  • We last drove the Kia Seltos as a 2021 model, and in that time Kia has listened to feedback and improved their subcompact crossover with some great quality-of-life improvements with this facelift.

    The 2024 Kia Seltos X-Line AWD is the top-trim in Canada, but sits one trim below the SX in the US market. Our X-Line comes fully loaded, finished in the popular new Pluton Blue paint, this Seltos adds some important features we were asking for when we drove it a few years ago. The 1.6L Turbo 4 Cylinder engine gets a power increase to 195 horsepower, and retains the 195 lb-ft of torque from before. A new 8-speed automatic transmission replaces the 7-speed dual-clutch.
    Other feature additions include two driver memory buttons, a power rear lift-gate, two 10.25" displays, and updated interior and exterior styling. The X-Line is also a new trim offered, with a slightly more rugged exterior. Equipped with 18" glossy black rims, gun metal grey exterior accents, and black roof rails, the X-Line has a handsome and grown-up look to it.
    Check out our review of this vehicle and how we find it compares to the previous Seltos models we've driven.

      We didn't have any issues with ours and we'd routinely drive around with 3 passengers in it.

    I love my Neptune Blue Kia Seltos SX Turbo Canadian Version, Gonna be getting some Braelin black rims on it soon! drives good it's comfy & it drives me back home to U.S with my wife when we go on vacation love the look of it and inside & I noticed that the Canadian Versions for the SX has more power & transmission kicks in really well & to me it feels like in U.S it don't have that much power or feel fast enough. but that's how I feel my opinion lol. these cars are popular I rarely see them in Minnesota once awhile I do but not often like here in Canada. I like the sunroof feature my wife likes that a lot. & the blue tooth and airplay is cool too. only thing I find annoying with the car. is when your in cruise control and instead of keeping it on the speed limit when you get close enough to a vehicle it hits the breaks to slow down & follows the somewhat same speed as the vehicle in front of you, with my Nissan Sentra Or Kia Forte EX I didn't have this problem. so with the Seltos I would have to get out of it and pass the vehicle and then get back onto the Cruise Control. Another one is right now when you get your oil changed there is no way on getting rid of the change oil soon feature... I looked up a lot of videos or on the Kia app & it still shows which is annoying... but other then that I'm happy with it I originally was gonna for the Pluton Blue but it was a long wait so I ended up getting the Neptune Blue which is a nice color reminds me of my ol Trailblazer 2002 great color. Also the LED Lights are wonderful especially driving at night times.

    Which car between this and the Tucson would u suggest for tall drivers requiring under thigh support, cause I find that this car to have a good seat-base height to hang our legs down when seated or maybe I'm wrong.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Před 24 dny +1

      This one was surprisingly comfortable given the size. The Tucson isn't a bad option either as it is a size segment larger than this.

    I Have The Same Variant In India As Engine Being 1.5NA
    But I'm Thinking To Raise Suspension Height By 1 to 1.5 Inch
    How do you think It's gonna look. Ofcourse The Ride's Gotta Improve.
    I'm more worried about the outlook of the car, can you please help me?

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Might raise the centre of gravity a bit too much, but could be worth a shot. I imagine it would be better for rougher terrain in your area?

    • @sharvajoshi
      @sharvajoshi Před 2 měsíci

      @@PRNTestDrive we don't have core rough terrains in this region though, Its mainly about ground clearence being 190mm is just not enough, so there are two options to lift, one is suspension lifting which might go against warranty , other is car stablizer kit between the springs to achieve lift. what would you prefer, I'm worried about both ride quality and outlook ( road presence )

    Whats your experience with the fuel economy on L/100KM? Ive had mine for about a month now, driving in smart mode and noticed I've been getting much higher usage than whats the standard based off all my research. Driving around in the GTA/highways and averaging about 11.4 L/100KM which seems much higher than what it should be.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Před 8 měsíci +2

      We’ve driven about 4,700 kms on the Seltos so far and the trip computer says we’ve averaged 8.5L/100km. I strongly recommend not using Smart mode. We keep it in normal drive mode.

      @tiredofthisshieeet Před 8 měsíci

      @PRNTestDrive thank you for the reply. I'll switch to normal and monitor my fuel consumption. I'm still around 750km so I'll make note over the next 1000 or so

      In my ‘24 Seltos SX Turbo this winter I’ve been getting 11l/100km in smart and sport mode, normal mode will get you 6-8l/100km. The cold temp plus climate control being on also adds to it so looking forward to summer. Also this is with snow tyres on too.

    Over there how come you guys don't have a panaromic sunroof even on the top model?
    Here in India, we start getting that from the 4th model off total 7 models.

      well we dont get AWD

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Před 8 měsíci

      It's likely as @Drake-xc2qd mentioned, in order for Kia to meet a certain price point they opted not to add a pano roof.

    Love my ‘24 SX Turbo in Steel Grey, much sharper looking than this xline, which looks like a toy to me.

      So far these seem to be pretty popular, I'm spotting a lot of Pluton Blues on the road so far!
