All of the vests are so cute! I am disabled, and bisexual and I love the pride vest! All of the different themes and patches made me smile, they’re awesome. ☺️
YES GIRL!!! you are literally my inspiration on why arlo wears pink now! when i first got him i always dressed him in blue and “boy colors” and people still called him a girl so i just gave up. i started having him wear what i want and i’m much happier and he is too! i also think gear is a wear to express yourself. dogs can only see shades of blue and yellow so they don’t even know they are wearing pink!
Love it!!! Let boys where pink!!! They do not have to be limited to blue or red, go with whatever floats your boat!
I get the opposite! 😂 My service dog is a female Border Collie who’s colour theme is centred around blue and greys. She is CONSTANTLY assumed to be a male simply because her name is “Remmi” and her gear is in pastel blue.
Honestly, handlers should be allowed to use whatever colour they wish to use on their dog without judgement. Assuming pink is automatically a feminine colour is an imbedded assumption that ONLY humans make. Dogs don’t think that blue is for boys and pink is for girls

@@Carlie_flower My Border Collie wears a black tactical vest from One Tigris with some passive aggressive patches on it from time to time 😂, it’s easily the time that she’s most commonly mistaken for a male
I’ve had 2 of my male dogs outside in a frilly pink dress with a pink hoodie over it lol

LOVE THIS! Your set up is incredible! I get judged quite a bit for having my dogs whole collection colour coordinated and always having her in uniquely themed sets etc.
All of her things are colour co-ordinated into light blue themes with neutral shades (black, grey, white etc). She also has lots of themed patches/vests/capes.
Having her gear all matching, pretty and coordinated makes me really happy for some reason 😅. I also think it’s a great way to express both yourself, your interests and your dog’s personality!
Also, male dogs can absolutely wear pink! Pink being associated as a feminine colour is a unique internalised concept that ONLY humans think about. Animals don’t care about these social constructs.
My dog always wears pastel blues and SHE is constantly called a male. That’s not my problem. I know she’s a girl, people who ask her gender know she’s a girl. Other people’s assumptions are not my issue. Myself and many others love my dogs gear and I get lots of compliments on it which makes me really happy! If someone assumes she’s a boy just because she’s wearing pastel blue then it’s really not a big deal! I’ll usually just throw the pronoun she into the conversation and they’ll correct themselves. My dogs name is also “Remmi” which people constantly confuse as a male name too which doesn’t help 😂. Dress your dog however you wish to dress them! I LOVE seeing other handlers with incredible gear setups, it think it’s super cute and lots of people have TV show / Movie themed patches which gives you an idea of their interests and it’s a great conversation starter!

Like, if I want to put my male dog in pastels and glitter I will, because he literally couldn’t care less about what he’s wearing lol. I can wear pink or feminine clothes if I want, & so can my dog. 🤷♂️ I’ve been looking for inspiration for a new pastel set recently and I definitely have it now after watching this 😂💖💕

My SD wears green. Wesley wears anywhere from lime green-bright mint green to dark green. He’s a yellow Labrador retriever. He’s a mobility service dog. The only gear I have for him is his BLD mobility harness, a cape that attaches to it with patches, a couple collars, a couple leashes and boots.
I feel like green must look beautiful
I aspire to have this much gear for my psd dog when I get them in a few years, also handles with soft material on them is such a good idea! I never thought about that before
Random fact I found online… pink used to be a “boy” color and blue was a “girl” color I believe in England…
I love this! If I could I would! I’ve been considering a gear tour but I have two harnesses and two vests so it’ll be fairly minimalist. The floral stuff is to die for 🥰 I gotta get on that.

The knit on the fabric gear looks really nice. I’m someone who is somewhat sensitive to multiple things and worse rn is fabric knits so while I personally am looking at gear for my first service dog who has 4 pawsible names 2 for each gender I’m paying attention to how it will feel especially since they will be carrying medication as they will be a diabetic alert dog as well as minor psychiatric task for when my sensitivity is bad.

My next service dog is going to be a male Doberman but he’s still gonna be in pink... haha 😂
EDIT: service dogs can also be fully off leash if the leash interferes with there task(s)
My girl is always off leash, sometimes she’s not, or sometimes we use traffic leads, but on bad days she’s completely off leash.

We also have an among us vest before they said it wasn't allowed. That's why we never post about it
I have a girl.
And half of her gear is blue.
I hate the color pink. (No offense to anyone, just not a color for me).
But I love the color blue.
So she got a lot of blue gear.
I also have a pocketed bandana as well that I hand made.
It's a Christmas plaid one, with black flannel on the back.
With just 1 service dog, emergency info inside patch on it.
Reason I made it, and made it Christmas, was because just this past December I had surgery on my left hand/wrist.
And so wasn't going to be able to get her whole harness and cape in her.
So I used the bandana and it just slips over her head.
So that way she still had something on her, as well as we still had some of our emergency items.
I have been looking at what to get because I have 3 autistic kids who I am thinking of getting service dogs for.
I love pastels and cutesy looks and when looking into my next SD I was wanting a girl though I prefer males because of the mentioned cutesy looks but gave up on that idea for the same reason you mentioned. Bows and pastels are going on my pup regardless! 😅
Okay. As a bisexual that loves all things cheesy and fun, I'm LIVING for all the bi puns. I think this really does mean I need a bi-theme set-up for my dog. Love that wall painting so much as well almost as much as I love the lack of gender norms. I'm of the opinion that if people are gonna notice me and my dog, we are gonna look good too so bring on all the cute fun gear. So your collection is goals and your joy is infectious. =D
You def need a fun bi set up! I actually recently discovered I’m pan so I got an entire new set up that really fits who I am and identify as! I love gear as a fun expression! People are going to state might as well give them something fun to look at! And heck yeah we don’t do gender norms here let’s break those all day long! I couldn't use traditional red because it's too alarming of a color for my brain, I have to use cool colors like blue and purple so I don't trigger myself 😅

Hi there! Thank you so much for reaching out and commenting! First of all it’s not the gear that makes a service dog so no matter what gear you use you are valid! In fact I use several Amazon vests because some days they are what’s convenient and work best! But if you are looking for some cheaper brands - under 100 you can check out DapperDoodCo for their harnesses which are lovely in quality, active dogs wear has some great stuff, and also check Facebook for used gear for sale sometimes and it can be great finds!

I have a German Shepherd guide dog, and the only gear I use on him besides his harness, leash, and collar are a couple of Ruffwear jackets, boots, and socks. But I know people who have all kinds of cool custom gear. I also agree with you about not supporting gender norms; that's never made any sense to me. All of my dog's gear are neutral but that's just because I'd rather dedicate my fashion creativity to me. What's wrong with dressing a boy dog in pink or flowery colors? As you said, the dog doesn't care. Ugh some HUMANS!

i dont mean to intrude but what are some tasks he does to help you with your migraines if he does help? I have 2 different types and am looking to get my first service dog this fall after my 18th birthday I want to make sure that he has the right training from me and hopefully later on from a professional to aid to my migraine and how they affect me
I will def be making a video that goes over some of his tasks and how they work for me! I can't for sure say these traits or tasks will be exactly what you need, and I am not qualified to give any training advice, but maybe it can give you an idea of some things you may need to want your future service dog to do for you

Can i have some advice on how to ask mydoctor for a service dog because i have horrible anxiety and have so other issues that i will not say and i would like to get a service dog to help with that but i just don't know how to ask my doctor i am also doing this behind my parents back because if i sak anything about my mental heath i get told that i just want attention but everything i say is true so i am just stuck and am stressed about telling my parents and my doctor so please drop some advice in the comments and reply to me so that i see it Thank you
Hi! I totally understand your worries, my advice is that you could ask your parents if they could leave the room (or not) and simplify ask for something to help with anxiety. If your parents give you pushback you can just tell them that you just want to know what your doctor has to say. If the doctor doesn't give the option of a service dog, nor gives a better solution, say, "What about service dog, I did some research and belive that would help me a ton, thanks." Hopefully that helps!

You don’t need custom gear Unless you have mobility tasks such as forward momentum!!
Not true. Not every dog fits just any sizing chart of gear, and not alot of people like premade vests/harnesses.
I do custom gear? Yes I do guide but I like cute shit and my dog awkward shapes
By law, NO service dog HAS to wear any labelling that states that the dog is a service dog. Dogs that do mobility tasks wear harnesses so that they can perform their tasks as the handler usually needs to hold onto a handle however this does not have to be customised gear. It could be just any safe, standard harness that includes a handle.
Lots of service dog handlers however choose to have custom gear. Simply because they want custom phrases, want to express their interests on their dogs gear, want their dogs gear to be colour coordinated etc!
Wether you have custom gear or not, if your dog is a legitimate service dog, you are absolutely a valid handler! If your dog is wearing an $80 custom setup or a $10 Amazon vest, if it is task trained and under control it is absolutely valid. Gear doesn’t define wether a service dog is legitimate or not ☺️
SO with you on the gender norm stuff!! Nothing inherently has a gender associated with it, until people decide that it does. Colours are literally different wavelengths of light, and I’m 100% certain that light doesn’t have a gender.
I find it so weird that people r weird with ur boy dog wearing colors. I have a girl and have every color gear u can think but our normal gear is pink and green and most people think she's a boy. I don't understand society 😪
