Pittsburgh it is. Thanks for the vid. Sometimes as a hobbyist it’s hard to gauge when it’s time for, “buy once cry once” vs being able to get a good value.
I wish Vampire made long reach pliers. Their standard pliers are fantastic.
You dont know a good heavy duty long nose pair of pliers till you've used a snap on set, those are beefy and NICEEE. I been wanting to try those knipex but just havent pulled the trigger.
I agree the snap on are nice for sure. It's hard to compete with these Knipex though. I think you would enjoy them as well
Those cable cutters and crimpers look like something I might invest in. Looking forward to the review.
Ya I'm excited to see how they perform. You don't see to many crimpers this style or ones that can do 0 gauge. I'll compare how it crimps to my hammer crimper
Great job on your videos
Thank you!
Thanks Tony. I picked up the Kotto set. I need a 90 so I’ll try bending them with an acetylene torch and a vise.
another good video Sir have a great week
Thank you. You do the same
I had the Pittsburgh long reach pliers for about a year and a half. I had used them quite a bit, but not everyday. The pliers didn’t grip as well any longer. I ordered the same version from Tekton and I used those more frequently. Later on I discovered Tekton no longer offers long reach needle nose pliers when I tried to order a different design😳. I don’t understand their thinking, but oh well. I do have a set of their 6” and 7” long nose pliers coming in soon. It’s apparent I will not be able to warranty my long reach pliers through Tekton if I ever need to, those may go to the trash bin. Harbor Freight was kind enough to warranty their versions for me. But, I recently sold those of in a collection of tools I didn’t use anymore. My next option for these pliers are the Carlyle version.
Very nice and that is unfortunate hopefully they do an updated version in the future. The Carlyle ones are good also.
I’ve had HF extended reach needle nose pliers for over a decade and they always do exactly what I ask of them. Those dual action pliers are those pliers you really don’t need until you really need them🤔
Completely agree and mine have been outstanding as well.
I’ve had the long needle nose and hose pliers for about 8 years and they do what I need them to. Got a pair of double jointed for Christmas and I didn’t think I’d ever use them but they got me out of a couple pinches.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I have a set of the gear wrench hose pliers they have been handy the hand fill of times i have used them
Ya I know exactly what you mean. Same here
I picked up a three piece Carlyle set on eBay for $45. They are pretty good. Also, Menards Masterforce brand is surprisingly decent.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing
That 4 piece set is cool
Ya for the price I thought it seemed like a good deal
@@TonyTheTechnician hear in Canada it would be about 45 chucky bucks
@@danohstoolbox oh dang
Crescent makes a nice double x. I wouldn’t doubt they’re the same as gearwrench since both are apex brands. They do have more contoured handles which I don’t normally like but when you’re going for an obscured hose clamp it helps
Ya they are the same as the gearwrench but your right I've heard alot of people say the handles feel better 👍
I have the same style as the Kotto I bought at TSC, 4 for $16! The 2 Vice Grip DA I have work well. I like the Pittsburgh's too. My only pair I have ever been disappointed with was my SO set of single action straight needle nose. They flex too much to be very useful. I believe that pair cost as much as all of my others combined!
Oh damn haha thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with different brands. 👍
Tony, if you have the spare cash, I’d love to see you review some nepros and koken tools. Specifically I think the world class universals from koken “z” series and sockets. And the nepros ratchets. Beautiful stuff. Better than Snap-On.
Harbor Freight recently introduced a Quinn double jointed long reach pliers. Wonder how they compare to the Gearwrench ones.
Ya I think I've seen those as well. Probably a pretty good set
good review lots of detail. The proof will be in six months of actual use. Was the hat in video signed by Ron Capps?
Thank you and ya I always have him sign my hat when we win a race
you should smoke a cigar in your next plier video and use pliers to hold it haha
Lmao
Hello tony hope all is well with you
Thank you. All is good. Hope your good as well
