My question is, what about sneakers that is built like a jungle boots? Airy shoes are the best for us office workers but I happen to hate the look and durability of normal running shoes.

Love to see a Muggs and whatever the summer version is called... With a wider toe. Not a barefoot shoe necessarily, but something with a much wider toe box.
For the love of god, when you make these remember people with duck ass wide feet like me so we can actually wear them, cuz these are rad!
They always duck out 😁 I "suffer" from not being able to buy anything regular sized as well... always have to go up 1 or 2 sizes

if you’re going to make the pull tab bigger, y’all should lower down the back of the shoe that way there isn’t a huge loop sitting above the height of the shoe itself ☑️
Just ordered my SMUGS the moment the early access email arrived! The worst thing was trying to choose the colour... ended up going with (what my wife chose) the green! Really looking forward to getting these.
What size did you go with compared to your boot size? I'm a 9e US in boots and I'm thinking 9.5 wide for these, I got em in my cart just scared to pull the trigger
@johnnyregs2378 There seems to be a lot of confusion on sizing for these. Weston says in a video to go 1 bigger than your US brannock, but doesn't really explain why, and it's unclear if he's trying to convert UK to US or if he actually thinks these shoes run small. FWIW Goral says to go with your "normal" size, whatever that means.
I'm a 10 EE brannock and I went with a 10.5 US wide just in case they do run a little small, and I have no idea if their wide is an E or EE, so hopefully it'll be wearable.
@@BadChappy thanks man that helps, ended up going with my brannock in wide. Hopefully they'll break in or at least accept exchanges since everything is so vague lol

@@johnnyregs2378 I'm a UK size 10, and I ordered a UK size 10. That was based on the instruction video I carefully followed prior to ordering, which gave me no indication I should do otherwise.
force them to make the mugs in wide pls! i ain't trying to go up 3 or 4 sizes just to fit my wide ass foot in it.

Ive worn this style (wolverine 1k sneaker hitops) of sneaker to weddings but also hiked Yosemite in them. Hands down the most underrated style of shoe because of the versatility and price. They just look really good and are super durable.
I hope you get the opportunity to come over to the UK to visit Goral in Sheffield. They’re not that far from CF Stead in Leeds, and Northampton, the home of British shoemaking isn’t far away too. I’m sue you arrange a few factory tours.

That's a really good looking sneaker! I absolutely LOVE that in today's disposable society world you are going out of your way to make a quality product from great materials, that is designed to last, and actually be repaired to make it last even longer. I am sure they will be out of my starving artist budget, but if/when I am able to, I will be more than happy to support what you are doing! I love my MUGs.
My only issue is the pull loop is too small.
the only added little thing about the heel loop is that there's a thin cloth lining inside the leather, which has separated from the leather stitch on mine. should just be leather on the loop.
I, like many in the comments, are disappointed these aren't being made with an anatomical toe box. I'm surprised because you yourself have recognised how much better wide toe boxed shoes are

Unfortunately this channel turned me onto barefoot shaped shoes for my wide feet and I cant ever go back. They look great, though!

I have all 3 colors of Muggs and love them. The “summer” version is a no brainer.
I've always loved the Muggs but I don't live in a very cold climate so I'm delighted to see these. And they definitely don't need to be cheap. Quality first.
Use hooks in the top three laces eyelets... Much easier to put on and tie ...

Rancourt makes a very similar high top that I own and is pretty sweet! I got natural horween leather on them and the patina is beautiful! I'll definitely be picking up a pair of your new Collab high tops! They came out really nice, excellent job Wes!

If these cost considerably less than Crown Northampton sneakers I would consider buying them, if not, the Northampton's would be a better choice for a similar price (more sole variants, leather variants, more sophisticated craftsmanship)

Those are good-looking sneakers. Just a white or off-white version would be nice. For me, white shoes are the most versatile to wear.

You are a bad man. I have been eyeing up some Goral Skeltons for sometime after looking at one of your Crown Northampton vids and have now just ordered a pair of SMUGS in dark brown. I have a feeling I will definitely get a pair of MUGS in black with a black sole if you do another run.

Looks nice, especially the natural and green, but are these any different to what Crown Northampton do as they have Horween leathers,leather lined and even do Shell as an option, cork filler, french bind ect...?

as someone who made their own veg tan boots this year i can confirm my 3.8mm thick boots are not broken in yet even after wearing them for 2 months lol but it will be worth it in the end i hope

Two questions in anticipation of the pre-sale. 1. I, and seemingly others, are confused as to why you suggest upsizing a full size? 2. Where can they be resoled? You mention Markham…are they readily available to US cobblers? It would be great to understand these two thing before the considerable investment! Thanks

Also what I noriced doesn't really show up in vids is the leather on the sides is heavily tumbled so it feels great and is flexible.

Did you do a review of the Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill sneaker? That is by far my favorite boot/sneaker hybrid. French binding and speed hooks and horween leather, margon sole. Sadly, it's been discontinued
You should do a comparison video of these with the Stanley’s (from Goral) and the Crown’s .

I use the similar low top leather sneakers from thursday and they're great.

Yes these are built on the G1 last which offers a wide fit.

I love this idea, but I, too, want a slightly wider toe. I really like my MUGGS, but they’re so narrow, and that makes the feel of the Blake stitch really noticeable
The Muggs were narrow due to the nature of the shearling. We’ve also introduced a wide sizes on our lasts, a wide size can be selected on the product page now.

I ordered a pair in natural color.
What shape is the insert/footbed? I love my 1st-gen Muggs but I can't wear them on days when I have to stand a lot and I think it's because they're too flat.
These are going to have moulded removable insoles, same as our sneakers. The Muggs were crafted with 3mm full shearling insole.
Still wearing my Muggs most days even at 70°F
