In this video I spend an unnecessary amount of time designing, planning and building an entire metro system to build in minecraft...but only manage to complete one of the lines!

i make metro systems in my minecraft builds, and they're heavily inspired by the vancouver skytrain, stations are medium size and minecarts work in the station and can conjoin together, the rail is either elevated or on ground, and stations are simple but complex

I build Delta lines in craftsman craftsman is like minecraft but its 6 stops for the delta line Brentwood north depot,Brentwood north center,Guilford Avenue,cambie st Chinatown,Delta line museum,delta.

I've been planning on building a metro system for my World. Probably only have one big main station since I'm doing it in survival and a bunch of little stations in which to exit/leave. You've given me a whole load of inspiration dude. I'm even gonna make a railway map using map art to scatter around the stations once I've planned out the layout

I am making theoretical metro for university project, was looking for metro building videos and got recommended yours. I wish I would have enough patience to build my plan in minecraft for research purposes. The end result looks so much fun ^^
Yeah it is really fun to construct :D
What I did was use the /fill and /clone commands for all the Boring parts e.g. tunnels I could copy and paste, and then build the stations off blueprints I'd made, that's the fun part

@@AlwaysAlexYT To be honest, I haven't played minecraft for past 9 years so I would need to re-learn everything lol I plan to do it one day anyway but it's not today :D
The course is called project management and my group choose to build a metro as our project so as team's engineer I have to do schemes of how metro would look like and how it would function (I am still learning). The course can get pretty exhausting because it requires to analyze and calculate every aspect of the project a lot.

But wow thar project management course seems pretty intense haha, and to do a metro as your Choice is really interesting!!

OMG I love metro/tube/underground/subway-related Minecraft videos and have been searching for one (other than Flashteens massive subway system) for so long! I crave things like these to be in my Minecraft world but they are just too complex xD Anyway, I´m gonna try to build something for once because I´ve been fascinated by underground travelling and transport since my visit in London 2 years ago. Underrated channel definitely imo.

I’m building a metro system in Minecraft with 3 lines in operation. I even planned a circle line that will have 29 stations, the longest I ever built. So far, my system has 34 stations in operation.

Honestly if you want a good metro system then go to the channel Flashteen Chiang but in my opinion use station designs based on irl

You need to use minecraft transit railway. A mod what can do anything with trains like lines, automatic platform doors,escalators,station name signs, cool automatic train. Just anything you need!
But only java
Ooh haven't heard of that mod but imma deffo have to give that a try! Signs and all sounds great. I've switched to java now and there's so much more u can do with it mod wise haha
You can also trams to the city.

Oh yea a bunch of people have done it too, I have a couple friends irl who Also did haha! this was a project I did to kill time during covid and decided to make a vid on it all as I was pretty happy with it :)

you should definitely use the worldedit mod for this build it makes building much easier (if you get java mc)
That's a good point actually! I'm hoping to get java soonish and try see if I can transfer everything into java :)
If you do get Java, you should definitely try out the Transit Railways mod. Not only does it add working trains, but also a bunch of other things like automatic doors that open when the train arrvies, escalators, travelvators, working train signals, and much more!

@@PeterWaltStudentProductions you should give it a go! What I do is I look up the station from different angles, if Street view exists id use that, and helps create a plan to build it
@@AlwaysAlexYT I Probably Will but i cant build it on Xbox One or Minecraft Pocket Edition because of the bottom limit, plus making a train station like yours would take me a long time.

I have built a metro system too. I started in July and I have built 2 lines and suburban railway. I think that's pretty cool. I am going to build other lines too

so I just drew it all in Photoshop! There are other drawing apps u can use that are free, such as FireAlpaca

They're around 80 blocks long for the metro :)

Currently I haven't got any trains apart from some static ones However I'm looking at some possible methods I could use :)
If you play on Java 1.16, you can add working trains using the Immersive Railroading mod.
Funny you say that! I've got java now and I've been considering getting the mod :)
I think Transit Railways is better though, since it adds modern, metro trains instead o Immersive Railroading's older steam and diesel locomotives. It also adds a bunch of other transit-relate blocks and items like escalators.

I don't see why not! I's java compatible now, in fact I work in java instead of bedrock however still got bits to complete so once finished could make it available:)

Bro you should add the create mod with its Addons so that you can make and automate actual metro trains. Then with another add on you could even have a live map!

This isnt an insult but did you use microsoft paint to make the metro map. If not waht did you use to make the map.
Nah so I used FireAlpaca, it's another paint software but has more features, and then used Photoshop to add the text :)

Kind of off-topic here but do u like China's HSR? U seem pretty interested in trains,and those are magnificient inventions.
I don't know too much about their system, but to me it is fascinating, they've got so many miles of high speed track and have managed to get it done in such a short time! From what I understand a lot of it is maglev which is even cooler

On Console you can go back to the old version and edit the superflat so its 50 blocks deep and then go back to the new version and convert it
