Sorry... But your "title" is very misleading as you did not attempt to grow daylilies from their roots at all... :( Both examples you showed use a fully rooted cutting with leaves and then how to salvage above ground broken plant that is missing roots... Where is the part on "growing from Root Cuttings" .... ????
