Camping alone in a very remote part of Death Valley at a very cozy little volunteer-maintained cabin in a beautiful Joshua tree forest. I explore the cabin and the mine...and then I get kind of lonely, so I try to contact passing UFOs by playing the Close Encounters theme on my new Artiphon Orba.

He's an idiot. Most of these locations are so remote and IN SUCH ISOLATED, rocky areas where you can't get to them without an off-road, modded vehicle. 99.9% of the morons he's allegedly worrying about CANNOT get to "his cabin." Whatever -- like the jerk owns the place! (The guys who get upset at WH don't own these cabins almost 100% of the time!)
He chose the wrong Wonderhussy to tangle with and got shamed. It's because of social media that you have to moderate when you act like an idiot in public... LOL

Probably the only way I will ever see most of these places out west is thanks to Wonderhussy, so I have two words for "Eric!"

While I agree that she doesn't say where these are, the names, and she is am amazing person, these vids do raise the exposure level for many folks to find them. If you don't know anything about them you won't try to find them. No one wants their special spot to be blown up and have a bunch of folks using them when you want to. I love her vids and watch them all but would be bummed if she made a vid about any of my special go to spots.
Dear WH, Don’t let someone like “Eric” get you down. I adore the desert but don’t live anywhere near it and life just can’t let me get to it as much as I’d like. Your videos allow me to travel with you and I learn an enormous amount of information from you and your endeavors. Someday, if Karma is real, Eric will find himself stranded at a remote cabin in the desert and just when he feels like all hope is lost, Wonderhussy will show up and save his grumpy ass. Life is funny like that. Thanks for all you do and please know that you bring an awful lot of joy to many people every single week. In my book, that makes you the big winner.

I'm from east Tennessee, and trying to figure out a way to make it happen vehicle wise out there. We'll that and trying to find the cabin itself lol
I'm from Kentucky and because of wonderhussy I did drive across country to Vegas in October of 2019. It was a great trip. All the attractions on the way were cool. Watching gave us so many ideals on where to go, we had a blast. Best trip ever!

Hey Eric, next time, leave a note to the people who don't know how to fold a Flag and leave trash in the fire pit and around the cabin. So people like Wonder Hussy doesn't have to be the only one following Leave No Trace.
You would think after being to how many of these shacks she would know how to fold our American Flag better. Shame on her for disrespecting our flag over and over again.

I get ya. But the drive out on the unimproved dirt road may require a high clearance low torque 4x4. That cabin is many miles from a paved road and it's at least two other roads to get there. I know that forest. One of the prettiest Joshua tree forests I've been to.

Close Encounters, I remember that movie..first saw in back in '77.
That movie prompted me to make my own pilgrimage to Devil's Tower.
Can't imagine the weird feeling of going to a remote cabin and seeing my channel name in a log book. 🤔 That said, I get the sentiment of wanting to keep things to yourself but, Eric, the world is meant to be shared...

Love the Joshua trees at that site. Nobody has more respect for these sorts of cabins and locations than you do, the person who wrote that log entry is kind of clueless. Eric's probably the same guy who didn't honor the flag by folding it correctly.

That's funny about what Eric wrote. I happen to know many others who frequent DV and PV who do not like you posting about your cabin experiences on You Tube. I always tell them that you are VERY good about trying not to leave too many clues as to the locations. Some people think they are privaliged and that only THEY should be able to use these places. I say fuck em all and feed em fish heads. You rock Sarah. I've been to this cabin a few times but never stayed. At 21:47 it's my understanding that the old "miner" in the middle of the three where you placed the desert flowers was dead when the photo was taken.
it takes a special sort of person to deal with the kind of heat out there. its easy enough to find those old cabins if I or anybody were a mind to. Were I alone and in trouble I'd want to know where they are, with no cell signals there. I go to the high deserts for solitude, away from people and noise.
@@davidreneau8212 Most of the volunteer kept cabins are well known about. And most of them are fairly easy access. It's the tweekers who watch these videos looking for things to steal that we have to worry about. If it weren't for the tweekers, life would be much easier to deal with.
