heard
Not trumpets. The English use cornets in brass bands. The entire section to the left is the cornet section :)
M bintang the high notes are played by my amazing brass teacher Conner Lennon
GB is blessed with so many wonderful bands. This is a beautiful tribute.
Brilliant. Was great to be there. Special concert.

Adam Warburton on assistant principle trombone, now the new top bone at Dyke
Sounded like some of them were still singing Queen. Understandable.
I wonder how long people will keep saying God Save the Queen, after 70 years of that being the lyrics
Next question will also be, "How long will it take for people to sing God Save the Queen once more?"
God save King Bob 👑
