10 years ago I was starting a skaven army. But I suffered from an accident at the very same time and I left the hobby completely as a cause of that. Now I'm getting me some paint pots to get started again. Not skaven though. But your videos just inspired me so much that I just have to come back to the hobby. Thank you!
Every howto tutorial inspires me to keep on painting. I wish my paintjob would be so cute. Your job is excellent. I really like howto videos. Don't give up make them, please. I watch your Warp-9-DVD almost every week. Thank you for those greats gifts.
Brilliant! Simple and very effective. I love it. Not quite so worried about painting a small horde of ratmen now. Love your videos, thanks for sharing your talent.
I'm leaving you a comment then :) Your videos always contribute to make me paint more and more, you're an inspiration. Thanks a lot and keep them comming please!
When you paint any miniature, it's look like it's very easy, and the outcome is great.. There ar hundreds tutorials in CZcams, but yours are the best, because of your explanations, your camera, and last bur not less, because you're painting in real time! It's some kind of Real Time Painting. Anyway, I love your videos.
Excellent tutorial, thank's, the results with the washes are really cool. I'm painting mini's again and your tips and tutorials have really helped, ta again.
Another informative video. My son will really enjoy this video as he has just started to collect scavens. Like all of your videos it just inspiers us to paint our own armies thanks.
I love the detail and time put into your tutorials. I ordered some greenstuff and some sculpting materials and I have some paint. I cannot wait to get started on such a great hobby. (Side note: I DM a dungeons and dragons game and can't wait to surprise em with custom minis from my homebrew world)
Love your painting tutorials they have helped me out a lot and have made the painting process much less intimidating for someone just starting the hobby (even though you have no videos on my army lol) Looking forward to more great vids :)
Cool model and I can't wait to see more videos. I want you to know that, you make it very hard to pick an army. All of your tutorials are so beautiful that I end up wanting to get models from all the different armies so I can try and paint like you,
On a more serious note, do you guys prefer using a black primer before painting armor? I never tried it but I think it gives a very nice effect. Input???
hello i have a question is there a easy way to acheive a steady hand because every time i try to highlight areas like armour my hand starts to shake and i mess up my whole modle
Alexandra, Great Tutorial! I was thinking about the "A trade off" video you made, and what I would love to see in your videos is more theory. Your "How To Paint Every Miniature" videos are simply fantastic, and single handedly helped me learn to paint. While I could watch you paint minis all day, I think videos in which you explain advanced techniques, and go over the artistic theory behind it would be a lot cheaper for you (because you could use any mini!) and of great benefit to the community.
I see everyone of the proes uses some kind of old Gw painting pot's backside or top and use some kind of weird material so you can set your minnature on it and its easy to paint and rotate without touching the minature. What are that thing that holds the minaturebase onto the old paint pot's end or top?
Thanks alot! I have always had trouble distinguishing what is skin and what is fur (since so little actual fur is shown on the model itself) but this showed me exactly what to do!
What is that stuff you use on the top of your model painting mount to hold it in place? I thought it was blu-tack but thought i would ask so i don't go sticking my model bases in blu-tack if it's something else :P
How the hell do you do to keep your paints wet on your dry palette? I've been doing some orcs from AoBR and I could make just one arm with all the highlights. After that the paint was almost completely dry. One arm!!! :)
Another great video, Alexandra. I really enjoy all your stuff but particularly the fantasy tutorials. I know you did some Empire videos a while ago. It would be great to see a tutorial on painting Reiksguard knights as I will be trying to do some soon. Thanks again and keep up the good work: I've really learned a lot from you.
Quick question, when you paint your highlights, do you paint wet on wet, or do you let the previous coat dry. when i try to highlight like that it makes my colors look segregated, and not really blending. BTW, thanks for having these videos, it does help.
love the sound effects :) How would you paint rust on the metal? currently I'm using a diluted orange and brown mix and stippling it on with a dry brush...
I always prime my miniatures in black, and never had promblems with that (unless I wonna paint 'em in white, then I use the white one),but I noticed that you often use different colours to do the same work. May I know why?
incredible job i'm using vallejo paint but I cant get the smooth surface like your ,how can you paint that smooth, and also what is the thing that you attack the figure when painting ?

Over the past couple of days I have started to watch your videos and they have taught me a lot about painting.
I like the calm way you go about your painting, really good end results too. Well done !
A wonderful video. I've been watching it repeatedly in an attempt to build up the nerve to paint my skaven.

This video was very helpful! Thank you so much! I don't feel so lost painting these little buggers no lol.
You are always so clear and careful in your tutorials. I painted an orc army using your treatment. I expect to do the same with skaven.
Thank you for the video. You have lessened my fears of picking up the hobby!
Every time I watch one of your painting vids it give me the itch to paint! So thanks!
You have a very beautiful voice!
Brilliant! Simple and very effective. I love it. Not quite so worried about painting a small horde of ratmen now. Love your videos, thanks for sharing your talent.
Love it........even admits the mistakes....and we see the corrections.
Its almost an inspiration. Thanks
Another excellent tutorial and fantastic results on the minature...great job...Jim.
I'm leaving you a comment then :)
Your videos always contribute to make me paint more and more, you're an inspiration. Thanks a lot and keep them comming please!

Love this model and paint job.
This has been a big help just started a Skaven army myself and was not looking forward to how detailed I normally go on troops with 150+ Clanrats

Great job and video as always.
You certainly have great brush control there. Very impressive.

Nice! Brilliant Job a lot of help! thx
Thank you!! I love your voice.
That being said. A fantastic tutorial. Thumbs up.
Thanks for this great vid !
On a more serious note, do you guys prefer using a black primer before painting armor? I never tried it but I think it gives a very nice effect. Input???
Beautiful tutorial as always! I would love to see a grey knight tutorial at some point in the future. I know you love that power armour. :)
hello i have a question is there a easy way to acheive a steady hand because every time i try to highlight areas like armour my hand starts to shake and i mess up my whole modle
would it be easier to pint the model once its asembled or paint the peices that put it together?
Where do you come up with the color or color combonations for your paint colors for the models...?
you are awesome . i learn a lot from you , thank you so much

Anyone know what color paint she used for the metal? I'm not fimilar with GW paints, and I couldn't catch it.
I always seem to get a streaky look when using washes - how do you prevent this?
nice tut this will really help me when i bought island of blood 4 christmas thx ;D
red sable brushes are fantastic, one lasted me a lil bit short of 1 year, and i used it for EVERYTHING :)
Thanks for the video! I watch/listen while painting my own minis. Even if it's not the same miniature. lol
Cool vid
You are skilled :)
may i ask whats that puttylike thing that hold the base to that old bottle?
Thanks alot! I have always had trouble distinguishing what is skin and what is fur (since so little actual fur is shown on the model itself) but this showed me exactly what to do!
What'd that thing you hold the model on in your left hand while you paint? Looks extremely useful!
Finally Skaven! Thanks Alexandra! =)
Any idea when the last part of the Dante tutorial will be up?
Do you ever get bubbles in your paint? How to avoid it?
What is that stuff you use on the top of your model painting mount to hold it in place? I thought it was blu-tack but thought i would ask so i don't go sticking my model bases in blu-tack if it's something else :P
awesome work. subbed.
Such skill!
Why do you sound like Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire?
Hi Alexandra,
How do you correct minor painting mistakes?
THANK YOU!
=)
this has helped me a lot
A really good tutorial thank you :)
(hi chewies!... love that at the start :p)

pleased what is the flesh colour?
Great work. Simple technique, easy to replicate and yet effective. I would use a brighter flock on the base to get more contrast with the dark mini.
Quick question, when you paint your highlights, do you paint wet on wet, or do you let the previous coat dry. when i try to highlight like that it makes my colors look segregated, and not really blending. BTW, thanks for having these videos, it does help.
Also, can you put duvlan mud (i think its that one) on a skeleton when it only has a white prime on it and still make it look real?
do you remember what ratio you used for mech red/chaos black on the cloth basecoat? :)
@GirlPainting How about Kaldor Draigo or Castellan Crowe instead? The techniques should be the same, right?
EEEeeeee! How long I have waited for this! ^,=,^
what the colour for the weapon ?????
Thanks this is helpful!
love the sound effects :)

Hello Alexandra, can you tell me the colors you use to paint the miniature? Thank you :)
