Justice for Hwoarang and Paul for having the same generic ki charge, at least the bears have some form of variety through their paws being ready for combat
Other than that, finally some good sound design for each character (i.e. Jun's bling, King's fire, Paul's explosions)
Let's hope they fix this in the next patch.
Paul's ki charge makes sense for him. Not so much for Hwo

My favourite part about Ki Charges is seeing everyone's unique particle effects popping up around them.
Shaheen literally doing the "Oh? You're Approaching Me?" Dio Pose complete with the line (kinda).

what the heck is a ki charge???
i haven't played a tekken since 2 and picked up 8 this past launch weekend. so this is new.
i played through main story and the arcade quest tutorial-ish story, and no where did this stuff come up.
i did notice doing this animation a couple of times early on in my button mashing moments, but had no idea what it was or what it did.

I believe it's for a guaranteed counter hit
Ki charge(to get it you press all 4 attack buttons at the same time)
is a state when your character does chip damage on block (upd, only in prior tekken games) and if you land a hit it will always be a counterhit
HOWEVER, during ki charge you CANNOT block, and first hit your opponent connects on you in that state will counterhit
Ki charge lasts for 4~5 seconds or until the first hit connects(from or to you)
Using ki charge at the end of round(after k.o.) is considered to be Bad Manners
That move appeared in Tekken 3 first time

is it bad etiquette to Ki charge in a match? I do it to add the counter effect to initiate a combo and I get lots of teabags when I’m on the short end of the match 😅 genuinely asking
Ki charges can sometimes be seen as BMing, so yeah use it to your discretion

Ki charging is not that useful, it leaves you without defense for a long time, it is even seen as an insult to your opponent, as if you were making fun
During a match? Not at all *if* your character has a utility for it (see Alisa/Raven/Azu, Asuka isn't seen but she has a ki charge tackle) or if you're setting up for an immediate counterhit
After you knockout someone, well you know how the song and dance goes

What is the purpose of ki charging?
The guy just stands there and looks cool and I can't find his usefullness
The next hit you get is a guaranteed counterhit (when you hit your opponent during out of the start of their move), but you are no longer able to block.
In practice, it's mostly used in practice mode or taunting.
