This by far was my greatest experience I’ve ever had being a Detroit sports fan! These players gave us so much joy and happiness during their era of dominance! It’s hard to imagine any one of the four major sports here in Detroit could have the impact that the Red Wings did for us over that decade+ of winning “4” Stanley cups! I hope I’m wrong and that the Tigers, Lions, Pistons and this current Red Wing team, can start a new dynasty here in Detroit!! Thank you for all the memories you gave to us during that incredible era of “Hockeytown”!!
My first year of watching hockey with my dad was 96-97. Konstantinov was my favorite player and my grandparents sent me his jersey for Christmas. I still have it to this day. Seeing the team grind through an extremely tough Western conference and sweep the finals to get the cup for Vladi was amazing.
StevieY is such a special man, so humble. I’ve loved him since I was 12 years old. So happy he’s back in Detroit. He will bring the cup back to Detroit!
Too difficult to get all these guys together 2 years in a row I guess. The teams were nearly identical anyways so may as well knock them out together while they're all in town.
No mention of Sergei Fedorov?? Really come on Red Wings, he was on the back to back teams…. And he wasn’t even mentioned at either ceremony and that’s pretty disappointing. They could’ve just said not in attendance: Sergei Fedorov.

Fedorov was my absolute favorite #91. in those years I lived and breathed hockey.
Born in 98. 24 now and I still get teary eyed. Grew up in Michigan Detroit will forever be home. I love this team.

I hope they do a reunion of the 2002 team. That was just as much of the Red Wings franchise history as well.
