- Street Running Train With Military Tanks, Oversize Load Flat Cars And Over 2 Miles Long! This Street Runner Train Has 4 Locomotives With 2 DPU Locomotives Mid Train! This train with army tanks is in LaGrange, Kentucky on the CSX Short Line from Louisville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio. This was the first train of the day since a 4 car local switching train went through at about 10:40am. This giant street running freight train came by at 5:34pm. This is a repost to keep my channel active while I am in Florida and since the original post was before I had a lot of subscribers.
I also filmed it going through Walton, Kentucky at 2:32pm. The town clock in this video is one hour slow. Walton is at Mile Post 89 and LaGrange is at Mile Post 27. I filmed it passing Walton southbound and while filming it there, a train passed by northbound on the Norfolk Southern line. That video is going to be awesome so don't miss it! I was standing in a parking lot between the CSX and NS lines in Walton and filmed both trains. After that I drove to LaGrange and waited for the train so I could film the 575 a second time. After the train passed LaGrange I heard train 574 waiting in the clear to come through northbound. So I decided to stick around and film that train also, however, 574 developed a mechanical issue with the locomotives. I listened to the dispatcher asking them questions and trying to figure out what to do to get the train rolling again. Another employee drove out and they got on the DPU and were having trouble getting the air pressure up. I saw the train pull up a short distance and stop next to a crossing. A few hours later the first part of that train came through LaGrange but I was on the way home with a very long drive and don't know what they finally did. The best frequencies for this line are the old L&N frequencies of 161.370 and 161.310. The EOT frequency of 452.9375 is good as long as you aren't near Louisville or any other areas where trains could be parked or switching. While I was in LaGrange I stopped at The Red Pepper Deli and got a couple of BBQ sandwiches and Mountain Dew. That was excellent and right next to the tracks. They put my sandwiches in styrofoam containers since I was going to eat outside and not take a chance on missing the train. One box had my name on it and the other said " Jail " on it. Not sure why. They were very good and I gave them a tip with Abraham Lincoln on it.
In the intro to this video I drove down the street running section to show what it looks like. I sped the film up to 1.5 and also notice at the end of the street you can see a clear signal for a northbound train. That was for train 574 that broke down just a few miles south of town and I never got to film it due to it coming through in the dark. Obviously, that part of this video was filmed after the military train street runner had passed. I did that because I didn't know for sure if I would even get to see a train at all here. I knew 575 was coming but what if they stopped at Worthville, Ky and didn't get here until dark? LaGrange doesn't get the volume of trains that it use to get. Precision Scheduled Railroading ( PSR ) and rerouting have dropped the amount of trains here down to only about 7 or 8 every 24 hours and in the winter most of those are in the dark.

Those are all going to Ukraine🤣🤣
And somehow stupid and fragile at the same time. Lot of examples when tanks are sliding of the flatbed railcar, totally undone for a while.... Looks so stupid 😂, another great way to molest the warmachine is destroying the railway at multiple points and destroy the locomotive. Well, of course this strategy will work when a wartrain enters enemy territory, wich happened a lot in WW2 for example. But in todays Ukraine conflict, the Russians where so dumb to approach Kyiv with a massive colonne........ How stupid can you be? Sitting ducks, waiting to receive havoc, and the rest is already history. The best weapons of war are 2 things and 2 things only: nuclair strike and normal infantery men.

@@JawTooth Hi Brian 👋🙂 You're welcome 👍🙂
Wow! Excellent catching a military train, army tanks, and 4 locomotives in La Grange, Kentucky, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and happy late-Valentine's day.
Thanks for watching 😊
The amount of weight that train was carrying, omg. Insane.
A gigantic pile of freight 😊
Coming from England, the length and weight of that is insane. As is the way it runs through the high street. Absolutely awesome.
That army train was a beast! I'm always amazed that these roll right through the middle of the Main St USA. People must just be used to it!
Folks in Lima, Ohio, are helping to keep our country safe!
Sure
Thanks for watching 😊

@@JawTooth indeed JT thanks 😊👍
Just about everything on that on JT. In UK we called that mixed freight. 👍👍👍👍
Very cool! We call it that and also a manifest
Some REAL heavy metal being moved! Great video!!!!

1st Train 01:20 - 2 Engines - 2 DPU's 06:20 - 198 Cars (16 M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks)
Wow, that was a lot of cars!😊
This was a spectacular video today. You really nailed it JT! That was one impressive train! Thanks 👍 very much. 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
You really don't see any DoD transports around my neck of the woods. So for me, that really was something different. It looked like new equipment.
Thanks for watching 😊
What a fabulous train with those tracked military vehicles!!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching 😊
Amazing Pennsylvania - Phil; military trains run all the time across America.
And saw some old roads go by, SOO and C&NW. Yes that train had about everything. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Awesome oldie but goodie great video thanks Brian
Glad you enjoyed it
It was fun loading M1A1 tanks on a train. The tracks hang off each side a little, and you just drive across the gaps between cars.
Wow, I love that town with trains running right between the streets!
I remember that train! Super cool. Great seeing it today and the animals. Thanks JT. ❤
Thanks for watching!
This train is like Lamb Chops song. This is the song that never ends........
Army tanks, bunch of centerbeam cars!!! Wow😊
Thanks for watching 😊
Enjoyed the video. I really like La grange
Good choice!
One of the most interesting mixed consists I've seen on here. Nice to see that variety, with so many container trains on the rails these days.
Many thanks!
Good Morning!!!!!!!!
Morning!
@@JawTooth I was wondering if you could come and visit me sometime and maybe you and I can check out some trains here in Michigan?
Very awesome video with miltary train there. Just love watching those trains.
Thank you very much!
Was it me, or did that train speed up quite a bit while street running? Don't see a lot of military stuff on the rails around here, even though the Providence & Worcester main line runs through the US Naval Submarine Base in Groton, but occasionally submarine builder Electric Boat, also in Groton, will get a nuclear reactor delivered by rail! But, due to tunnel clearances, it has to come down the other side of the river on the old Central Vermont RR, which also runs through Norwich here in eastern CT. The tunnel I mentioned is in Lisbon, just north of Norwich, it was the first railroad tunnel in commercial use in the USA. If you want to read a good railroad history book, I suggest you read "History of the Norwich & Worcester Railroad" by Elmer Farnham, lots of good info, and pictures too!
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
Ooh, shiny! No unit markings and no wear on the track pads on those M1s. That’ll soon change. Tanks for sharing.
Tank up trooper ! 🍻🍺🪂🪖🇺🇸
What a long train. Great video!

My goodness! What a long, incredible train. I couldn't count cars the due to either my phone or the video jerking. I wish I could have because it was very, very long. It had just about everything on it probably the best I've ever seen!!!!! Fabulous catch JT!!!😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

It was good to see the pets from back in the day. Time doesn't stop for anything. 😮
Thanks for watching 😊 we miss Sophie 😢
As a fellow pet lover, understand completely. I wasn't sure if I should say anything but memories are what we cherish to get us through. 😭
Man that was awesome JT, street running is always a treat and the cherry on top was those M1A1 tanks🇺🇸. Them twin GEVO DPU’s sounded mean💪🏼. Another excellent video JT, truly appreciate your commitment bringing us these videos 👍🏼🇺🇸😎
Thanks 👍
Wow, the cover shot for the video is extremely powerful. LOOK at all of those tanks on an average street in America. This is what war would look like in America.
Watching twice. Awesome video. Thanks Mr JT. We enjoy this one. ❤😊 Very interesting.😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice job, something different for you..thanks for sharing..😊
Thank you! 😊
Good catch on the military train Brian
I also got it in Walton 🎉
I'm upset that there are no street running trains in my hometown
I look for them. You should visit this one
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to watch this train with military tanks on it again, Jaw Tooth! I enjoyed watching this train street running in LaGrange, Kentucky again.
Thanks Thomas!
That was a great one JT.
First love the videos keep if up
Thanks! Will do! Thanks for being here so fast!
My tea is gone and so has another great JT video.😢 But wait there's more! More tea as well. 😂 Stay safe Brian! Have a great day folks! 🚂
You too!
What a cool video Jawtooth. That was a really long train. All those military tanks and other special rail cars. And a couple DPUs. Pretty cool. 👍❤️
Man that was an awesome catch!!! Shoot you had tanks, DPU’s and that oversized car too! Very nice catch 👍🏻
Great video ..thanks JT
Glad you enjoyed it
I never seen a train that long thank you for this
I have more like this. check out my play lists
Great video JT. Love that street running in Lagrange..
Thanks 👍
Thanks JT for that impressive video. Suberb quality recording as always. In my youth some 65 years ago I was a train spotter making a note of the engines numbers spotted here in the UK and marking them off in the ABC of British Railways rolling stock. We were a unique bunch referred to as "Anoraks". Such a lovely endearment. Can't beat the old day of steam locos. 😀
Very cool! I have never heard that term before. I look for the steamers and get a few every year. I think I got about 9 last year
thanks for the repost, quite the train to see, nice one
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome train wow army train watching enjoying too and enjoy the side show too always you have great videos Jaw Tooth 🚂🚂🚂🚂👍😃😎♥️
Thanks for watching!
Tanks alot for the video
Awesome train 🚆 video from Brian. Thanks for sharing this video with us.😊 God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏.

Another nice Jawtooth video. Great way to start the day.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video with 2 dpu working hard but wait there’s more 👍🚂🇺🇸😎👍
Thanks 👍
Hey jaw tooth it's fun watching street running trains . They emptied the yard for that one. Very loooooong train. Glad to see animals are doing great. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Than ks Lesa! I just got back from Florida and we got a few inches of snow lol
Thanks for showing it. I hope those merchants are adequately insured!
I hope so too
It amazes me the way they can move whole buildings like that, often with no damage. I believe if I was a business owner on the train street I'd constantly wonder when a derailed train would come through my building.😮😮😮
I enjoyed that video👍👍
Thanks 😊🎉
Awesome train! Love it. ] thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Thanks, will do!
That represented number of tanks in one armor company when I was in the military.
a street train AND tanks?! WOW
Wow. look at all those Abram Tanks, Really Cool, Jaw Tooth.
Thanks for watching!
Makes me feel good as a American and a veteran.Make way folks and wave to the engineers.
Tanks a lot for the great video.
Glad you liked it!
Man you work it, you recorded this on my birthday. Nice!!!
Rock on! I wish I would have said happy birthday. Happy Birthday, a little late lol!
Saw a young man with a "The Rock" hoodie. The Rock being the new Rock Island railroad in Mississippi. Hoodie was bankruptcy blue... Back in the day, having a business on a street like this would have been convenient. I notice that LaGrange has a quiet zone set up.
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Those were 16 new M1A2 SEP tanks being shipped to a unit who will probably be undergoing new equipment fielding in the future. The rest of the train was just civilian wagons.
Very Nice video once again from our man on the move ! 🙂 Woof woof and meow meow to Norfie and Chessie ! 😺🐶
Thanks again!
That was some train JT, great live action.
Thanks!
Another great Live-Action video Jawtooth. Man, that track looked shinier than a new quarter. I live up in Mass, and a division of the Cape.Cod & South Shore Railroad is revitalizing a bunch of old tracks that have new customers on it. Narrowly saved from being converted to walking/bike paths like all the great old railroad tracks. See you in the next one buddy. 👍 🚆
I love ❤️ that rail too, JT!!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Good morning JT ❤
Hi JT: Whoah, army vehicles transported on a train? Awesome! I've never seen that done before. Makes perfect sense!.. Thanks for sharing your efforts. Have a nice day! Respectfully, David. 👍👍
They have been transporting army vehicles/military vehicles and such for decades and decades on trains.
@@sanddabz5635 Right on... Thanks JT!
@@davidmoran3248
I'm sure CZcams has tons of military trains or tank transport videos.
Cheers!
@@sanddabz5635 You guys are right! I was able to find several other related videos! Thank you for chiming in! 👍
Thanks for watching 😊
You know when you step out of the store and see a train coming down, you aint getting anywhere on time! Is there some sort of schedule for freight trains coming through here?
Great capture and awesome to see the tanks!
Very true lol. There is no schedule. They run at all hours of the day and night. There are about 8 trains every 24 hours
Some where there is a very empty rail yard! Yikes thank you Jaw Tooth
3,8Km long a beauty for sure
Great! A monster in Lagrange!👍
Indeed!
Good Morning Jaw Tooth hope you are doing well and had a great valentines day with the Mrs great shots of the CSX military train Just about every type of car on that train cept for the kitchen sink lol take care thank you
We just got back from Florida. It was in the 70sF down there and now that I am home its in the 20s and we got a few inches of snow right after I got home lol
@@JawTooth welcome back and did you get any FEC trains i have had the opportunity to see some of theirs it is amazing to watch they have planned the loco's matched with the huge tanker in between they must be able to go long distances without refueling take care have a great day
@@drujohns1394 Yes, I got a really nice FEC mixed freight with the tender in the middle of the locomotives. I filmed it and before any cars could get over the crossing a Brightline train came flying past
@@JawTooth curious to know if you have ever seen an Cincinnati East Railroad locomotive in HO Scale ? its a long shot i know lol
@@drujohns1394 Yes, I bought a few about 5 years or so ago. I only ran them once and they are the GP49s that CCET used to have. I have them in boxes, the next time I film CCET I might put them in the video if I remember
Nice catch.
Thank you very much!
Great catch and nice video
Thanks 😊
I'm 71 and when I was a boy I believe all trains had a caboose but I guess they just don't need them anymore.
That was good one!
Thanks!
