i found a video from 3 years ago just now tonight in my recommended and was convinced you were gone, came back to find that *when the world needed him most, he returned*
Chris had plenty of time to react but didn't. Which is unfortunate but can happen; 1) Other car still had plenty of room to move over 2) Other car didn't even adjust speed So even though Chris messed up, the other driver also messed up. Enough people mess up, just enough and you have collisions :(

I can't really judge the width of the street on the video but if it's to narrow to pass for two cars isn't the one on whose lane is blocked supposed to wait? Also looks like the other guy had some more space to his left to dodge though.
Despite what everyone else here is saying. Even if you go to the other side like in this vid and stop(to a halt which didnt happen here) other person is held responsible. Right now im not so sure and perhaps it would be best to cut losses and get a new mirror yourself

I think he meant didn't stop to check for damage as one is supposed to after a collision
That's your own fault, you had time to see the approaching car and stay within your side of the carriageway. And the duck isn't helping.
This guy is just a bad driver. Blaming others for his mistakes. But hey, he might have saved 10 seconds on his trip if this maneuver had gone right!
