"4k is not a requirement" THANK GOD! Someone finally said it 😂 I've been feeling the same on this and thought I was the only one. It NEEDS to be more powerful than the base Switch (duh) but it does NOT need to be a powerhouse to be good/successful. I agree with your expectations too. Stable framerates and better resolution, especially docked. Even BETTER if that can be applied to backwards compatible games.
4k for TV 2k for PC Monitor 1080p for handheld Everything else is an overkill. I only play switch in handheld. For docked maybe they should try upscaling or something.
Let me explain why we do need 4K..., Me and the other 50% of switch users don't like playing switch handhell because we usually we have decent TVs like my 65" Oled on my room, and believe me that the pixels there are incredibly obvious and painful to see...
Nice video. I like your presentation style. "4k is not a requirement" Completely agree here. Stable 1080P at 30 or 60 fps, depending on what the game targets, would be awesome. Anything more is just luxury IMO.
Many points you went into were 'semi'-confirmed through the rumoured parts, that are being shipped Bigger Joy-cons, Screen, heck even a fan for the dock? To me it looks like, Nintendo really stepped up their game Let's just hope, that they fix the network-infrastructure
4K is NOT a requirement Thank you! Yes, the console mast be significantly more powerful to be able to handle the games. As of now, 3A games that get on Switch just have the graphics turned on low. I recently played It Takes Two and it was visually discomforting. But a game CAN look gorgeous on 1080p. Look at MK8, or Elden Ring, or Spider-Man. You can watch gameplay on a 1080p screen and they look amazing! 4K isn't worth it. Welcome addition I guess, but I would hate it if the trade would be 50-100€ more to the end price of the console.
Hear me out : A secondary screen While docked it works like the gamepad but with the joycons that are provided in with the console. While in portable mode it can conect to the switch's charging port and functions like a bigger DS. I dont know how you could close thet hing without an accessory provided with the "gamepad" or it would have a funny shape. Some games would have no real value with a double screen but those that worked realy well with it in the DS, 3DS and wiiU days could have a dualscreen mode with some funtionalities like an interactive map for splatoon or a menu thats active at all times for zelda or xenoblade games. And that would also make DS or even some wiiU games ports possible like kidicarus uprising without needing to make a lot of changes.
The switch 2 really needs a free built-in game that shows off the consoles features, and since Nintendo is ending support for twitter/x maybe they can bring miiverse or something similar back
I want video recording but we will see. As for heavy hitters I think Prime 4 may be that. The thing about launch is you should be thinking launch window not launch day. Mario Kart, Smash Bros would be the obvious heavy hitters.
I very much would appreciate games with sub par performance on Switch get updated performance. Oh, poor Age of Calamity... you deserve so much better 😢
What I would like to see in the next Nintendo console. - A better, smaller dock. - The placement of the Select button - this button is small and blocked by the joystick. - Adaptive triggers for new joycons or a new pro controller with adaptive triggers like on the PS5 Dualsense controller - Better HD rumble - Magnetic joysticks to prevent joystick drift - M.2 Mini SSD storage - A better menu with customizable wallpapers, customizable folders and customizable sounds, like we had on 3ds but this time with our own pictures. They did nothing for the current nintendo switch. - More power and better graphics power because the latest games on Nintendo Switch are blurry, low graphics, no details, disgusting, lag.. - A faster eShop, sometime the eshop take ages to load. - faster download, game took ages to download a game. I think, there will be 2 nintendo direct left for this year, one in june 2024 and another probably around november 2024. In june will be for big games, big studios and around november will be an indie world. The last Nintendo direct for June 2024, I think they will announce more remasters and probably an announcement for one last big game like Nintendo usually does at the end of their console's life. I think they will announce metroid prime 4, coming at the end of the year 2024, retro compatible switch 2 with 4K patch or HD patch. I think Nintendo will give us a complete presentation of the next switch between september to november 2024 for a release in March 2025. Is it possible they release the next console on March 10? March 10 (Mar10) it's the Mario Day.
I think if they do add 4K, most games won't be played in them. Kinda like how the switch is 1080p. But a lot of demanding games are played at 720p/900p. All I want from the switch 2 is TOTK in 1080p60, docked.
I have had my generation 1 Switch since 2018 and my joycons are fine despite not even owning a pro controller. I really don’t understand what the problem is.
No idea if you're joking, but I would happily challenge you to tell me exactly what is "racist" about this character without revealing your own reliances on stereotypes.
Oasis will be so dead better, at least 1080p or 1440p in handheld and 1440p or 2180p in dock. (I call it oasis coz well… sounds like a Nintendo-y codename to me)
I do the Twitter sometimes too, and like asking for feedback there sometimes, maybe you will take a look? :3

I think people forget that 4K is 4 times the amount of pixels of 1080p. Not worth it at all for a portable console imo.
Yeah, I think 1440p DLSS at 60fps would be very good already. Maybe 1080p for open world games.
4k for TV
2k for PC Monitor

@@Lordoziom according to rumors, they are.

I think they should definitely make a third 1-2 Switch game and sell it for $70 at launch.
Absolutely.
The sequel that no one asked for sold horribly even by a switch standards! I think Nintendo is gonna try something else!
Many points you went into were 'semi'-confirmed through the rumoured parts, that are being shipped

Ayo, shoutouts to Xenoblade Chronicles X ! :D
I would die for you Torque

They can make the bezel of the tablet much more thinner.
I want video recording but we will see.

Mario Kart, Smash Bros would be the obvious heavy hitters.
I personally mainly want a solid launch lineup that takes advantage of the advantages of the Switch 2 while being great games overall
I very much would appreciate games with sub par performance on Switch get updated performance. Oh, poor Age of Calamity... you deserve so much better 😢

The dock may be bigger, as it may require cooling in docked mode.

It has nothing to do with build quality it’s a design flaw, everything could be built with diamonds and it would still drift.
I think if they do add 4K, most games won't be played in them. Kinda like how the switch is 1080p. But a lot of demanding games are played at 720p/900p. All I want from the switch 2 is TOTK in 1080p60, docked.
Just a reminder. Nintendo also said the June direct will NOT feature any news regarding the Switch successor. So don't get your hopes up for that.
Awesome video! I actually do agree with all your points, thank you for making into a video :)
Awesome descriptive discussion about this switch 2
I would want a Switch dock with a built in Mclassic. (Should allow better graphics)
Cool video. I hope you grow and find your niche.
Woah my game looks so fun!
Yay finally new video!
I give backwards compatibility a 95% chance of happening. It’s essentially all but confirmed at this point.
They should 100% give the new joy cons a more controller-like curvature; even if it diminishes tabletop mode. Wgaf
Let's talk about the steamy deck... dock.
I have had my generation 1 Switch since 2018 and my joycons are fine despite not even owning a pro controller.
I really don’t understand what the problem is.
Virtual console>>>>NSO by a million miles.
I agree but I want my games from nso allso... and I want all my games from the wii...
Good video!! 👍
underrated channel
