I love your videos... have been watching since your 3rd or 4th vid... Did Andy Moore ever send you the 1973 Ohio licence plate w/ DG on them... @ Norwalk raceway I personally gave you a licence plate... but I had given plates to Andy that had DG on them and also for the ex convict that now helps disadvantaged youths and for Steff... Jamestown, NY Cummins Engine plant. Close enough to Canada 🇨🇦?
Great video, guys! It was a pleasure having you at our shop!
I'm an abrams tank maintainer but i don't think my workplace will be cool with that 😂😂
I work for Doherty couplers and attachments. New Zealand. And our welds are way better. I would be ashamed of what they do.
Stayed tuned for the 12v swapped claw
Love seeing the behind the scenes stuff of production, definitely make more of these!
I don't know what I'd do with one but I want one.
As a boy I grew up around mines, which sparked a love for machinery. As a mechanic I still still love it but find myself looking more at how it works and how it was built. I always find myself slightly frustrated with tv shows on the topic as it’s dumbed down and not in depth enough for me. THIS Episode knocked it out of the park! I look forward to more videos like this! Keep up the good work!
Must have been an explosive childhood.......oh you mean mines as in coal mines etc....my mistake
"Hello I would like my ship unloaded"
"Can't, my grapple hook is running a regen"
Brilliant, 😂😂 fucking hate dpfs
First off. That ain’t dpf equipeed most likely and second of a you can operate as normal under regen
@@davidb1089 First, at 4:11 you can clearly see the DPF and DEF doser valve. Second, it was a joke.
AVEs new unboxing machine at 12:30.
Skookum as frig!
😂😂😂
TIME!
AVEs sucks all he does is complaining an swearing
@@samsmh9644 You sir are clearly not capable of appreciating the finer things in life. Most of AvE's references must go right over your head.
The F4.5 Cummins would make an awesome powerplant for a small truck. Maybe years from now the grapples will start hitting the scrap yard. Keep on the lookout for one!
Love it! Some forestry machines would be cool!
I agree. I would love to see them go over any of Rayco's machines
THATS MY BUDDIES FAMILY THAT MAKES THEM! I LIVE 20 MINUTES AWAY. they make a mean excavator bucket aswell i use a gradall bucket they made on an 8 ton cat to dig pools
I love how the Rode mics can be clipped quickly to a someone. Great job on the audio!
Really nice to see Canadian industry is still alive
I've done some work for Bateman in the past and can attest that their shop is generally very clean and well kept. I know some of the employees and they are great people. It was good to see so much of the materials and products used are Canadian sourced and made. Thanks to Rich and the Deboss crew for highlighting great locally manufactured products.
#supportlocalbusinesses
Love our Canuck brothers, all the best from Australia 🇦🇺 💪
Kinda disappointed you didn't try to pick up a cup of Timmy's and a bear claw with it.
or a loony
We know what Rich wants for Christmas.
Very cool to see a shop thta is making things like this. Pretty specialty so very interesting. That is a bunch of welding.
Wow, not only is the Cummins powered claw awesome, these guys make a ton of stuff I have always wondered “where’d that come from?” Like the wood cutting lumber claw. Awesome stuff!!
12:37 That's a Hultdins saw. For my Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering I developed something similar to this, except we only bought saw itself (without case, oil reservoir...) I designed everything to connect it to a grapple, most pain in the ass thing was to fit all the control valves in it since we also added hydraulic pressure booster to get some more pressure for grabbing stuff (safety valve after it was set to 400 bar).
Great video, kinda makes me want to send it to the company I worked for at that time to see how good can grapple production be organised.
Let us know if you are looking for a job!!
@@jasonmcneil7551 I would love to work designing something like this full time! There is only one problem, I am from Europe, how is immigration policy in Canada?
That's awesome! I can't wait to see more #HowItsMade videos!
Love it, realistic walk through. You guys are interested in the stuff that we are and it shows. Keep these up because where else are we gonna find info of these oddball companies haha
Love the peak at how things are made, especially from places that put food on the table of locals. It’s also nice for people to be aware of what cool things happen around them without them realizing it.
13:55 what’s a metal shop without some Bon Jovi.
this was very cool. very refreshing format for this video, really enjoyed it.
I did HVAC work at their parent company's plant in Victoriaville, GRYB. Awesome stuff to see get put together, they had the craziest bender I've seen to make the bottom of the buckets. Everybody there from the owner to the welders were awesome.
What's really incredible is the relatively small ring that holds the weight of the claw + everything it picks up.
Jesus keep makin them lads. Highlight of CZcams.
Keep this type of video coming,I'm a huge fan of the History Channel "How it's made" and this video you posted is awesome, thanks. PS: I like the fact that almost everything made at Bateman is in house, keeping the locals employed is always a good thing.
WELDING SHOP TOUR! super interested in seeing more of this style video. ANY-thing industrial.
Great tour. Hope you keep getting invited to places like this to show us how it's done.
It's really nice to see the pride they take in their workmanship and environment.
Good job Rich!
Great to see a company so rightly proud of their products, very interesting to see how they are made.
"And it's Cummins powered so that's pretty cool!"
Me: What's cool about that?
Me: Oh the actual grapple itself is Cummins powered... Didn't realize it had its own motor. 🤣
This series is like How It's Made but for car guys, instead of a broad general audience. You even sounded like the narrator at the end asking about ideas. 😂
Great tour, love this "Made in Canada" stuff as well as the walk through the combine and scrap handler. Keep em coming please. Tx for this one.
Make a cummins factory tour. It could be fun, like a "kid on candy store".
More of these episodes please! It's better than tv!
Anyone else notice the full emissions system on the engine? Imagine holding up the ship because your claw has to run a regen lol
Yeahy sweet old Deutz engine 👍🏻👌🏻 please more of that👍🏻
Probably my favorite deboss video so far
Cool to see the inside of Bateman. I was supposed to do an interview but the supervisor was away on emergency. Hopefully they reschedule.
I work for a logging contractor/forestry products distributor/truck shop. They tried out a few of these Bateman log grapples and I wasn’t very impressed. One of them had the grapple portion break clean off from the knuckle/rotation bearing at the weld. And the main grapple pin was a two part pin that wasn’t bored straight and had no grease clearance. They also ordered a pin on thumb for a Volvo excavator and that ended up needed the pin bosses on the thumb needed to be cut out and rewelded so it would clear the end of the excavator stick boom and then line bored to make it straight again. Luckily my boss was an in house fabricator that could handle all that.
More factory tours like this please!
It's so great to see manufacturing done here in North America. This operation is really amazing to see. My hat is off to our Canadian friends building this quality equipment. Nice job Bateman. Thanks for the tour!
I am a tug captain. In Port Newark NJ. These are used by the longshoremen to load the scrap from my barge into the ship's hold. They still use a tray to load from shore to the ship, they are cheap and never break down.
do more of these. these are essentially bite size how its made shows. i like learning and understanding how these things are made and seeing these huge claws be made piece by piece is just outstanding
I love these old Deutz Diesel engines! 😍
Just up my ally man, love to see Canadian made stuff.
I work around heavy equipment some of the biggest cranes on earth and this thing is insane. Impressive
10:35 that protection panel has a face cut out in it. 😱 lol
Never seen one like this before. Hell of a piece of machinery. 🤜🇬🇧🇨🇦
Awesome video of a proud Canadian company! Well done
I love seeing local manufacturing. it is amazing what is made locally
Definitely worth the time to watch. Thanks for sharing.
This is a nice video, it is very nice to see the inside off company's that make the pieces, that make the world turn around.
Keep them coming .
I love the how it’s made type videos, When I was driving truck I used to go in and out of these cool little shops toiling away making the things that keep our world working.
Always good to be 'owt' visiting other locations especially then heavy stuff...Cheers Rich..
Awesome videos please make more of this educating the youth and promoting business cant beat that god bless brother
pretty darn cool to see heavy fab work like that thank you
I always love a "Field Trip" Thanks for giving me a visit to see someone's manufacturing process.
Definitely love this type of video! Showing off the back bone to the industry! It’s always cool to see how things are made and the mind set of these companies!
Great video, thanks for making it! Good to see so much of thier end product comes from locally made components too.
I really enjoy these kind of videos! Thank you for taking the time to make them!
You guys gotta head down to the Oshkosh/Pierce factory in Wisconsin. I was up there to finalize a fire engine build. The factory is incredible they build everything with the exception of the drivetrain, pumps, lights and tanks. And the entire thing just rolls down the assembly line, custom ordered fire engines.
Holy sh*t. I did not know such a thing existed but makes sense for those wired cranes. Thanks for showing.
Love seeing new things.
Love these videos!!! Please do more!!!
I like. This is better than how it’s made on cable tv
Great format! Keep them coming.
More! I love it. This place is all basically local to the canada and the states and they are super proud of it and should be. Need to have more manufacturing here.
Your videos are too cool excellent viewing my friend can’t wait for Sundays thank you very much the deboss garage
Definitely enjoy seeing things like this. Keep it coming!
Very cool video. Great to see production processes.
Monster Tools! WOW!
Coolest industrial piece and process I have seen👍👍
Loved this video and looking forward to seeing more like it. It's great to see what's out there in Ontario.
Keep up the good work! Your videos are awesome to watch as always.
Oh man, i'm SOOOO disappointed you didn't have any video of these grapples doing WORK !!! Come on guys !!!!
Heck yea . Nice going Bateman. Love seeing a real co. That does it all in house
Man I am still grappling with the size of that thing!
Loved the video!!!!
Great video. I like the casual and informative shop tour style!
Good walk through. Thanks.
You should check Maclean’s Engineering in Collingwood. They make some pretty cool mining equipment, and mostly Cummins powered!
I must say getting to see all of this really reinforces purchasing decisions and Company standbys.
Looks like I found where I'm putting in my next job application
Keep em coming. Very cool video
Thats some place some cool gear . Its allways nice to visit manufacturing plants very educational .
Them welds are just stunning so gorgeous @DGHD
That ONE weld I will show to anyone who complains they can't cover something with a single bead.

Enjoyed the video, great production skills. Almost like real TV.
Been a huge fan of this channel for a while now. I absolutely love this new series! Hopefully seeing more in the future!
Brilliant, please keep these coming!
They need to install these on every arcade machine!
Super enjoyable. Love this type of content! Well done!
