- So today we take a Quick Look at an epic piece for craftsmanship, a hand built Ford Orion Bmw E36 cross breed build by my friend Terry! He’s the transit man from last weeks German adventure

BMW color was Boston green.

Me and my brother put a 2.9v6 out of a grannda in to a medical 4 cortina estate then cut it down in to a pickup and it was savage really drove well twin webber 5 speed Sierra gearbox pulled like a train and upset lots of sill boys loads of fun around plymouth

Incredible work. But why, surely the BMW would be a better dynamic driving car and that guys skills would allow him to produce a glorious example.
Originally bmw was rotten on the sills door posts and some of the outer front mounting points hence it got cut up 👍

Love the m52 powerplant, I have two 328i bmw e36s, one coupe, one touring - both manual. I’d put that engine in everything if I could. Suits the Orion very well. Nicely done. Bet that’s a giggle to hoon around in.
BMW don't bother me to be honest I like my fords and had a fiesta MK1 supersport and xr3 escort back in the 90s trying to save for a Capri project my self Terry's mishmash is nice and done really well must of taken some time and i bet its fun to drive be nice to see it again but finished inside 👍

I would say it's more of a British Racing Green, lovely colour though. Good job.👍( Maybe paint the Trabant in that colour Al....erm!.....maybe not).

There’s a mk2 cortina in the Wigan area with a bmw straight 6 diesel in it out of a 335d. Spoke with the guy and it’s mapped to 350bhp .

Good Afternoon Al, Fudgey and Terry. What a very Beautiful Ford Orion Mark 5 with a BMW E36 2.8L Power Unit. I really loved the Shiny Paint work in Tormaline Green. To finished the look of this Beauty, some BMW BBS Wheels. I really liked her stance and Kerb Side Appeal. Terry, had done a Superb build on this vehicle, I really liked the slight touch of Mercedes Benz Single Wiper Unit. What a Great runner and everyday vehicle. I really liked watching this video Al. Thank you for sharing with me.

Brilliant vid I have put tunnels in a few mk4 escorts but Terry has done that well tidy it looks factory at first glance think you should do a part 2 of it mot,d and out on the road your content keeps getting better snd better which is a massive achievement because running your own garage is loads of aggro and graft on its own thanks chaps BRILLIANT VID 😊😊

Friend of mine has married a Subaru Legacy Outback H6 3.0 to a custom chassis and a mk5 fiesta bodyshell. It is simiarly silly, but unlike this, is quite obviously a frankensteins monster

Dull man fact of the day: the mk5 escort flopped at launch and Ford started rebadging the Orion as the "escort saloon"
That was so the Orion sales figures went with escort sales figures to try and bump them up a bit
IIRC the mk5 was badged orion the mk6 was badged esxort, as you say the escort sales had slipped behind the astra, in response to ford dropping the orion badge Vauxhall dropped the Belmont badge and called it an astra Belmont to get sales figures up

If you go back to a video of a 2014 sprinter we rebuilt the engine on its about 16-18 months ago you can see us fix the same model of engine back then 👍
