I don't know how you fix carbon fiber, but I know Gorilla glue is the wrong tool for this. It is foaming urethane glue. It foams less than spray foam insulation and foams more than straight clear
polyurethane coat (which obviously does not foam). The basic substance is very close though. The foaming effect is good when the glue needs to fill large gaps (with gas!) but I don't think having gas in your repair is your goal here.

Man, just use clear epoxy. It would have made your job 100 times easier, and it is what they use to laminate the carbon fibre anyway.

it's the gel gorilla glue rather than the super glue!
