2. I always review my bill and people call me cheap because of it. But yep, on more than one occasion, I've been charged for food I didn't order. So I check!

Hey hey!!!! I live in MD and I go to the nail place pretty regularly but my tab is about $35 - $40 for a poly gel manicure and then a pedicure is about $50. I only go once a month for a pedicure. My nail place does charge an 5% when using your card and have been doing this since the pandemic honestly. But there is always a service charge when using your card. Because it’s cost the salon more when they have to process credit card purchases. At least that’s how it was explained to me.

KC even in the Louisiana the nail shops charge us for a debt card, when they are the ONLY businesses that charges their customers for a using a card! Ridiculous! Then they even asking us for a cash app and Venmo, like this the corner store.

I’m in North Carolina I pay 45 for my pedicures with gel Polish… A full Set with gel polish is 40 to 45 depending on length and shape!!
Hey auntie!! Yes I pay attention and check my receipt all the time. I think nails and pedicures have gone up especially since Covid. I got my nails done yesterday and I paid more than usually but I paid it anyway. Yes, I notice most places in New Jersey are charging fees to use the Credit and/or Debit Card. However, it’s generally $2-$3 or 3% the most I have seen.

I get gel full set and a gel spa pedicure and total it’s $120 and I usually leave a $20 tip.. I leave more during the holidays but I usually never pay more than $150 total and I get designs as well.

I pay 79.00 for pedi and dip with manicure. The dip helps my nails grow that way I don’t have to pay for a full set , I just use my own nails. Memphis Tennessee by the way 💖

Yes, that was a lot of money. I can get that plus I get the powder color plus the gel for less than that. 45-55 includes a design sometimes. Pedicure around 40 if I get the gel. I usually decline the aggressive messaging of the legs because of my health problems.

I used to get my nails for over 20 yrs, got tired of the fills! is around 25 for pedicure, and extra $5 for gel or pink and white or design. i hate being gauged!!!
Credit card companies charge a percentage every time someone pays with a credit card. So the credit card companies take a few dollars away from the businesses depending on how much it is. As a small business owners I try not to take credit card payments because they take my money away from me. That’s why some places charge to use credit cards so they still get their full amount owed from you.

You are right, your toes and hands were a tad pricey. In Alabama I paid about 50 for powder dip nails and pedi was anywhere from 25 for reg to 55 deluxe. I never do gel pedi because for me regular polish lasts just as long. Back in kY now and I don’t have “a place” yet either but it’s a lot more expensive.
