- The journey to the Titlis is truly an adventure in itself. First take the TITLIS Xpress gondola to the middle station, then continue your journey in the TITLIS Rotair, the world’s first revolving cable car, all the way to the top.
At 3,062 metres, the summit offers not only a breathtaking 360° panorama of the wide Engelberg valley but also a view straight down into the abyss, with countless crevasses carved into the glacial ice.
Things get really cool at the upper station, where a 150-metre-long artificial glacier cave cuts straight into the heart of the Titlis Glacier. The ceiling is covered in ice crystals, the glacial ice shimmers a mysterious blue, and crevasses open up in the roof. If you’re thinking of stepping inside the ice, be sure to wrap up warm, as the temperature under the 20-metre-thick glacier never gets above -1°C!
There are a host of fun activities on top of the glacier, too, such as the Ice Flyer glacier chairlift or the glacier park. Crossing the glacier and climbing to the summit is a special experience - naturally only under the supervision of a mountain guide.

I can't believe this was in the same town we stayed it. The tour company we went with had us stay in Engelberg, but we only saw Pilatis. Engelberg is itself a beautiful town, but now I have to go back to see this area too. Another great video.

I need to go back next summer it was very cloudy up there at mt titlis
I went up Mt. Titlis about 20 years ago and got lucky that it was clear skies and could see 50 km. I heard someone comment that they have never seen it that clear before.
I hope to go back with clear sky next year

Nice - The entire region is covered extensively by Google Earth 3D photogrammetry and can be viewed in a VR headset. One of my favorite things to do is simulate the cable car rides just below the cables like you filmed. The sense of reality in 3D is stunning. I have found about 300 different locations around the world where that can be done. It's fun to do on certain ski lifts too. The nearby Dolomites are well covered that way too.
