A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT | 10 hour shift

- I work for an Orthopedic hand surgeon. When he’s not in clinic he’s in surgery and today’s a clinic day. On his days we typically start @ 7:30 in the morning but it varies from time. The Dr. specializes in office procedures, cyst removal, bone fractures, joints, ligaments and tendons. We do lots of casting. He also treats carpal tunnel syndrome and if you don’t know anything about it it’s when the median nerve on your wrist is compressed.
I couldn’t show too much due to HIPPA violation and patient privacy.

The Medical Assistant program was challenging if I can do it you also can! The math part it’s just Basic Mathematics I’m sure you’ll be fine =)

At the moment I don’t plan to further my career. I’m happy where I stand. RN has crossed my mind a few times but it’s all up in the air right now.

Hi Kim, You are required to wear your hair up and back. In this circumstance it didn’t have to be, therefore I was not assisting a patient.
