    Thank you for these videos!!! I recently had a 1500NEX installed. The installer was a whiz at the settings, but I forgot 90% of what he showed me. I will refer to these videos often.
    The 1500NEX is incredible, by the way. Thanks, Pioneer, for making a fantastic product!

    In the speaker level settings you have the option for the listening position to be off or be on all and I was hoping you’d cover that

      Please take a look at this part of the above video: czcams.com/video/Z86fQryoRVk/video.html There is an explanation of Listening Position as it relates to Time Alignment with the receiver. You can see the Listening Position settings as factory Presets for Time Alignment. When you go to the Time Alignment screen, you can customize the Time Alignment in the system to suit your needs. A couple things i just want to make sure of. The crossover setting and the subwoofer setting. Entering both yield the same menu. Is their any difference in the two menus ? They access the same 3 crossover points and settings stay in both. I figured it’s just something to do with network mode Other question- on the high pass crossovers , do they only work if your highs are run on rcas or does it control the speakers if run off the deck?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 Před 3 lety

      On Pioneer NEX in-dash receivers, the subwoofer setting is simply a short cut to the main crossover setting screen. The crossover settings apply to the speaker level outputs as well as the RCA outputs. For example: the HPF on the Front will apply a crossover and slope to the Front Speaker outputs and the same crossover and slope will be applied to the Front RCA outputs. I just installed W4400NEX in to my WRX 2017 limited with Harman Kardon using iDataLink Maestro RR. 2 issues I'm having: Please someone help.
    1: I couldn't retain the factory USB on the arm rest. It shows, "HUB ERROR" on the screen when I plug in the Apple lightning cable. No biggy here since I use wireless Apple Carplay anyways.
    2- This is my main problem- I can't barely hear the front speakers. Even if I use the fader to send all the signal to the front speakers, there's not too much sounds coming out front the front speakers. I double checked my connections and I did plug them correctly.
    Note: Since I am retaining the Harman Kardon amp, I don't need to hook up the speaker wires from the Pioneer main harness to the RR harness right?
    I just hooked up the front and rear RCA cables from the RR to RCA behind the Pioneer radio.

      As of 2019, Pioneer in-dash receivers do not support a USB hub or multiple connections to one USB port on the in-dash receiver.
      Are you able to hear full range audio from the rear speakers in the vehicle? What happens when you fade to the front? Do the rear speakers lower in volume? Can you hear the remote caller on a phone call? I recommend to contact Maestro tech support for more information on connections to the integration system.

    • @AREMPEE
      @AREMPEE Před 5 lety

      Deckerd Otto I figured it out if why there’s no sound coming out from the front speakers it’s bc when I removed the factory HU, the telematic unit was underneath the factory HU. The front speakers are connected to that unit. So I put it back, shoved it and hid it behind the dash, now everything works but it’s throwing bunch of error in the dash. I figured it out that one also, all the lights in the dash disappears when unplugging the OBD2 cable which is I don’t really mind not having all the gauges and whatnot. But now the problem is, back up camera no longer works. I ordered the 12-6V camera step down, hopefully that will solve the issue I’m having.

    When I try to use the rca pre outs front or rear in standard mode at the same time as using the speaker out puts, there is no signal coming from the preouts.
    If I put it on network mode, it changes the speaker outputs to network mode also. Only highs going out the speaker outputs. This does not work for me as I need to use the speaker outputs for the car factory bose system. 2009 Mazda CX-7.
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Ideally
    1; I would like to use network mode as I have after market tweeters that I have installed running on their own separate amp.
    Or 2; use standard mode keeping the speaker outputs in use for the bose system and using either the front or rear pre outs running to the separate amp for the tweeters. But no signal is coming out of them in standard mode. If I turn the unit up all the way and the gain up all the way on the amp, you can hear a faint signal. Surly I'm missing something.
    Rca connections have been checked and rechecked and the amp is a brand new pioneer 3702.
    Note: Subwoofer Pre Outs work fine
    Cheers if you can help me with this one.

      What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver?
      Please clarify your question: Are you saying, in Standard Mode, you are getting signal from the RCA outputs, until you connect a speaker to the corresponding speaker level output? And only at that time does the RCA output stop functioning? And if you disconnect the speaker, the RCA then begins to function normally again?
      It's normal operation of the receiver for the outputs, both RCA and speaker level to change with Standard Mode or Network mode.
      In Standard Mode the Front RCA outputs mirror the White and Gray speaker level outputs. And in Standard Mode the Rear RCA outputs mirror the Green and Purple speaker level outputs. This is normal operation.
      If you are not seeing simultaneous RCA output and Speaker level output from the receiver something is wrong.
      If possible, I recommend to press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. This may correct the situation.

      What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? Pioneer NEX in-dash receivers have 3 sets of RCA outputs for operating external amplifiers. You can see it here: czcams.com/video/s-RuRzsRfE8/video.html Using the RCA outputs is easy. Simply connect RCA cables from the back of the in-dash receiver directly to the amplifier. • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 Před 5 lety

      The Bluetooth Audio source on your Pioneer NEX in-dash receiver should play at or near the same volume level of other music sources such as AM/FM radio. To begin, turn the volume level on the in-dash receiver down to a low listening level. If you are using a phone to play music through Bluetooth Audio, start your music app and being to play a song. I recommend to turn up the volume on your phone to about 90%. Switch the in-dash receiver to the Bluetooth Audio Source. Adjust the volume on the in-dash receiver to the desired listening level. For some reason, my "Rear Speaker Output" remains grayed out, even when I turn the source off. The unit is in "Standard Mode". My car has a small rear subwoofer, that is not working. It seems like the "Rear Speaker Output" switched to subwoofer would be the fix, but the option stays grayed out. Anyone have an idea? It's a DMH-1500NEX

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  Před 2 lety

      Are you certain the receiver is in Standard Mode? Rear Speaker Output being grayed out usually means the receiver is in Network Mode. You can see it in this video: czcams.com/video/3t9zCiIGO7M/video.html
      Please be more specific with your question.
      Are you using the in-dash receiver's speaker level outputs or the RCA outputs to send signal to the subwoofer?
      If you are using the speaker level outputs to run the 4 speakers in your vehicle, front and rear, I recommend to use the receiver's subwoofer RCA output to send signal to the subwoofer. You can see it here: czcams.com/video/I1XFyRiTZKc/video.html
      Is the subwoofer a factory sub, or is it an after market subwoofer?
      Are you certain the subwoofer is powering up with the vehicle switched on?
      If this is a factory subwoofer, it may not be switching on or the signal may not be reaching the subwoofer.
      Please take a look at this video for switching the rear speaker output from full range to Subwoofer output: czcams.com/video/Z86fQryoRVk/video.html
      If you are certain you have the receiver set up in Standard Mode, the receiver is off, and still can't access the Rear Speaker Output menu, I recommend to press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the DMH-1500NEX on the hard key panel to the far right.

If your cousin has a Pioneer video receiver he may need to engage the vehicle's Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-On operation in order access that setting. If your cousin engages the vehicle's Parking Brake and still can't access the setting the vehicle may have an incorrect connection to the receiver's Green Parking Brake Wire.
