- One this episode LQ is joined by DTinaglia Studios to explain the Ninja's elemental powers. Why did they need the golden weapons? Why are their powers connected to Lloyd when other elemental masters aren't? We hash our these problems with the information the show has given us to provide the best possible explanation.

I think the ninja’s powers are different than the other elemental masters because they are the four main elements of creation, so it would be harder to unlock, but the elemental masters have powers that are easier to unlock. That’s just what I think
I think of it in this way.
They have always had powers. Its just that when they had the weapons they relied to much on them and so thought the powers came with the weapons which basically gave them their powers. When lost they dont have the weapons AKA power catalyst and so cant call their powers unless they learn them again WITHOUT THE WEAPONS. Lloyd takes place of the weapons and is somewhat of an emitter to unlock their powers like the golden weapons and doesnt give them the powers but gives them their capabilities without having to train to get the capability of powers. When Lloyd is gone they will still have their powers its just that they will be set back to step 1 having to unlock them which they think they have done but instead have just been given a free pass to the full power of their powers thanks to their weapons and lloyd
Nice explained video, I enjoyed it. My favorites part of this explained video is when you guys explained how Lloyd gave the ninja their elemental powers but Lloyd had no intent to give them back. Lastly I'm looking forward to the next one. :)

*The Ninja were able to use their inherited Elemental Powers through the Golden Weapons however, they were relying on the Weapons and not using the powers naturally. Without the Weapons, they had powers, just couldn't access them until they went to the Temple of Light.
*Lloyd giving the Ninja their powers back tied the Ninja to him. However, they've probably developed their powers enough that they no longer relied on Lloyd by S8.
*Zane was given his powers by the former Elemental Master of Ice.
Imagine Rejector yes but like the others he gave the powers to loyd and then the were given back by him
Ya but the thing is that Lloyd (before getting golden power) could use fire,lighting,earth,ice, and energy but after rebooted he couldn’t use them
Haded Noor he hasn't used them. Nothing has said he couldn't to my knowledge
He can still use them but he has the most powerful element and his team of ninja
He probably will when he is alone and No one is there to help
But remember he has energy which allows him to create a forcefield and shoot bright pure energy
Its also a power that is a mixture of the four elements
So technically he is actually using Fire Ice Earth and Lightning

OakleyHasAFoot 787 yea it always annoyed me as a kid I thought that loyd gave the ninja his own powers and then he couldn’t use them
After lloyd restored the njnjas elemental powers he was left with the power of energy making him unable to use the four main elements on their own
But when Lloyd’s powers where gone in the season of the sons of garmadon the ninjas still had their powers
Not that I have a perfect answer for it here, but it seemed in that case they weren't really gone, just dormant, like with Kai in the Fire&Ice Season
@@TheBCCCrew By the time of Season 8, the four Ninja’s powers became more independent, making it so that they don’t rely on Lloyd for the powers at all anymore. I think Tommy Andreasen said it on Twitter somewhere, I’m not totally sure, but I know this is the proper explanation.
By the time of season 8, their Powers are independent of Lloyd, so he may be able to get his Golden power back if he is no longer sharing them.

Visual Gamer they have always had their powers it's because lloyd t inherited it and lloyd needed to become the gold ninja to defeat the overload.
Good video, only complaint is why is the intro more than 1 minute long
me wondering why the 4 og ninja had there powers in hunted when lloyd didn’t because in possession lloyd wasn’t dead when he was possessed: .
I thought them unlocking their true potential was them actually using their power's. I thought this because of what Garmadon said about the other elemental masters unlocking their true potential. But they couldn't really use them. Unless that one time we're in the end of season 2 where Zane created an ice path. Also I didn't understand why the ninja had to give their power's to Lloyd in the temple of light when Lloyd already has them. It was seen before they went to the temple of light when he covered a stone army warrior with earth, electrocuted some stone army swordsman and when he used fire to burn the bamboo the stone army warrior was gonna use to attack Wu. Also Lloyd used ice to freeze Garmadon's mega weapon in the episode when the ninja went back in time. Maybe them giving their powers to Lloyd in the temple of light wasn't really for him to have control of their elements, but it was for their powers to infuse within him to create his golden power.
no they shared there power get the golden dragon and when they unlocked there potential they were abale to use there powers just like how they do it now but there golden weapons have to be near them thats why pythor locked them with the thing that stome there pwoer i think it was chromostone i cant rember but it stops them form using there power so he rapped the golden weapons so he couldnt use his powers and i think season 2 episdoe 1 when we see kai trying to use his fire he is trying to use his element and he made a sparc but i also think this to this is my theor now i think the ninja power were sealed in the golden weapons half of it in the golden weapons and half of it in the elemental blades if those weapons broke they would of been able to use there powers and why they were sealed i think it was the make the propachy happen wherer the ninja give lloyd there powers and boost him and help then later he kill the overload or lord garmadon so i hope thats what happens and i think sensi wuu took the elemental blades for the next genration of elemental masters because the golden weapons and the elemetnal blades are simmialer giving the user controll of there elemental powers so he probably hid them were the orginal golden blades were hidden and if this i also true this everything i just said explains why the elmental masters like kai parents and those genrations doent need these powers and there was no golden ninja back then so there was no propchy sooo yh that explains everything you need to now about the ninja's powers
maybe the elemental masters already had there powers unlocked way before the ninja
That's another possibility I didn't go over here. We really haven't seen any backstory on any elemental master besides Morrow.

yea its confusing i really dont go to deep into it but i know there are flaws id like to come and discuss them on the show sometime
Honestly the whole thing about lloyd being able to cut their powers off is stupid. It should've worked the other way round in season 2 as the ninja were loaning their powers to llyod to become the golden ninja, so when lloyd gave them back he should not have had any control over them whatsoever.
Win lloyd get his golden power back ???? let me know win u get me back okay and one more thing why is all ninjago season and episodes are not on Netflix

what about nya i mean she technically is a protector of the green ninja just not the four main ones and i think its pretty stupid that lloyed had to use his friends powers to unlock his own like that feels so smug its so cheese how they did the story of the green ninja
Nya is not one of the four main elements.
How do we know the parents didn't unlock them in the past?
We don’t, but it’s safe to assume that they didn’t need to.
Your getting it wrong it’s Lloyd’s power not the others

I actually do have some theories concerning that, but there's not much to go on. It's been promised to us in season 8, so we'll see if we get it.

We know now the old master of ice didn’t get married so he/she (I don’t remember gender lol) passed ice power to Zane I think with a “musical instrument” like Lloyd give blade and powers to others
I have a question then why did Lloyd had 4 elements as he save Master Wu in season 2 which was before he went to temple of light.
Lloyd has always had the 4 elements, he just needed additional energy for the golden power.
Wow so they were born to give their power to someone else that’s a pretty lame destiny honestly I would rather have a secondary element if it means I can keep it and don’t depend on someone else for it
I’m still makes no sense though why did they do that that just kinds of ruins the show
