Located in the Koppal district, close to Anegundi across River Tungabhadra from Hampi, Anjanadri Hills is believed to be the birthplace of the Hindu lord Hanuman. Born to Anjana, lord Hanuman was also called Anjaneya and hence the hill is called Anjanadri hills, believed to be his birthplace.
This is also a sunset point and the scenic view of the tungabhadra river flowing between the rocks and mountains is awesome. It's a climb with 575 steps to the top of the hill.
