The easiest way to watch videos is to connect an AV cable and an HDMI cable. I have done the above solution and it only allows CZcams. With AV you can watch anything.
can you explain what all I need in order to use AV?

Hey guess what I have AVH-4000NEX and AVH-4200NEX and I got both to work with a Microsoft wireless display adapter connected to HDMI and cast screen from my Moto X 2015 pure with Nougat. I set up App Radio Live like in your video and also ran App Radio app and Bluetooth. No USB connection. I was watching your video with sound. Awesome!

I could be wrong but I honestly believe quantum physics mechanical was easier concept of understanding than what you just described, trying to hook this Android phone to this NEX 2500 3500 I don't remember it cost $1,200 I know that.. I turned 70 next month. Maybe that's the problem...

I have a 1330 new... and an iPhone 8.. it doesn't work.. it won't let me open up the app radio I get a message saying caution now launching app if it doesn't launch in few sec please park vehicle and check iPhone screen.. nothing is on my phone screen and the vehicle is parked.. any ideas?

The app is trash!!! You might as well just download movies to your SD card and use the USB port.
I can’t even get the video to come up on my mvh 2300
I had to max out the volume on my phone to get normal volume from the head unit. First I accidentally maxxed out the head unit volume. Almost went deaf next time I used the stereo.
Same thing with my 2330 is there something wrong or is something not connected right get video on screen but no sound only on my phone

I have a MVH-AV251BT. When i am in Car play mode theres an icon that says pioneer and underneath says NEX. It has the icon but it won’t go pass the Caution screen. Do i have to program it or something?
I got it to work once. Not sure how. You have to have Chrome enabled or it won't let you login to youtube. I keep getting looped back into letting zephr log me in and blank screens. When it works my subscriptions folder isn't there. Just trending or categories.

Hey guys! Great vid. Today I bought the avh 1330 nex based on your info that it can mirror with android. I have a samsung gs5. The boys in Best Buy told me it couldn't work, only supports ios operating sys. Would have bought from you, but under time and distance constraints. I have zero confidence in those folks thinking "out-of-the-box" (yes, pun) and they told me under no circumstances would they install a by-pass. So, can I get my android to work using your methods and cables on the avh-1330 or did I make a mistake buying this unit?

Ok, here's my need. Pioneer 2330 I'm installing for my son. He has an iPhone. I like the idea of the CarPlay feature so that's occupying the USB connection on the 2330. The desire is to stream Netflix and/or CZcams on the screen. My thought was running two lightning cables; One for CarPlay and a 2nd lightning cable / component adapter to connect to the component in. Then just switch inputs on the stereo and of course use the right lightning cable in the console. Am I overcomplicating this? Is this easier than the 48 clicks required here? **AND** does the video on the 2330 only work when stopped or will what I'm proposing work when stopped or moving?
You need a 4200. I has 2 USBs and an hdmi input. It also has a $150 mail in rebate right now so they are almost the same price

Help guys. I had this working on my old phone s6edge Samsung now I have upgraded my phone to the s9plus the app will not link up with youtube . Ive tried checking box but it takes me the Google page telling me error 403 not letting me check the box. Please help

Any advice for adding an amplifier in a 2014 Chrysler 300 while maintaining the factory controls through the entertainment center? Is a LOC the only route?

+Jacob Seibert you will keep your factory Bass& treble adjustments. You can also plug it into a laptop and charge the factory EQ points to improve it more. These things are Awesome

I'm searching for a way to add solely an amp for a subwoofer while maintaining the factory audio system... unless there may be a way for me to splice in both the factory amp and the PAC system but that sounds a bit unprofessional/rigged.

What about the Pioneer AVH-4201NEX. What is missing it looks like its compatible. What am i missing? Would like to get today if it supports youtube.
+Justin Vapezcloudz the 4201 has an HDMI input, depending on what phone you have you can screen share your phone to the radio. You control it from your phone but you can view anything on your phone. This is a little different method because these do not have Hdmi in.
I have the S8±. So basically if i get the mini Hdmi for my phone then everything is the same. Thsnks for getting back to me so fast. Keep up the work.

Is this app radio thing slow for everybody else. It lags so bad. I just use Apple Car Play which works great but the things you can do are limited. Plus theres not allot of apps for carplay.

Hello I got it to work using your method. But when playing videos from CZcams, sound is coming from phone and video is played on the pioneer unit. How do you get the sound from the video to play thru the speakers of the car? Your help will be appreciated. Thanks

now that i realize everything i can do with android auto i love the radio despite not being able to play videos. Spotify premium and waze with android auto makes it completely hand free and as convenient as you could imagine

Hey guys, I've installed a avh-2300nex , app radio live installed too. I'm able to get sound from radio, spotify and other native apps on the unit but I can't get any sound when using appradio. No sound from CZcams (video shows but in a fast forwarding way) or any of the other media stuff from app radio live. I've app radio connected through the USB cable the came with the unit.
any suggestions please.

Jon Ayala yea I did but unfortunately the sound comes out of the phone. You've to connect your device using the USB cable that came with it then head to settings. Then under system go to input/output settings then click on AppRadio mode sound. By default its AVH. clicking it will change it to to smartphone. You are all set after that..
Simon Ofori lol such a pos radio but it was so much trouble to install I dont want to do it again. Let's be sure to get them a 1 star for no support. Cant even use half the features without having to click out of 5 other things first.

Hey Grace, yes, I got it all figured out. Your radio is even better suited for playing CZcams, movies and anything that you see on your phone. I ran into problems because my 8400nex did not have the latest firmware update. Make sure you look on the Pioneer website to see if you have the latest firmware update . Also, even though my 8400 is wireless, I have to use the usb and hdmi cables to get Android Auto and CZcams. The way to get movies, YT etc is via the HDMI port in the back of the radio. I know it's kind of confusing, but the folks at Pioneer tech. help are great. You'll need an HDMI to your phone port cable and you'll see everything that's on your phone... Take care!

I have the pioneer av251bt and the live app radio works on my system and it plays CZcams videos on the pioneer screen, the only problem is that the sound/music won't play from my speakers only from the app from my phone. Can you tell if I can change the settings?
This is also my problem. Have you fix it?
To fix this you need to use an aux cord, had the same issue but it works fine if you use an aux
