Get a bath each night and morning too. Use selsun blue shampoo as body wash. Buy foot fungus that has clotrimazole 1% at walmart and apply to the area. You should see your skin clear and clean with in 3 months and you must continue to keep your skin dry by taking a bath each night with that shampoo. I had this symptoms for years and i used this and i wanted to help

Can Tinea versicolor occur from insect bites or something? cause this particular infection spreaded more after scratching..As much as i remember there was just a small red patch which i thought was from a normal insect bite but then it grew bigger and sometimes it used to become very dry and scaly and then ultimately it started to become white while i thought that it was healing,IT WAS NOT...After consulting the doc and continuing with the medications for now it doesn't irritates or doesn't becomes itchy now the area which was dry is becoming smooth...One more question as my infection was spreading before the medications I also noticed small white dotes which sort of looked like as if they were connecting so is it normal??

I noticed I have had little white patches in the center of my left forearm when I was 10 years old. That slowly spread in the same area. Around 28, 29 I started to loose a lot hair. Noticed that patches growing up to my shoulder to neck and left side of my chest close to upper arm and also left side of my head. The growth wasn’t wide spread instead narrow. I’m 35 now but I’ve patches all over my hand and upper arm and half of head(left side) and also my face(on the left side). My scalp is itching me so bad. Lost a lot of hair on the left. When I shave my scalp , the next couple of days itching me like crazy. Ive used after shave treatments for long time but it is good only for couple hours to 1 day then start itching again even after applying it. I’ve also used anti fungal and Anti dandruff, ketoconazole shampoo, hydrocortisone including apple cider vinegar with some other home remedies to name few but no effect so far. I’ve been hospital few times in the past but I was told this doesn’t have any side effect despite the fact it is spreading. The doctor prescribed hydrocortisone cream to apply but that didn’t stop the patches from spreading. I hope there is treatment for white patches
